What is impressive is the Sherpa do this repeatedly, multiple times and lay down the path. They're the unsung heroes of any climb. The rest of us are just tourists.
First comment and HAS to be about Sherpas doesn’t it. Look, it is law that they lay out the routes and accompany climbers, foreigners cannot go it alone, and they are paid handsomely. Stop demonising your own already. Yes they are great, but why all the mawkishness?. there was no climbing there until foreigners came along.
Those aluminum ladders aren’t even built to be stressed in that direction, up and down is their strength by design. They’re risking more than they think as the metal is stressed wrong in the cold.
Great balance, my only concern is why use a two piece ladder? Tied together on top of it, not that I'm against the tying part. One piece extra strong ladder is a must with all these millionaires
Thank your Sherpas and PAY THEM WHAT THEY ARE WORTH! Your lives depend on them so you should be paying them really really well. Thank you to all good men & women.
They DO get paid what they are worth, don't worry. A 20year old can earn $ 7,000 in two months, that's the equivalent to $ 70,000 in the US. Sherpas are the richest people in Nepal, it's the non-Sherpa population in other parts of the country who are dirt poor and really suffering.
Congrats dude 🎉❤! I would never get past the Khumbu Ice Fall. My luck 🍀 would have a serac the size of a house knock me down into a crevasse with no End to it.
I don't quite understand why the ladders need to barely rest on the ice.. cant extend ladder further or add an additional ladder to cover more of the base?
Sherpa are cool. Trained in their chosen career. But the motivations of tourists? Sheer insanity. Which is more important, bragging rights or living to see tomorrow? I know which one I'd choose.
That’s just two ladders roped together. See the 1998 Everest IMAX movie and some crevasse crossings have 4 ladders roped together. The ladder is only a c. 16” wide, yet the crevasses are 10s-100s ft deep… I bet, included under “Mandatory Equipment”, are diapers.
What I find funny about this.. How many people have ever crossed a crevasse standing on a ladder with crampons on? The percentage is so small, it would be a fraction of way less than 0.1% of the population. I think it is fun, doing it in the middle of the night is pretty damn awesome, it is just a black bottomless pit beneath you.
All these years of climbing these mountains and they’re still using a ladder from Home Depot? You’d think they would have developed something a little more substantial and safe for use. I mean these people pay tens of thousands for custom gear, yet still use a cheap ladder. That’s crazy. It’s 2023! Develop a mission-specific tool to replace those rickety ladders already!
Absolutely insane, why would anyone play with their life like these thrill seekers, goin some army want thrill, if your gonna play with your life help someone else while doing it, this is for no other reason than I climbed Everest.
What is impressive is the Sherpa do this repeatedly, multiple times and lay down the path. They're the unsung heroes of any climb. The rest of us are just tourists.
It's sad how amazed you are about them sherpas and not the fact about killing the mountains?? 😢😢😢must be amrcan
@@carlklump2684 It's said that your English is so bad that I cannot understand what you've written. How are mountains killed?
@@carlklump2684 my man got that broken english going on

@@carlklump2684 what are you saying 😂
I think the algorithm wants me to climb Mt Everest 😂
Hahaha…made me laugh!
Just do it 🎉
To be precise, algorithm wants you to be in one of 300 people statistics.
😂
The algorithm has shifted on me now
The attraction to this mountain is the prospect of becoming a permanent part of the mountain.
That sounds like a fatal attraction to me
I'd be the only one crossing on my hands and knees
Not the only one
And not looking down😅
I just watched a docu and the climber did that. Eventual she got the courage to walk across.
Somehow, I don’t think you would be the only one! 😅
I’d be one they left behind, cause I’d never cross any way other than a bridge made of steel and concrete the span and 12 feet wide.
Dude took his eyes off that last step. You’re never really secure until you’re at least a full stride on land
The mountain isn’t the one who kills them. Their ego kills them.
My clumsy ass would’ve tripped and fucked everything up 🤦🏽♀️
Not wit spikes
😂😂
I would be sprinting across that Home Depot ladder
Did you haul up this Home Depot ladder?
😂😂😂
The closest I’d get to the peak is the base camp. I would not attempt to climb mt Everest . I’m not crazy lol
facts, gotta better stuff to do in life, base camp sounds chill tho
😂
Same here.
Basecamp is close enough.. I'd be admiring the mountain from there and smoking a joint..
People actually die while hiking everest basecamp
So that's where my ladder went😂
😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
Sick!
ХРАНИ ВАС БОГ!🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Run berry run
I WOULD NEVER ATTEMPT TO DO THIS. WOW AMAZING 😮 👏
I'm pretty sure several Sherpas actually died falling there recently
The Sherpas are what’s amazing they’ve reached the top more than anyone yet don’t get credit
Amazing ? Or stupid… I’m calling it dumb af
@@gardensofthegodsactually three Sherpas did die this year when an ice serac fell on them.
I’m just thankful there are people out there willing to do this. Just so I have something to watch on the John.
Many thanks 🙏
Awesome job
Good job👏👏👏
Imagine, you summated and know you need to now cross back the Icefall to get back to Basecamp.
Very impressed ❤❤
Ohooo mingma sir nice video my boy ❤❤❤❤
EXTREME.
And sherpa behiind
So dangerous!
You guys look so cool n stylish. Hat's off.
Absolutely amazing.
One of the reasons I would never attempt to climb Everest is because I’d probably freak out and die at this point 😂😂😂
Oh boy those aluminum ladders boy give me the nerves but thankful for having them!
I’d literally fall
😂😂😂😂
Idk why I’m being recommended this but I fuck with it.
I would never... ever go there
pecinta tantangan
I thought this was only in movies but damn, Everest is a dangerous place
Those aluminum ladders aren’t even built to be stressed in that direction, up and down is their strength by design. They’re risking more than they think as the metal is stressed wrong in the cold.
So great❤You are so strong and stable❤
Hard no
Enjoy every fantastic second

