- Published on Feb 13, 2026
- Week 9 of this pregnancy has been a full one. We had our very first official "OB" appointment with our new doctor, Jessi got on the anti-nausea medicine (although we're still waiting to see an improvement haha), Jessi ended up having some spotting and cramping so we went in for another check, and this week we were supposed to finish our PIO injections, however, we have some news about that too.
Thank you for all of your love and support! Don't forget to subscribe and turn on the bell so you never miss a new video! You can also follow us on our other socials below! Ciao for now! -Jessi and Alessio

“This is what a mom do for a child. Everything possible.” Well said, Alessio. ❤️
Jessi, please rest, I spent both my pregnancies lying on my left side, every time I stood up I bled.
Let me reassure you right away, both my babies were born healthy at 39 and 38 weeks.
If you need to rest for 9 months, you rest for 9 months.
Indeed. I believe the reason my pregnancy lasted after 2 miscarriages was because I slept through most of it lol
We need to stop telling pregnant women this. Most pregnant moms aren’t moving enough and can develop complications as a result along with abnormally long labors. Bedrest or all day resting has not been shown to protect pregnancies from miscarriage and with the help of your doctor you can determine what the safe amount of daily exercise or movement is for you.
@GW-gz8jh👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This advice helped my mum have me.
@GW-gz8jh OF course I want her to listen to her doctor! But if her doctor tells her she needs to rest then I hope she doesn't feel bad about resting for 9 months! I don't know her personally, but she seems like the type of person who can't stay doing nothing for very long.
That little heartbeat makes me smile.
So many people are praying and cheering you two on!!!!
When you guys showed that counter full of needles and vials, it literally made me cry. You’re such a sweet, sweet couple ❤ I’m so glad your dream has come true.
I have stacks of needles and vials and no baby yet. It's a tough road but you learn to deal with the emotions and keep on going.
I was sick during my whole 9 months. Then, there he was! 7lbs.14oz. Perfect baby boy! 🙏🥰
Same when I was pregnant 🤰 with my daughter and bed rest, she was 8.5, hard to believe she’s going to be 30 next month
Sick 24-7 for the first trimester ( I mean throwing up , lost weight even) had a 7pound 6oz baby boy . Had two more pregnancies same thing . I would do it over again , they are amazing people now. Best wishes
Must be something about carrying bots cause I was too!
You two can never be boring
Same. lost 57lb in with my first one.😬 He is now 26.
Yep, that is what a mother does for her child... you are already a mom when you start looking out for your child. ❤
Jessi, you are a warrior, you so got this. Just a few more weeks and this will be the story of your first trimester, and memory, likely a fond one you and hubby will always share.
Jessie, I went through IVF and I had a thyroidectomy pre pregnancy as well. My son is now 24 years old and just got married last weekend. ❤️ You are in the best of care, and you are very in tune with your body. I know first hand the worry, and the fear. My sweet Jessie and Allesio, we are praying you through all of this. ❤️
I can already see you in my minds eye crying while they place your baby on your chest after delivery 🥹 All of your hard work will pay off 🙏🏻Blessings to the four of you, can’t forget your kitty ❤️
Me too!! Happy tears!! I hear Alessio saying, "You did it, Regazzi, you did it"!! 🩷🩵
Re: nausea medication, the messaging around taking meds in pregnancy is so hard on moms, but if your doctor has cleared it, please don’t feel like you need to suffer.
My college best friend has juvenile-onset rheumatoid arthritis, and she always thought she’d have to stop her immunosuppressant infusion medication when she was TTC. By the time she started trying, her doctor told her to stay on it because it is worse for baby to have mom’s body be in distress. She has two perfect healthy babies now and didn’t have to stop her meds at any point ❤
Thank you for continuing to share your experiences with us, and I hope you feel better soon!
I did IVF too. I went and got checked as well for some cramping and light bleeding in the first trimester and I am now 31 weeks pregnant. The anxiety is real. Always praying for you guys and your sweet baby.
