Anyways, technically a full auto M4A1 is a shortened M16A3, the earliest iteration of an automatic M16 was the XM16E1, later known as the M16A1. And the earliest iteration of a burst M16 is the M16A2, as shown in Black Ops Cold War. The M16 in COD4, MW2, MW3, AW, MWII and MWIII is the modern M16A4 variant, which said variant also spawned the M4 Carbine, basically a burst M4A1, before the M4A1 even existed. And then, they switched the Carbine's fire selector to the S-1-F system, creating the iconic M4A1. So it's the opposite of the sentence in the time stamp when it comes to the guns.

Thank you for bringing a little gun nerdy to this, it should always be welcome. I feel the need to add a little correction though: The M4's life cycle started in tandem with the M16A2 in 1983 and the M4A1 entered service in 1993/94. The M16A4 didn't come about until 1997. It's also worth noting the M4's were a direct lineage from the Colt Carbines (the CAR series), not the M16 directly - which started with the XM177 before evolving into the CAR/700 series. In a similar vein, Colt's carbines, specifically the 733 and 933 respectively were the predecessor to the Mk18.

The JAK Patriot M16 feels like the OG Warzone/MW 2019 M4 with the Grenadier Barrel on it.
Also MW 2019 would have let him make the the Metal Gear Patriot build he wanted. 😆

Tip to make it full-black, use the “Shadow Stalker” camo in the stripes camo category. It’s on a MW2 weapon.
To actually make it fully Black, use the Charcoal camo, which is a Solid Color camo that is pure Black, you can unlock it easily by leveling up the Chimera MW2 assault rifle a bit and completing the camo challenge, it’s very quick.
@@shomie911Charcoal doesn't cover the carry handle on the aftermarket part so shadow stalker or dark echo are the closest to full black.

0:54 its an A3, the A1 fetures a carrying handle built into the upper reciever and typicly is seen with a triangular handguard (or with the A2 style round one on the M16A1E1), the A3 uses a flat top reciever and the first genoration (like the first genoration A4s) fetured A2 style round handguards but early into production this was changed to the iconic GWOT era KAC quadrail

historical context: the original version of the M16 was fully automatic, they did not switch to the burst mode until the A2 model. THis was also strue for the M4 when it was formally adopted as the main service rifle in the GWOT, it too was a burst fire weapon. The M16 would get its automatic version back in the A4 model and the M4 would be converted to the current service model of M4A1 which is now fully automatic

0:42 no you put a Full Auto trigger pack on an M16 it's still an M16 (M4 is just the carbine version of an M16 anyways). Fun fact; The only reason why burst fire exists on the M16 family at all is someone at the Pentagon got their panties in a twist over "Wasting Ammunition" in Vietnam with all the Draftees constantly mag dumping at the slightest noise in a gun that was only intended for full auto as an emergency function. So instead of training their soldiers to use short controlled bursts they put a mechanical limitation on the gun instead. They also decided to use one of the most ass backwards burst fire mechanisms ever invented that consists of a "ratchet" system on the trigger mechanism that looks like a tiny spoked metal wheel. That had the unusual quirk of if the user hadn't completed a Full 3 round burst the mechanical ratchet "remembers" how many rounds it fired so you could end up with 2 or even 1 shots fired even if you have enough rounds in the mag for a Full burst. Then there's the weirdness that the ratchet mechanism gives the gun about 3 different trigger pulls even in semi-auto which is very bad for trying to get consistent accuracy. The worst part is the thing was the ratchet was designed to be easily removable with a pair of pliers as a "Field Modification" and was only intended to be done so in the event of the Soviets invading Europe which obviously never happened so the guns were always stuck with the ratchet till they were retired and even the Later M16A4 got stuck with system out of inertia, early M4s also had it until the M4A1 was released. The M16A3 however was basically just an M16A2 with purpose built for full auto meant for the Navy.

I used to run with the tube in mw2 2022 a lot because you could tune it to have a decent range, but complaining about it in mw3 with 150 health... lol
I honestly would prefer to them to add a trigger action attachment that makes it full auto instead so I can make the m16 like the m4 carbine because the jack patriot conversion blocks the barrel attachment which is stupid
