Ma'am, I am deferring my intake to Jan and the start date is Jan 9 I suppose. Now, does arriving in the month of December posses any problem? As I have heard that in December everything is closed in the UK. What if we have already gotten accommodation priorly to coming?
You can arrive in December, I did too! There is no problem coming here, Just that it is all closed post 23 rd approx and till around 5 Jan. Even the university is closed. The streets are almost empty, so the holiday here is more of family time. Some of it may be different as I came in when there was Covid but primarily it's closed. If you want to settle it is a good idea to arrive early, but if you want to look for accommodation as well then starting in December makes more sense rather than end of December or else Jan.
Hey! I can't find any information about leaving UK when you're there on a student visa. Do you know if you could visit your home country when living in the UK?
Felicia , you are only allowed to leave UK in the official University holidays and that too with the consent of University . It is always better to take a written permission before you leave as it may then create issues at the time of PSW