Prayers for you and a healthy baby 👶 🙏♥️
Prayers for a very healthy baby and mom.🙏❤️
🙏🏼💜🙏🏼
Fellow endo sufferer here... I had 3 miscarriages before a successful pregnancy. At my first "normal OB" appointment of pregnancy #4, the doctor said "I have no concerns." My husband repeated over and over again throughout the pregnancy "The doctor has no concerns." It really helped to keep me grounded (even though the anxiety is real!!) When I walked out of my last OB appointment before my scheduled C-Section, I cried tears of relief.
Hello from Belgium. We hear that American women getting C-sections is very common but may I ask why you had one if the doctor said he had no concerns with regard to your pregnancy?
@Canuckbelgothanks for your question-it was based on risks related to a previous surgery for endometriosis and a fibroid removal. So it had nothing to do with that particular pregnancy.
@christineclancy8089thanks for replying. I can't help but wonder though if the medical establishment in your country, doesn't impose this on women more for profit than the actual safety and wellbeing of the child and mother but who knows.
I had my first child at 26 and my second at 45. My second was a huge surprise blessing as we hadn't been trying.
I even considered ending it as my partner and I (now my husband) weren't living together at the time, we both had children from previous marriages and he has a severely mentally and physically handicapped son. We were both very nervous.
Anyway, this was in 2013 and my conscience told me to really consider how incredibly lucky we were as there were so many much younger women who were desperately trying to become pregnant.
At 12 weeks I had some cramping and spotting and was terrified I would lose her ! My doctor prescribed progesterone and all continued perfectly.
As for the birth, I too thought the doctor might suggest a C-section given my age but no.
I was also a bit overweight so they monitored me for gestational diabetes but nope never had it.
When the day got closer they closely monitored me for any sign of preeclampsia but nope, all clear there too.
My daughter, like her big sister almost 19 years older, arrived late even ! 😂
My doctor, who was the chief obstetrician of that hospital, said that their policy was to keep the birth as natural as possible as it was for the baby's wellbeing. He explained to me that babies born through the vaginal birth canal, had stronger immune systems.
Fast forward to now, our babe is now 11 and 1/2 years old. Knock on wood but she's rarely been sick (apart from an occasional cold).
So I think he was spot on!
Anyway, here I am chatting on the train, very early in the morning heading to work in Brussels. I wish you a lovely day... and oh boy, beautiful Jessica and Alessio are in my prayers.
I'm likely projecting as I was so afraid of losing our little girl but thank goodness it all worked out - and for you as well ! ❤😊
Sweetheart ❤ y'all are so loved and prayed for!
I have never rooted more for two strangers like I am for you. So so happy for you and praying for the little one😊
I had severe endometriosis and only could get pregnant with surgery etc... I did bleed the whole time I was pregnant with my daughter, the whole time, and she was born super healthy. I do think hormones were the issue, but I do hope that gives you some ease. I do think its normal sometimes.
Ivf and severe nausea here . The medicine was totally safe, my daughter is so healthy. It wont last forever, lucklily a few more weeks only. Sending ALL my love ❤
As a woman who went through IVF and a midwife, I would recommend to take the medicine. You would feel better and be able to eat, which helps both you and your baby. I always tell my patients, don’t let your fear impact your pregnancy. If something were to happen with the pregnancy, you don’t want to mentally link this as the cause. Even if it isn’t the cause, we often will experience the “what ifs”.
May Little Blueberry 🫐 continue to grow and not make Mama too sick! Dad, you’re doing an amazing job! ❤❤❤❤
After 5 years of infertility and miscarriages I finally was pregnant and I had all day “morning” sickness until about 21 weeks. As I was “green” most of the time at work my coworker would remind me that this was a good sign my hormones were working keeping our son healthy and safe. All I know is I had my precious 9 lb son 33 years ago. He’s our one and only but I couldn’t ask for a better son. I’m very happy for you both.
