Yikes .... wish i saw this BEFORE i bought the warded and wafrer pcik sets. Also, I bought those chinese jigglers on amazon and I have the sparrows progressive locks but they are NOT ignition. they are door lock and trunck. got through the 3 and 6 within minutes of openign the package. 2 weeks later ive only gotten through the 10 wafrer 2xs. thats why i bought the chinese jigglers thinkin they would do the trick. and they have, the limited time i have gotten into it. not enough to say i can do it reliably.
Excellent informative review. That helps with the decision on what to spend money on or to make your own. Very cool old warded locks you have. Always nice to get a first open on camera with a tool that hasn't worked before. Cheers my friend
Hi Chris, cute locks love design on them. I have the Chinese too, I like the ones that you describe as saw tooth. They open vehicle locks pretty good. But usually I use a different method to open vehicles. They are great to carry in purse when you don't have all tools with you.
The general public seems to believe jiggler keys just magically open locks. Much like lockpicking in a whole, it takes practice to use them properly. Sure, you _basically_ wiggle them up and down and slowly back and forth in the lock while turning them ever so slightly, but you do also receive feedback the same as you do picking. It's just that with these tools it's much more difficult to feel. And each lock is a different experience due to the change in key bitting. If you're wanting something that opens locks easily with little or no skill, get bump keys.
Beautiful little Abus. The Warded pick set is definitely worth the money. I carry it on my keychain. The case is cool, although I don't have it. I only recently got the double sided wafer set, and I don't find them useful. If you use a tension wrench with them, they get in the way, and if you try it stand alone like a jiggler key, they don't work for me that way either. Maybe there will be some application where they work like a key, but I haven't found that so far.
Cool locks and nice video. I have had success With The Sparrows wafer picks. Recently I tried them at work on a soda fountain lock and worked straight away.. Just a wiggle and turning while wiggling. If that makes sense. I didn't use a tension tool. Opened right up. I like them personally. 👍
lockmania I have only been able to pick one Sparrows car lock with them. With the other ones, the ones I got on Ebay I have picked at least a dozen locks with! 🔓🔓👍🔓🔓🔓🔓🔓🔓🔓🔓🔓
Good review Chris although i'm not sure of their long term durability. They operate on the principle of chance so you could make your own that would be just as successful saving yourself money in the process. I think Sparrows as in many others are a pop up company jumping on the bandwagon to appeal to the "locksport" faithful. I think HPC were the genuine leaders in lock tools and the rest have just grabbed their shirt tails and copied what they could. Cheers:-)
Yeah the others seem to be much more functional. Maybe they are more cut to the EU. designs, not certain. Good luck trying them out. Surprised to see that old Yale there, no doubt. Been a long time since I've seen one of those.
I'm catching up on all your videos. Thanks for all your work in producing them.

Cherokee cool!!
How do you usually get into car locks? If I can ask.
🔓🔑👍🔓👍🔑
If someone is locked out of their vehicle, I use bypass tools. Air wedge and long reach tools. It is much quicker.
Cherokee cool!!!
