Does one listen in order to condemn, or look past the obvious in order to raise oneself up to a higher plane of consciousness? Don't we owe that to the eventual evolution of humankind? We are all ONE!
You're original statement was the drugs and meditation caused his condition, the latter certainly didn't and the former may have, but there is no conclusive evidence to state it did. He's a very old man who suffered a stroke, it's not unusual. The human body wears out. My own interest in Ram Dass is far from a following, more of a curiosity.
I don't think spiritual endeavors are pursued for any kind of benefit in this realm which is governed by particular physical laws - understand these laws are unbending. You cannot attain immortality from meditation, and anyone who sets out to obtain material gain from such a practice will miss the point entirely.
GREAT TO HAVE A CHNC TO HEAR RAM DASS AGAIN! A WESTERN GURU TO THE BABY BOOMERS. GRACIAS!
So good to be able to have time to take it in and make notes, thank you.So helpful, calming, encouraging and inspiring.
Thank you for your beautiful hello to the spirit within! Xoxo
Namaste, love from Arkansas
If in 100 years we remember some western gurus, Ram Dass will certainly be one of them.
I Am in the Father and the Father is in me WE are One
There is only One in many Forms
Hell is attachments, heaven is absence of attachments
He is so impaired, yet he beliefs still shine through.
