C8 has a different trans axial gearbox

Yes
the clutch is engaged bu fluid right?
Hydraulic pressure actuates it yes. The clutch itself is also lubricated much like a typical motorcycle clutch

I still like the old T56 better. You just can't beat it if you want to have fun with your car. Comparing this to a manual transmission is stupid. Sure it is "faster", but there is nothing fun or engaging about pressing a button to shift gears.

Said nobody ever with an F1 style car paddle shifters...but I get it, not a true manual.
I don't know... I had fun and about shit my pants schlappin the shifters in the new 500 and climbing to 200 at a frightening rate. It's also incredible how it nails downshifts when you ask it to or are coming to the off ramp but still want the revs ready
