Nice video, but recently, DNA tests have shown that the BB sheep is not a cross breed of African hair and Euro wool breeds (as originally thought). They are actually closely related to sheep from the Iberian peninsula (Spain/Portugal). They are a wonderful breed, but cross-breeding programs, such as the USDA's creation of the hybrid American Blackbelly (with horns) almost destroyed the Barbados Blackbelly sheep in the US. I enjoyed your video, thank you for posting!

I have a small flock, I prefer the horns the American blackbelly rams have, very cool for wall mounts, very tasty meats

Blackbelly sheep are also found in Sudan with some difference from that shown in this video.
Maybe these breed originated from that of Sudan. What do you think,?.

My flock survive very cold Michigan winters quite nicely, thank you. I would say yes. Just give them a windbreak and a roof to stay dry.
