My personal headcannon slimes around where Azusa lives are "offspring" of rimuru in the sense they contain trace amount of his cells. He careated them to deplite the local magicules preventing high magic areas like the moubtains where Laika was living beforr from affecting human settlement. When Azusa killed a bunch of slimes their spirits merged into a form mimicing rimuru therefore Azusa and Rimuru are the parents of the twin slime spirits
Also Rimuru knowing well that monsters inside Jura Forest eat slimes during summer: Also him knowing that his subordinates like to joke about eating him: (that was shown in Tensura Nikki)
