The Basics: Alumnihood

Corps members and their students can make great progress in the classroom, but students need advocates in all sectors to ensure that they have the life choices they deserve. TFA's two-year teaching commitment is the foundation for a lifetime of leadership in all careers. The majority of our 37,000 alumni remain in education-as teachers, school leaders, and more-while others enter fields from medicine to politics to business and beyond to expand opportunity for kids growing up in poverty.
