Hope you like it!
Sushi gen is the Best!
Yes. It is quite good.
Sushi Gen has great sushi. Their lunch prices went up quite a bit though.
Cool stuff.
My favorite place in LA 😋

Been their many times, sashimi and chirashi are really nice and the price were reasonable. But! Their nigiri sushi and salmon skin salad(feels like I was eating plain grass) was really bad and a little pricey.
I totally agree!
I tried their lunch special sashimi and it was good. The line is long though.
The line is the only real con. Everything else is a pro :)
Their chirashi is good as well, just don’t try the nigiri sushi, it’s horrible.
Me so hungry soup!
Oh yeah I'm the 1k subscriber!
Thank you! I love sushi!

Sashimi time. Holy Toledo
this is #1 spot in possibly all of California, even fresher than Nobu. A few tips - bar is way more expensive than a table with the lunch special - but you get to interact with the chef a lot more. It's acceptable to ask the chef to serve up his favorite nigiri, or roll. A few more tips - real wasabi is available at a higher price. The best lunch deal at a table is actually $30 - the sushi deal, not sashimi. Do NOT get sashimi by itself - you'll leave with an empty stomach, what a waste! You can order one order (two pieces) of nigiri and split it with a friend if you get full. You can request California roll with real crab. You can request a baked shrimp cut roll with avocado (not sweet shrimp).
Wow, you really know this place! I did omakase at the bar one time. It was pretty nice.
Rockstar Eater Better than a Omakusa is Salmon belly, fatty Toro, medium Toro, yellowtail belly, albacore belly, salmon, All as nigiri of course, California cut roll with the real crab, and shrimp cut roll with avocado plus real wasabi. That’s a meal fit for the Gods
Mikey Chen has let himself go
The new Mike Chen has arrived!
You didn’t even enjoy the true part of it which is the sushi bar and hand rolls! Robbed yourself!!
Yes, I sat at the bar and had everything in the past. Just for this episode, I was featuring specifically the lunch sashimi which is the most talked about entree here. Hope that helps. Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos this year!
The sashimi plate don’t look like a good value too me...
Interestingly, this plate was $10.50 when I first got it back in 2000. The price went up. But it's still a tasty meal. How much would you pay for it?