I was in a car accident in 2010 and elderly women hit me head on. I have had nausea and vomiting for 15 years without ever being pregnant. I had infertility went through IVF and my nausea and vomiting stopped. For the first time in 15 years. Being pregnant fixed my body apparently. I was expecting the nausea and vomiting tonworsen die to morning sickness but my baby likes me and was kind didn't make me sick. In my defense I have had 15 years of it without being pregnant ever i did my time I deserve a break. 😂
Yes this is what my doctor also told me. I had HG for all of my pregnancies and was sick until the day I went into labour. Drips etc in hospital for hydration - morning sickness it the worst. My doctor said if I had a baby with a different partners I probably wouldnt get sick as apparently the fathers side plays a role in it. Hubby nor I were keen on testing the theory of me having a baby with someone else 😂😂 We still laugh about it today and our baby is now 22 and our eldest just turned 30
Bless your sweet heart! I’m so sorry your sick, but it will be worth it in the end as you well know! Praying you feel better soon! ❤️
@meggo329I believe this! I had severe stomach issues for years but as soon as I got pregnant everything righted itself 😂
So cool. 33 years later this woman is happy for you ❤
Oh man, this takes me back to each of my IVF pregnancies and the extreme amount of anxiety especially since you work so hard to get pregnant and staying pregnant. When that baby comes you will have such a deep love and appreciation for your child because all the sacrifices you made to have them. It will all be worth it in the end, all the pain, nausea, and uncertainty is worth it. Hopefully the medicine helps and it is so good that you have an understanding care team, that makes such a big difference.
Same here. My IVF boys are 25 and 23.
Take the medicine sweetie. I have three grown beautiful sons turned into men. I had to take the meds with two if the pregnancies. Truly a life saver that allowed me to experience the joy of being pregnant instead of just not knowing how to get through each day. ❤️❤️
I was sick for nine months with my rainbow baby, and it was worth every minute of feeling green, call me Kermit the frog. I did try everything under the sun to combat that feeling and I finally found a few things that worked. Small meals, no matter what time, and smelling peppermint oil seemed to ease things enough for me to relax. That was 25 years ago and now my baby Luke, is several hours away obtaining his Master's degree. He is such a huge blessing. I am praying for ya'll.
My daughter is now pregnant with her and husband’s RAINBOW BABY in February 2026.
She is also experiencing the same symptoms as you did.
I am going to tell her your suggestion to stop the nausea.
They are having a boy and his name will be, Luca.
I thought I would tell you her journey so far and sounds so similar to yours 31 years ago.
Best wishes to Luke now and moving forward when he graduates.
You must be amazing proud Mama Bear.
This will be my first grandchild and our daughter was a blessing, our only child.
👋🌻🫂
Thank you, for sharing this incredible journey!!! I look forward to every update. I feel like an online grandma or auntie!!! You three are in my every prayer!!! ♥️ ❤❤
Thank you so much for your support un caloroso abbraccio
Please take the medicine!!! Life is better when you don't have nausea!! I am so thrilled for both of you ...
I completely understand your concern about meds. I also feel your pain with the nausea. I hope you feel better soon.
I had 3 meds. I was throwing up and peeing myself because I was throwing up so hard. Do whatever you need to do girl, it’s rough
Thank you for bringing us along and also showing us the counter. I'm not sure everyone truly understands the degree of what you have had to go through and are still going through. I pray the morning sickness goes down to a manageable level and the spotting and cramping subsidies. So thankful your little turkey is doing amazing! Keep eating what your body crazes.. everyone's cravings are different and not all the same things work. Your crazings are specific to what your body is lacking/needing and what your little turkey is asking for. 💙💗 So glad the OB you found has a personal connection to know what it is like to have gone and are going through. Remember they work for you and if something changes that you do not like you can always change. But everything sounds like it is going amazing. So glad they are being reassuring and helpful. Still praying hard that the lord keeps all 3 of you in his protective arms. 🙏 thank you for sharing.
I had spotting throughout my pregnancy due to a subcronic hematoma. Super scary but we have a healthy girl now. Also, I recognize the practice/doctor (she was mine too). She is the BEST! Super empathetic and reassuring with my spotting. :)
Stay calm. Being as calm as you can be will help you and the wee one. Find a craft, something you can do with your hands, to move away from anxious thoughts. Engaging that side of your brain will help. I promise!
