As of writing this, I came out as lesbian to my parents. Its cheesy but i kinda wanna write this out.
I had packed my clothes, essentials, medicine, and had written a note telling them that even though they'd kick me out, id love them.
When the time came to tell my mom and dad, I was like crying for 5 minutes before finally telling them I was lesbian. My mom simply said 'I know.'
I laughed so fucking hard. Here I was expecting my mom and dad to kick me out of the house. But they didnt. They loved me. They accepted me. Im forever grateful.

I'm 25 y.o. lesbian so I get where your mom is coming from when she's talking about 'being too young' ... When you're in your teenage years you haven't experienced getting too know enough people to a intimate level to determine if you are bi or gay, also your brain is not fully developed yet. For guys it's different (they are usually more fixated on visual stimulation when it comes to s. atracttion), but for a girl is not that easy to tell (believe me, I know people's stories from inside the l/bi comm. - people labelling themselves as 'lesbians' and then dating a guy, marrying him even aren't such an exception - I myself thought I was bi or asexual untill 19. y.o.: I was in love with a girl long before that, but wasn't sure if I could love a boy in the same way ).
If you're sure that's awesome, be patient with your mom she will come around. If you're not don't stress about it: as Gaga said 😁: "You must be yourself, respect your youth". You don't have to have all the answers now... time will show you who you are.. don't close doors to opportunities just for the need to label yourself

Also (dear gen Z👵🏻) for "older generation" is not that common to label yourself as part of lgbt community, they didn't grew up with as much representation of the lgbt as you do , it's harder for them to understand. They (from experience) need a further clarification (how one came to that conclusion who she/him they are) and more time.

I came out to my parents… they basically rejected me. My mom said i wasn’t gay and that God was gonna reject me, my dad said i’m too young to know what I want, and my stepdad said i was confused. Most of my family found out and later rejected the idea. Except my uncle, who told me to get a girlfriend and even said he would help me if my mom kept rejecting me. Thank you to my uncle, an amazing man 🏳️🌈
