Should definitely learn to add these during the video, but them again, i feel it breaks the immersion. I'll be streaming Remnant 2 as soon as it's out on Twitch. Find my link in the description
Good job on this! The story can definitely feel a little hard to follow when you play through the game (especially for people that only played Remnant) but you made it much clearer. Really well presented and good thoroughness :)
Thank you! I'm glad I could make the story clearer and more enjoyable for you, especially considering the challenges of following it in the game. Your positive feedback is truly appreciated, and I'm grateful for your kind words ))
I played through remnant when it came out and fell in love. Years later ive finally played through chronos and EVERYTHING makes sense. If you havent played through it, play through it! Its a really fun playthrough
Of course I played through it. You can even find a link to the vods in the description. The game didn't age that well and lacked overall, but definitely enjoyed it nonetheless
The angry trees xD You're right though. This saga can be limitless, if they play their cards right. An all out Guardians of the Galaxies type of war against angry plants.
@@Liisn absolutely, as far as we know, only the Guardians have been there to individually protect their own worlds, we don't know if anyone has stood their ground and taken the fight against the Root, Humanity is now aware of the grand stage that is the cosmos, Humanity is basically the Guardians of Earth and the labyrinth, the nexus that connects the worlds, unless the Pan go extinct (hopefully we get to fight alongside the Rebels), they can probably become Humanity's allies, maybe Ezlan doesn't get any funny ideas and joins too, idk, i love Remnant.
@@SympatheticStrawmanVA Would be smart to end it here, and pretty cliche to not. Doubt Ezlan can do anything remotely close to waging war. Civilization is in ruins and will take centuries to rebuilt towards it's former glory. But the game has potential to expand infinitely. Not in the form of a sequel, but an in universe story.
Chances are we'll block out the Root from advancing any further into the labyrinth realms, then we'll probably build up either a united force or a human force to strike out at the root's origin worlds.
I hate when people say rement doesn't have much of a story you can tell they didn't fully explore the first game. There is a reason I brought chronos before the ashes and why I'm watching this story synapses getting ready for remnant next week. I'm so excited I can't wait!
Is it crazy to think that this would be the first thing our government would do. Use people even children as test subjects to try to tap into other worlds and possibly try to control other beings that would only lead to our own demise. 👀
I advice you to read on some research notes. A good start would be Josef Mengele's, also known as the Angel of Death.Nothing close to traveling through dimensions, but equally fucked up. CIA and FBI ain't so innocent as well 👀
The lore in Chronos: Before the Ashes dictates exactly that. Warriors trained to be able to dedicate their entire span of their lives to defeating the dragon (what they thought would defeat the root back then). When you die in Chronos, your character even ages, indicating that you spend time training to "perfect" your fighting arts.
Im pretty sure that is the premise. The island is where most of the village has dedicated their lives to training in hopes that they would find the solution to quelling the root. Every generation there is a hero that takes it upon themselves to head out search for answers. In Chronos, the Worldstone is only activated on a specific night, once a year. When you die, you are sent back to your body and return to your village to train for another year until it's time to make your way back to enter the Worldstone
i have this theory that the final boss in remnant two is actually clawbone and the hero of chronos merged as one. As far as i know the chronos hero is not a dreamer and cant replace the dreamer that also looks just like the dreamer of chronos instead i think the actions of the hero of chronos fully corrupts the dreamer and we kill him and the roots link in ashes. Look how harsgard turns from human into a big monster from the time of chronos to remnant 1 and how remnants twos final boss looks like the clawbone dragon and then in phase two shows a human rooted inside it. Thats why i think final boss of remnant two is actually the chronos hero. I think ford is working with the remnant 1 hero to sever this link
He doesn't. To refresh memory, the dragon was one of the first enemies in Remnant. We now also know the Root are a hive mind entity. The dragon was merely a minion used to create the rumors in Chronos and bait the people to send a champion to become the new dreamer, aka a new gateway to Earth.
@@Liisn Ahhh, I see. I thought the dragon was the main baddie, but that makes sense! Can't wait for more story in a few days! Thanks for the great video and explanation!🙏

In remnant 2 the protagonist of Chronos is refer as the destroyer and the protagonist of remnant 1 is known as the wanderer
Finally, a Remnant Lore video that isn't 40+ minutes and makes sense.

The Root better not end in the sequel, there's so much potential in the franchise, an all out war between an allied front and the angry trees

I think the saga of our struggle against the Root will end in Remnant 2, and either the Iskal or Ezlan will become the new antagonist.

Lol i forgot everything from the first Remnant DLC. I even forgot that there was a whole ass ice zone and that we met Clementine there....
Amazing content like always Liisn, easy to understand explanation, and a soothing voice telling the story. 10/10 man

Excellent summary in a few minutes, thanks.
I especially appreciate the minute mark you reached. I'm very fond of the numbers 4, 5 and 9. Perhaps what you say in this video is true, brother man.
Brother man, I specifically made it so keeping in mind the preference on minute marks you specifically have. Very indeed

What are the chances of this mysterious island where our character comes from is a elite warriors hand picked for these dangerous missions?

Sorry buddy, but the "hero" of Chronos is dead, He is the final boss in Remenant 1.
My only question is why didn't Ward 17 have access to guns? lol can't wait for your remnant 2 lore videos.
But what about the dragon? We hear about him in Chronos, but where does he fit in Remnant? Is he Clawbone?

Will you make video on remnant 2 when you finish it? I suppose this is a silly question though lol

What is up with stones and lore being attached to them lol. I guess stones are some of the list resilient substance on earth I guess.
Caveman methods
sadly the story of remnant 2 is quite lackluster :/
Wish there would’ve been way more logs and backstory like we had in R:FtA
so far, this is my experience as well, with an exception of N'Erud. whoever worked on that world was definitely pouring in passion.
The world lore and backstory is much better than the main plot
