Thank you! Just what I needed. Any other video I was watching was removing the wheel hub. I was wondering if it was necessary. This is the answer. Thanks a million!
Thanks. But I have to add that you caused me to misjudge this job by several hours! ;) The bolts on the bottom of the strut were rusted in place, I managed to get one out eventually, but to get the other side out I had to use a reciprocating saw to cut the control arm around the bushing and get it out, then a right angle grinder and a cutoff disk to get the old bolt out. Oh yeah, 3 of the rear bolts snapped off and one had been replaced with a random bolt and nut. I ended up buying the correct bolts and nuts so the alignment people can do their job more easily. But honestly, thanks for the video, at least I knew how things were supposed to happen, but here in the rust belt nothing is ever as easy as the videos show you.
Will this work for a 2008 Jeep Commander Overland as well, they look like the same. and do you sell everything I would need for My Jeep Commander... Great video
Just put in the new LCA. Now the sway bar link lower bolt won't bottom up. I tightened it until it can't tighten further anymore, yet it still won't go flush. Still have about 1/2" of thread left. Anyone run into same issue? I'll go get a new bolt at the dealership to see if it makes a difference. Any feedback is welcome.
I have a question. At the 2.18 .ark in this video you are about to remove the lower control arm. To the far right on the bottom of the fram hold the control.arm there is a 13mm head 8mm bolt that goes vertically up into the frame. There is one on the other side also. What are they? On my Jeep, one was half oit and the other busted off. What do they do?

They don’t tell you that lower clevis bolt is gonna take you 3 days to get out. You’ll probably have to cut it
5 hours later. still working on the bolt lmao
That Sir is how a car repair Vid should be made. Thankyou
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Also for mentioning the socket sizes and torque specs

I've never seen a ball joint come out so easily with a pry bar. I had to use a ball joint puller.
What are the torque specs for the lower control arm bolts?
Appreciate the videos for the old school WK. Need to replace this guy and sure nuf y’all had a clean to the point video. Thanks again.

Why do you have to remove the sway bar link upper bolt? Is it just for clearance room to work
Thanks for these videos
Try my best but can't pry that front ball joint out. Dang it.
Pretty useful
I have a 2006 WK and need new bushings at the lower strut fork bolt. Can these be replaced vs replacing the entire lower control arm?
I replaced my control arm because the clevis mount was seized in and would not come out. good luck to you on that.