Sending lots of hugs. I went through IVF for my twins. I ended up with HG (Severe morning sickness) and was on anti nausea medication until 24 weeks. My twins are now 10 years old and are healthy. I was definitely worried I wasn’t able to take care of the babies and possibly harming them. All the fear went away when I had them in my arms. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and hugs.
I had spotting throughout both of my pregnancies, off an on. (Both my IVF and non IVF pregnancies). I realized during pregnancy that spotting can be a part of pregnancy too, and that it doesn't mean anything bad is happening! You just saw the baby, he/she was healthy and growing, healthy heartbeat. Lots of stretching and action happening in the uterus so sometime there is just spotting. Or you cold have a little bleed (totally normal too!) I'm just trying to reassure you that all is well and nothing bad has happened. :)
As someone said in a comment, "We all are with you."
Rest.
Trust.
Choose a craft, art, hobby you enjoy to help you chill out and relax through the process.
It's a beautiful process.
And SO full of LOVE.
❤❤❤❤❤❤🤗🤍
Alessio is like no other husband I have ever seen! Bless you both. 🩷
Literally step by step. Praying for all. So glad you have such support.
I look at all this and I realize my sister went through all this 5x and 1 child. My niece is 17yrs old now and a jr. in HS. Intelligent, popular, cheerleader and ballet dancer. This aunt is so proud of her.
My daughter is pregnant with her second IVF baby and about 4 weeks behind you. She also had some light spotting but everything is ok. Her clinic doctor is so great and met her after hours on Friday afternoon so she could have peace of mind instead of anxiety all weekend. They did a sonogram and even heard the heartbeat! Praying your little one just keeps growing and that your nausea subsides.
Everything is PERFECT! Exactly what you want to hear. I'm sure it's comforting to know the doctors are taking such good care of you. It was shocking to see all the injections you've had to endure. I completely understand the anxiety. Sending you a Big hug! ♥
I started having spotting like that, I ended up having a polyp on my cervix from the progesterone shots and hormone fluctuations. I spotted until around the 6th month and now have a healthy 26 year old son ❤ My invitro baby 😊
Retired Women and Children’s Registered Nurse here- the OB’s I have worked with recommended a BRAT diet for hyperemesis. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Just a suggestion. And I am So happy for you 2!
Jessi and Alessio, you guys are soooo super amazing. Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us. Know that every single one of us is rooting and praying for you and your little one. Don't let anyone tell you, you are being paranoid or overthinking. You have already been thru so much. Peace of mind for mom and dad is way more important than what anyone thinks. Lots of love ❤️
Being anxious is completely normal! Mine went 100% fine with no concerns but I was so scared the whole time. It's completely normal, but don't worry about asking others to help calm yourself down.
When you put all the injectable materials on the counter - oh my gosh it is overwhelming You’ve been through so much ❤❤❤
Oh Jessi, watching this brings back so much emotion for me. I feel your anxiety so much honey. It's the worst part because you just can't stop your mind from feeling all the worry.
And your counter is all too familiar 😑🫣 We did four egg retrievals and two transfers. I kept on Progesterone through 12 wks with my sweet little miracle and was never advised to taper. I'm glad you thought to ask if that could be contributing to the bleeding.
There are just so many layers and you have to be a constant advocate for yourself. I am so so happy you are having a positive experience with your OB. And feel so well supported.
Stay strong, stay positive, you are doing amazing! We are incredible women to endure all that we do.
I've never been so happy to hear a foetal heartbeat than when I was pregnant with my own IVF baby (now in his mid teens). So relieved for you that all is OK. Hang in there, little one, & Jessi & Alessio. You are an inspiration to so many
You keep doing whatever makes YOU feel confident.
So sorry you’re sick 😢. I was sick the first trimester with my daughter. I had to take the medicine every morning or I was too nauseous. My niece was sick all the way through with her pregnancies and had to take the medicine too every day.
