Future of these drones Payload: became a yellow repaint of long haul Swindle: became remembered as a member of the combaticons Dreadwing: One of the main decepticons in transformers prime until killed by megatron Dropkick: One of the main villain decepticons in the bumblebee movie.
“Armored security services” Ah yes, A.S.S I love little Easter eggs like this, like how on the skids mudflap ice cream truck it says “made fresh for you”
11:10 ah yes that version of me Dark times they were for me....... I still sometimes see my old drone self while looking at a mirror, but hey I’m not that freak anymore!!! And now I’m Glorious!!!!!
In the IDW movie comics prior to Age of Extinction, Dreadwing and Payload were reused as Class Alpha Drone units (from Dreadwing) and Class Beta Drone units (for Payload).
its also worth noting that the g1 repaint movie jazz, g1 repaint movie starscream, and robovision optimus prime figures are also from this game, as unlockable playable sprites! The Videogame Toy line really is pretty sweet!
Swindle _did_ get a repaint, as the Autobot Camshaft. Interestingly, whereas Swindle remained pretty solidly a drone, Camshaft was exclusively portrayed as an individual, as the Autobots only really used drones in the videogames, basically so the Decepticons had bots to punch in their campaigns. In IDW's comics he was mostly a crowd-filler, and was killed off in the _Reign of Starscream,_ at the hands of Thundercracker. In Titan's alternate timeline story, he got a slightly deeper role, as leader of a team of specialists (including himself, Evac, Salvage, and Grindcore), called in to investigate the damage done by the Allspark to Earth, and stem the tide of natural disasters resulting from it. Also he was inexplicably rereleased in the RotF timeline, as a "value-pack" extra sold with the Leader class Optimus and Megatron toys. Dreadwing also got more characterisation in the comics, where he was portrayed as a drone who got upgraded to a sentient unit and now had a huge drone army of his own. He felt like his talents were being wasted, and eventually became the treacherous lieutenant to Starscream himself. His attempt to usurp Starscream failed, and Screamer proved far more efficient and dealing with upstart traitors than Megatron, punching a hole through Dreadwing's chest and ripping out his spark. The first three toys were also used as the basis for the small, medium, and heavy vehicle modes in the DS game, though the DS models are much cleaner, with less kibble, have more of a neck, and tend to have more guns.
There's two ways we can see them in SS now - either through Gamer Edition or through the concepts idea introduced with SS-109 Megatron and Concept Art Rumble
my favorite transformers game was, and still is, by far, the first two nintendo ds games! they had WAY more freedom than the big consoles!! and you could be your own character! be different vehicles with different robot modes! and unlockin the true characters as playables was SO rewarding! the worlds were big and the environments were destructable. if i could, id get a nintendo ds again, and try to find those games again, becvause they were a HUGE part of my childhood!
I played the heck out of those DS versions! They were very fun! The ROTF DS games weren't as good though in my opinion. Even though you could have your own bot, the game was very mission-based and had no free-roam if I remember correctly.
@@Hardcrafter2807 yeah im talking about literally the first two TF games for DS. not the rotf shit. it was the first two games- the autobot and Decepticon games i loved so dearly. you coul roam around an entire city as your own character, that could turn into whatever vehicle you wanted, and each vehicle type had its own transformation animation, and most buildings could be destroyed. and when you actually got to be the movie characters?!?!? OMG!!!! IT WAS LIKE HEAVEN!!! id give anything to play those games again
I really want to army-build with Swinldes and Dreadwings as Decepticon army drones. With Vehicons and Some random Seeker as well. They'll make a great army.
I just got two 07 Dropkick figures from a toy shop, neither had that back spoiler filler piece which I didn't mind. 2 figures, 10 bucks each. Both are still in pretty good condition, I have them lined up with Wreckage, ROTF Bludgeon and Generations Darkmount. Making Bludgeon's Mayhem Attack Squad but my take on it, just got Blackout to. They're slowly lining up nicely, debating on getting the Swindle to further build up their ranks. Edit: Oh I also plan on getting a few figs of Dreadwing, gonna have that be my "seeker armada" with 2007 Allspark Jetstorm as this group's sky commander.
These 2007 Deluxe Decepticons are great army builders for your Transformers movie collections. You can used them for Revenge Of The Fallen, Dark Of The Moon, Age Of Extinction and even in the Bumblebee Movie Display Shelf.
I used to have all these guys as a kid I had them all but they had different colors drop kick was red, Payload was a money truck I think and dreading was orange such nostalgia
Outstanding review Jcc2224!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Dropkick is my favorite of these four Transformers. :D I even have the repaints of Dropkick-Salvage, Swindle-Camshaft, Dreadwing-Overcast. :) Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D
I started buying some of these figures myself a few months ago (I wasn't aware you had done a video) to see how well they would go with the Studio Series Megatron (2007)....and they look great together!
Dreadwing is definitely my favorite of the decepticon drones. Probably because he's the only decepticon drone deluxe figure that i had. Also in the game he is huge, about as big as Starscream. Especially when you're fighting him as Jazz. Too bad his only offense was the flamethrower gimmick. I wish they gave him more to do.
I actually remember owning all 4 of these Drones. Idk what happen to them. Either my dad throws them away, or they were just lost. I wish i could've handle them until i get older to just display them.
Dreadwing and payload would go well with transformers prime vehicons as heavy hitters and flyers and since transformers prime flying vehicons go for alot we can use dreadwing as the flyers since it's alot cheaper and have an drone look
I remember these good figures :,) I just don't get why you don't have Overcast which is a repaint of Dreadwing. Also Autobot Salvage which is a red repaint of dropkick.
I remember owning swindle when I was little, my dad tells me I played with it way to much and he got loose so it was hard to transform him so he had to throw him out which is unfortunate.
I have the SALVAGE version of the Dropkick figure. :D Also that GAME.... SO FUN to run around destroying things, (I pretend that Bee is a decepticon clone i made up named YELLOWJACKET) The suburbs was my favorite of the hubs in that game. My least favorite level was defenetly Hoover dam XD
hey! Shockwave from the game DOES have a figure, BUT it is a repaint of a whirl figure. dont know the name of it, but there IS one of 07 videogame shockwave! :)
That's Transformers Cloud Shockwave. While it does kinda resemble the 2007 game, it has no connection with it whatsoever. Transformers Cloud was about repainting toys of secondary characters (Blitzwing, Springer, Whirl, etc.) into primary ones (Starscream, Hot Rod, Shockwave, in that order).

Swindle got repainted into camshaft who is grey maroon and black
Bottom part of dreading is called a drop tank. Holds fuel.
The toy swindle is red cause the toys were made when transformers the game was still in development and beta stage
These drones are odd. And unique as I msyelf haven't seen them before I may have seen the red one but probably forgotten about it.
Dreadwing in robot mode reminds me of Armada Thrust
