Would've been cooler if Hulk caused the hydraulic press to break. Kind of made him look weak when he bailed out, even though he was literally holding the thing with one hand while he freed the other guy with his other hand. I guess they didn't have the budget to trash the thing.
I read somewhere that those crushers can exert like 80,000 lbs of pressure or more. Not weak!😊 In "Prometheus" he destroys a hydraulic press - it's pretty epic

The only episode where they didn't pitch down Ted Cassidy's voice for the Hulk. In some previews of episodes his voice isn't pitched down most likely because it was earlier takes.
Producers were trying different things out at the time. This was the first episode to feature Lou's modified and toned down Hulk make-up. The next episode used both make-ups during the course of the show. It was ultimately decided to have a less scary hulk on tv. The shows core audience during the first season was primarily teens, kids, and young adults.