With her I also had a gush of blood one day early on that scared me. Got into the doctor right away, everything was fine. He called it a subchorionic hematoma (SCH). Scary, but she is now 6 months old.
I also saved the bottles, caps and some syringes from my IVF journey. I laid them out in a heart, took a picture and used it as my background to announce both our IVF babies.
Rest more than you think you need, once the baby is born you’ll wish you had rested when you have the opportunity. As a lot of people have already said, I had extreme nausea and spotting for the first 16 weeks, then it suddenly stopped. My son is 44 now. Good luck for the future.
You are legends, both of you. This baby has the most caring dedicated, thorough parents out there. Hugs from Australia.
Aww, baby looks perfect just moving around and loving life. Now,we want mama to feel better ❤️🙏
Sweet, little Mama…. I was given an injection of B6 with our second daughter. It really helped. God bless all THREE of you! ❤
What you can do Jessie because it is causing you some worry and nervousness, which btw is extremely normally and understandable especially with all the hard work you guys have put in with IVF, it's so good to get reassurance.
So You can double check with the fertility clinic that there is no interaction with the specific meds your Dr prescribed and the other progesterone or estrogen support you may be also taking. ✅
Also know that there have been 1000s of studies and research done with these medications on both natural conception and IVF ones with positive safe results, there was no difference between them.✅
You can also weigh your options. If you haven't tried cold ginger tea or ginger pops or chews I highly recommend they are powerful and natural but if the natural remedies are not working , you can ask your Dr about taking vitamin B6 with unisom first OR start this medication she gave you with a low dose first and see what reactions you have.
So keep in mind what to look for when starting, If you and any severe vomiting and can't keep fluids down for 24 hours , have dizziness and dehydration obviously stop the medication and contact your Dr but that probably wont be the case it's just good to know just In case what to look for and what to monitor for safety for you and baby 💖Hope this helps!💖
I'm praying everyday for you guys and your precious baby. Remember God is in control Jesus is God he is Creator you all are so precious to him. Lean into him, trust and follow him he's got you and will see you through it all
Bless you all in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit 💖🫂
The meds work wonders! I had hyperemesis gravidarum had a zofran pump with phenergan suppositories and my babies are now 13 and 11 and just fine.
My daughter took all the medicine, all the time and it made her feel better and my granddaughter is one now and is fantastic.
The nausea meds helped me so much! And don’t worry. Nausea usually goes away after first trimester. You can do it!!!!!!!
You 3 are in great hands!❤️
Sending hugs, love, light, prayer, and all good vibes your way, darling Jessi!
Zofran is a lifesaver for nausea.
Sooooooo true
Watch for constipation with Ondansetron/Zofran
I was remembering that they called it morning sickness. I had morning sickness day and I was taking medicine until 5 months. I had a healthy baby boy.
Ginger chews are amazing too. Amazon has various kinds. Better than zofran for me .
I had severe cramping and off and on bleeding with all three of mine. Bed rest was prescribed until 12 weeks of two of them and bed rest for 20 weeks for the other. They are all healthy!
I pray that your nausea fades and you have a healthy rest of your pregnancy. ❤ Your little peanut is growing fast. I love following your journey. God Bless you!
With my daughter I was sick the entire 9 months and ended up taking medicine. It helped so much! I ended up taking it in the morning and at night so I was drowsy all the time but I wasn't as nauseous and was able to keep food and water down. I also spotted with her (she was my "Let's experience everything!" baby) which very much freaked me out. It was a combo of the endometrin inserts and the ultrasound. I hope you start feeling better soon! Pregnancy is so rough and it's okay to rest and take all the time you need. You're growing a human and it's hard work!
Momma of 4 here... my last pregnancy, spotting the whole 9 months. Healthy, beautiful baby girl!
Jessi, you are a strong woman and you can do the shots! You and Alessio have come this far and if it helps, we all pray for you to get through it.
