Excellent work and very beautiful grips, especially the first one made of micarta and African wood, it is an elegant combination.
Greetings and thanks for showing them!

How many belt sanders have you been through? It is great to see such good work done with modest, and easily available tools. How did you modify the disk?

Hi, I guess it’s been four Scheppach sanders and the last one was converted to three-phase motor which brought also new disc design into it.

Beautiful work, just a shame about the micarta, I would probably never put that on a knife handle.. But if the customer wants it, micarta also has its advantages ..😉🙂

First time ever I used it. I’m curious to hear your knowledhe about it! It was pretty hard to sand and smelled odd too 😄

@@thetopicala I know, I've resharpened it once too, it's yuck.. But otherwise it holds more than anything, it lasts maybe more than a knife blade, a tooth quickly forms on the blade before the micarta gets damaged somehow!😉😊I personally don't like these plastics, bags, glues, but I understand that someone might like it... The best is a piece of nice wood and that in itself is beautiful, you still have to take care of the blade, why not a wooden handle👍🖖
