Water Power! The Spillway at Gavins Point Dam

  • June 21st 2019. At Gavins Point Dam between Lewis & Clark Lake and the Missouri River just north of Crofton, Nebraska and South of Yankton, South Dakota. The spillway gates are cracked open and 1,000s of cubic feet of water are rushing down at 50+ MPH into the Missouri River. As a company who makes their living off the movement and enjoyment of water, we couldn’t pass up getting video of this demonstration of water’s power.

    FYI: On June 21, 2019 the release was set at 75,000 CFS.

      Thanks!! It was impressive to see first hand. Wish I could have recorded the tour if the dam it self as that was incredible.