Praying for the 3 of you ❤🙏🏻
Prayers Jesse❤ we are glad you are allowing us all to see the true side of what you are facing. Many of us know this isn't easy. get to feeling better ❤😊
It is really sweet you are looking out for your baby so much. Just keep in mind that your health (Mostly Jessie now, but it stands for Alessio too!) is critical for your child’s health now, and after the birth. Do not put yourself last. You will always need to have your cup full to fill theirs ❤
I totally empathise with your anxiety. I had a lot of spotting especially in the first half of my pregnancy, followed by an incompetent cervix at 20 weeks, so my pregnancy was stressful 😅 thankfully he is now a perfectly healthy 9 month old ❤ I wish a healthy baby and pregnancy for you too.
I had HG. Getting an insulin pump with zofran in it has been life-changing for so many.
Friend, sending so much love. I was an IVF patient for 5 years, and I was so scared of coming off of PIO. At 10 weeks (and confirmed via transvaginal ultrasound), your placenta is doing the progesterone work. And you’re doing great. I also had HG, and DEFINITELY take the meds. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks you will get into the relief of 2nd tri.
The key to zofran is you need to be hydrated. That's when it works well. You're walking. That's wonderful. I couldn't walk with HG, I got down to 112 lbs, I was a stick figure. At around 14 weeks I got the help I needed, zofran and fluids. What I really needed was a PICC line with TPN and everything ( banana bag, if you know you know). I was throwing up 12x a day, yellow bile and after the bile it was nothing, water that went in would also come back up just as fast. With my second I did use MMJ and it was far less than my first. I started taking Zofran and phenergan suppositories and Diclegis. My HG lasted for 9 months with my son and about 12 months with my first, which was the worst and untreated. This doesn't include the fainting and bed ridden. Babies, ❤. Hg before during and the aftermath (HGBDATA) Starr Andrews she's amazing are websites and HER Foundation you can get more info.
So happy that all is well! As someone else already said....we are all with you! ❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤
Check on everything as much as you need to. It is so scary having been through what all you've been through and having to worry, so better to know and of course, hope everything is fine. Glad you guys like you new doctor as well. It's awesome that she's had IVF too.
I had severe endo too. Was vomiting all 9 months with my son. The medicine helped so much!
Positive prayers!! My daughter is going through IVF too…. She is waiting now to find out if she is pregnant🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
💝💝💐💐💐💐💐🙏
Awe good luck 🙏🙏🙏💖
I had bleeding as well but an ultrasound showed everything was fine. My daughter is now 9 and getting her tween attitude :) The best thing you can do for yourself is try to keep calm (as much as you can I know it’s hard) We are all rooting for you and sending more sticky baby dust!!!
I love that-sticky baby dust. I shall use that in my prayers for them.
I was spotting till week 11 and on bed rest. Everything turned OK. Try bed rest Jessie.
I was going to say just that. Rest. Have an afternoon nap everyday. When I was pregnant I had to nap every afternoon.
Praying for your baby to grow healthily and peace of mind for you both!!
I’m rooting for everything to go well for yall
All my love to you. I have three Ivf babies and suffered from hyperemesis. I took zofran and phenagrin for full 9 months on all pregnancies.
I can’t imagine how much stress you must be under. I had a pregnancy that stopped at 7 weeks, without any warning symptoms (and no nausea at all). Only at 10 weeks did I notice some brown spotting, and that’s when I found out it had stopped. I don’t know how much I would panic about everything if I get pregnant again.
Just keep calm and wait for your baby-you’re going to be amazing, all four of you (including the cat) 😺
Bless you both. I remember feeling exactly the same during much of our IVF pregnancy. The fear every bathroom visit brought was insane. I can’t even remember how long that went on for. But you ride it out, take everyday as a blessing and rest. Your body has been through so much with all the medicines too. Sending you all the love ❤
After our miscarriage, and our pregnancy after, my progesterone levels were very low. My Doc didn't think the pregnancy would take so we threw as much progesterone as we could at it for the first 12 weeks. Our daughter will be 7 on New Year's Eve. I totally agree with keeping it going because I know the anxiety you are feeling. Its incredibly scary. You and you docs are in our prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy. ❤
I started bawling my eyes out when I saw the leg and arm.... guys, I am so so happy for you!