Seems fun
strange ladder
THE HIGHEST CEMETERY IN THE WORLD
Thank your Sherpas and PAY THEM WHAT THEY ARE WORTH! Your lives depend on them so you should be paying them really really well. Thank you to all good men & women.
They earn a year's salary in a few weeks, the ones that run their own businesses earn fortunes.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'd be hooked on the cable!! You never know !😱
It's very dangerous....previously they have no cracks. After earthquake big cracks formed
These guys have balls of steel.
Congrats dude 🎉❤! I would never get past the Khumbu Ice Fall. My luck 🍀 would have a serac the size of a house knock me down into a crevasse with no
End to it.
lol. keep up the good work..
Notice he doesn't even take the last step!!😮😮😮
Just here for the comments about Sherpas and trash.
Respect to those sherpas who risk their lives to support their families but the rest of them for the thrill of it.
I don't quite understand why the ladders need to barely rest on the ice.. cant extend ladder further or add an additional ladder to cover more of the base?
I wonder the same.
They need some trees to tie off to
Each short I have watched lately there has been someone coughing!
I thought he was gonna fall
Respect Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay for not having such ladders, ropes during their 1st expenditure
Look mA I made it. Top of the world 😅
No sympathy for fools. 😂
I can climb 🧗♀️ that mountain 🏔️ but coming down is even harder
The ladder in the movie seem like 100 meters!!
Great way to break youreg
I understand adventures but, I don't understand this. It does even look fun...
awesome dude! live that life
Here it's more like die that death.
I would never do that! Much resect
snorkeling in Hawaii sounds much better
Sherpa are cool. Trained in their chosen career. But the motivations of tourists? Sheer insanity. Which is more important, bragging rights or living to see tomorrow? I know which one I'd choose.
I just saw where 2 Sherpas died when the ladder collapsed into the crevas.. and an avalanche buried everything.. so.. not always a success. 😢
Das ist kein Bergsteigen mehr, mit soviele hilfsmitteln.
Why does insta & youtube suddenly wants me to climb mountain. I m getting such videos 24*7
I could only attempt this if after a night of drinking
fuck i just watched those poor Sherpas that died when their ladder fell just recently R.I.P they couldn't rescue them due to active avalanches
dang, that ladder bridge is no joke! Salute to all the sherpas risking their lives on mount Everest
That’s just two ladders roped together. See the 1998 Everest IMAX movie and some crevasse crossings have 4 ladders roped together. The ladder is only a c. 16” wide, yet the crevasses are 10s-100s ft deep…

The ladder is barely hanging on the edge of the solid ice
I think someone's lungs not sounding so great.
Ain't no Way

So much traffic…
No way no way no way
That ladder is about 2 ft too short lol
After that last avalanche, where they lost 16 sherpa,. I get more excitement watching it on tv.
These people have more than nerves to walk across a ladder that has rope holding it together over a BIG ASS HOLD 😳
I'll stick to the local ski park.

For what, it’s a death trap
Easy...
Oh hell no! Icy slippery and one slip and you’re falling deep into the abyss
Absolutely insane, why would anyone play with their life like these thrill seekers, goin some army want thrill, if your gonna play with your life help someone else while doing it, this is for no other reason than I climbed Everest.
When you fall yell real loud cause I love to watch
Longer ladder plz
Some one coughing away , hope you made it up and down ?!
Falling seracs are a big danger there
Why?🫢...I feel nauseated ! Can't watch ! God bless you ! ❤
They can't find something safer for that crossing and the others like that.
You would think , that by now , they would buy TWO longer one piece ladders , maybe by calling Amazon
I was planning to summit the everest till I saw Kumbu ice fall and then I knew it's was not for me
Yeah that looks 100% safe. It’s what ladders were meant for 😂
what do you expect, them carrying a bridge on their back.
Those poor sherpas who had to carry up those ladders and tie it up so amateurs can “climb” up 🙄
And our next contestant on dumb ways to die!
when Ondery the giant went up Everest he just steped across
I only see poor people risking their lives laying a path to make life easier for selfish rich people.
Should cost$500000 for clean up and body retrievals. These people have left a mess up there. And nothing new or brave it's been climbed 100s of times.
