I already got two great quotes from this interview. Every time you listen to Ice talk, rap, or whatever he always leaves us with gems. Some artists you can hear them getting interviewed and if you heard one you've heard them all. It's not that way with Ice-T.
I always wondered why I couldn’t find any of his albums edited. The only cd I ever got was a promo release of OG that is edited, I wish I had edited versions of the others.
LL Cool J and Queen Latifah are pretty big too. A big artist who goes to acting will most likely be a big actor too. Will Smith being the biggest of them all.
Personally I don't think people love "Gangster Rap" because it's people's real life, i feel people like it simply because it's an uncensored story, media is so edited it seems refreshing to hear something uncensored, similar to horror films and Gangster films
What radio stations are playing Body Count anyway? I feel like if you're playing Body Count, you're not worried about swearing. It's not something they're going to play on a Breakfast Show.
I'm only see this then I say how come the two damuz never mentione not toward ice t interview i was just say that mack 10 and quik never mention..hopefully the interview mentions quik mack 10 and wc..
Original Gangster rappers. From the Bronx and Philly. PSK by Schooly D is the blueprint for 6 in the mornin' which is the blueprint for Boyz N The Hood. Justice was down with BDP. Had a song called Original Gangster of Hip Hop which was one of the first really explicit rap records.
Well ICE being the godfather of GR, I must disagree. I’m of the age to where I was there, and in LA. West coast gangster rappers grew up with different musical influences that’s east coast rappers did. Gang members and loweriders listened to funk as to where east coast rappers listened to disco …of course there’s cross over music but as a whole it was a different culture entirely. Gangster rappers rap to gangster music , it’s a whole cultural difference.
Ice Cube was just a spokesperson for gangsta rap based on his articulate writing talent. The title Godfather is earned in a respectful but street orientated way.
U R real Wish their was more people like U Sincere Interview Today music is evil, demonic Anyway, I stand for Jesus Proud who I am, I like you what you said, “should be yourself “ I’m not a rapper, but I listen to Christian rap, like Hulvey, Young bro whose under Bryann kingdom Muzic I wish you make a Christian rap
RAPPIN' 4 TAY was alwayz PLAYER, never a gangster. Drake was quoting him on some rap player "studio to woman" metaphor. Too Short has always been a Pimp. Keep it straight now. Learn to rappers.

Good interview. I always learn a lot from Ice-T interviews just like 50 cent, 2 pac etc. Ice-T is a true og and legend.
Awesome. Thank you so much, Soren. Really appreciated. One of hip hop's greatest goats. Hail Ice T....with nothing but a microphone contract.....
No doubt, @Chuloloc. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, as always.
This is one of the most thorough interviews I’ve ever seen. Shouts to the OG Ice & Soren.
Another great interview Soren. I feel the same way as Ice does, especially at the end. Much respect to the ORIGINAL GANGSTA... ICE-T

Ice did mention Beastie Boys mixes and MC Skooly D from Philly influenced him regarding the cadence, and style, reality stuff
LL Cool J and Queen Latifah are pretty big too. A big artist who goes to acting will most likely be a big actor too. Will Smith being the biggest of them all.
For sure, @johanskold8890. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Essential viewing with the OG
great interview! I came up during all this & I even brought the cop killer tape & didn't even like it, but it was the OG Ice T
Ice T censored himself when he said "Young men". LOL 41:19
THE OG, giving back to the game when he's sitting on top and really has nothing to gain from it. Mad respect, Ice-T!
You said it, @GunnyPhillips. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Dope interview. 👊
Ice is the realest cat in the game
I haven't watched the whole video, so idk if they mention it, but Ice T actually was in a heavy metal kunda punk rock like a band called "body count."
great stuff, is there more of this interview?
Thanks Soren and thanks Ice 👌🏾👍🏾
I heard ice say the exact running back up the hill metaphor he must mean it O.G
Personally I don't think people love "Gangster Rap" because it's people's real life, i feel people like it simply because it's an uncensored story, media is so edited it seems refreshing to hear something uncensored, similar to horror films and Gangster films

Isn't this a rerun or am I tripping... could swear I seen this a couple years back
The media didn't label it gangsta rap.
West coast artist did
Nah, it was the media. They even came up with "rap music" and "backpacker rap." Rappers weren't called that in the beginning. They were called MCs.
The power of influence is serious and if it’s abused it will haunt you in many unexpected ways imaginable to your life🙏
Hard to think, he is 64 years old, because he does not look 64 years old.
He out lived the fans that tried to immulate the rap songs
Good afternoon
#jersey LEGEND

It’s not funny that you’re illiterate but it’s funny that you edited the comment and I still don’t understand it😂😂😂