I had a significant amount of bleeding throughout my last pregnancy. It is terrifying. Sending prayers it stops for you and praying your nausea gets better. And for a beautiful healthy pregnancy and birth 💖
I can see the blessing in both of your eyes, even those severe symptoms. I prayed for you guys in the past, and I am praying today.
As a Scandinavian that prays very seldom, I find my self praying for you two and your little bean❤.
Praying every day for all three of you. I cannot wait to see your beautiful baby 💕 ❤😊
The medicine should be very helpful! It was a game changer for me :) Wishing you guys all the best!!!!!!
I had sever hyperemesis with 3/5 and (potts with the other 2) and I also have thyroid/endo issues.
If you’re taking Zofran, beware of the Z poops, ask for stool softeners!!!
I had the worse nausea for 20 weeks! Zofran definitely helped, so take the meds. I couldn't function without it. I tried everything!!! All the natural remedies and only zofran helped. But do whatever you feel comfortable with ❤
Zofran was a life saver. Both my children are teenagers now, healthy happy kids. It was a journey and blessing. Sending good thoughts
Try not to worry. It makes sense what you are doing. Slow and steady wins the race re the taper off progesterone. That nausea med might be good for sleep as well😊.
I had an ivf baby 30 years ago. Everyday was stressful. At 22 weeks I got dreadful cramps we were on holiday in the middle of nowhere. The tiny hospital saw me. I was scanned and they reassured me. We chatted for ages as they had never seen an ivf pregnancy. Every thing settled. At 41 weeks I delivered a beautiful little girl. She just turned 30. After a decade of infertility I then had 2 further children. One with ivf and one without…. No fallopian tubes and only one ovary!!!
My IVF boys are 31! ❤❤❤
Hi Jessie and Alessio. We made ivf too here in Italy and I had three times bleeding in the first trimester.
I neved believed in this pregnancy till the end.
I can understand your fear.
In my case bleeding was due to meds. In our protocol I had to take both cardioaspirine and eparina injections. So my veins were very fragile and when uterus was growing it could appear some spotting. ❤️
I’m so glad you went and had the second ultrasound just to be sure everything was OK! And I love that they told you the reason why you’re having the bleeding is the decreasing progesterone shots! You’re always so scared to mention something to the doctor and then afterwards you’re like I should’ve told them before and saved myself all this worry!!!
You two are handling this stressful time so very well. Sending hugs and prayers...xoxo
I highly recommend a Doppler. I had extreme anxiety after a miscarriage and started using it around 8 or 9 weeks. I used it long before it was recommended to do so, but I was always able to find the heartbeat and it helped keep the anxiety down. I think the one I used was called Baby Doppler. It came with some gel, but when it ran out I used aloe Vera sun burn gel (it’s what I had), and it worked just fine.
I was hospitalised, during one of my pregnancies, with hyperremesis, chronic sickness. The hospital staff told me it was a good sign the baby was thriving. Mum wasn't l😅 but sure enough I had a beautiful healthy baby girl. It's so worth the temporary symptoms to nourish your child. 😊
I was super hesitant to take the medicine and I’m so glad I did. All my kids are fine and I was better too. After thalidomide (that was prevented in the US), medicine has to be super, super researched before being recommended in pregnancy.
It is so hard to not have anxiety during a pregnancy after experiencing a miscarriage! I had three miscarriages, but also two beautiful, perfect babies. The thing that got me through my successful pregnancies was thinking some version of this, every moment of every day: "I am going to be so sad to lose this baby, regardless of whether I anticipated its loss or not. So what good does worrying do? Nothing! I will assume everything is fine until someone tells me it is not." It is so hard, but do what you can to enjoy this beautiful life you are growing!! (And I had spotting and cramping on both of my successful pregnancies!!)
I love that saying! I wished I read that last year. What helped me was (also got it from another person on the internet) this saying "The most likely outcome is a healthy baby". Statistics helped. My baby wasn't 100% healthy as she was born almost 2 months smaller even though she was born almost on the due date. But other than being smaller she is happy and healthy
