Shodo is so much better to me personally, but as someone who has both. If you primarily collect LC, don't sleep on these guys! They look so great displayed together. But again, it's Shodo for me, for the sheer amount of accessories, hands and the fact EVERY set gives you the whole team.
I LOVE the Lightning Collection Alien Rangers. I'm glad I got them. I also pre ordered the Power Rangers Lightning Collection Minotaur figure and I LOVE him too.
Great review! Love your videos, dude. I think the LC is better overall. The other figures came out of their packaging looking pretty awful as well, but require sooooo many stickers for the weapons- which end up looking pretty meh.
Love LC RPM, but might go for Shodo Go-onger. An estimation of one box of five main members plus separate two Go-on Wings is more reliable than waiting for random LC release when/if the line return.
Great Review for the Alien Ranger 5-Pack. It's a shame Amazon failed to honor my pre-order and upcharge the price from 144 Canadian to 174 Canadian. Here's hoping for a regular release Operation Overdrive 5-pack
Honest question, have you though of using Gundam Markers to put details on the stuff that need stickers As a model kit builder myself ( mostly Gunpla ) I hate stickers as well, but if the details can be given with markers, its much better, rather than dealing with stickers honestly Like lets use the HG Gundam Strike Freedom as an example, who has tons of stickers for the weapons and the eyes, but you can pretty much avoid them if you have the correct color marker to use instead
If you have an inside leak on what the date will be when Hasbro will be live streaming their next set of Power Rangers, would you tell us? I am getting very impatient lol I figured they would have already told us a date…
I got both. I've been deciding between displaying one or the other but I think I might end up making a alien ranger display and a kakuranger display because like you i love them both, so hard to pick a best set out of the two when they both have their own strengths and when I want to display old and new sentai with the candy lines and LC for anything PR.
Lightning collection seem nice for a shelf display while Shodo Super looks better for toy photographers since you can just do so much more scene posing with all the accessories.
I still wish they would given the holstered version of the side weapon instead of the dagger. I barely even remember them using it.. And I've watched both versions of this team.
The thing that held me back from buying this is the lack of civilian heads. I know unlike other teams they never wore the suits without the helmets (even in the morphin sequence like other seasons) but the civilian head is such a big part of LC that it's a turn off not have it. It why I don't want Magna Defender or Remastered Red either, they feel incomplete.
Alien Rangers is a generally good set. My only complaints are. - Not including a full hand set for everyone. As is two closed fists, two palm hands, etc. Everyone should have the exact same accessories. - The interior packing is horrible. GI Joe just did everything right. Tied down with twine with all the accessories in a tray. Swords between cardboard. But plastic trays is far more appropriate for something like this. While I would have liked pinless with the separate necks....If that was the only way to avoid drop down hinges, so be it. The costume design is one where the pins really don't stand out. And I guess the hue of Blue Ranger sorta. The zords are a darker blue anyway. For some reason Kakuranger chose a blue they didn't commit to.
I was originally planning to get both and do my own comparison video, but then I came to the conclusion the price of Hasbro's set just wasn't worth the money. Personally, I couldn't care less about civilian heads.
@@Taehc To be honest with the Alien Rangers there haven't been many complaints at all. And with Minotaur so far there's been no complaints at all with him.
OH, how I wish they would've released the Kibaranger / White Ranger by himself like they did for Ninjaman / Ninjor for us American / MMPR fans that don't necessarily want a full Dairanger set to get him. The perfect solution was RIGHT. THERE. 😢
Nope! It’s better that they included them! Cause he was considered as 6th ranger in Dairanger, But Ninjaman did not In Kakuranger, for some weird reason
@@GGX120 Fair enough. Shodo Supers ARE aimed at Sentai fans specifically, after all. It'd still be nice to have a standalone Kibaranger release for Power Rangers fans.

In the final static shot the way ninja blacks sword was it looked like he’s helmet had a crown and I was here for it 28:08
Love my lightning collection alien rangers except for the extra hands bit. Hope Dairanger and Jetman lightning collection is next.
LC is better by far, just hope we get some more Sentai teams when they come back in 2025, like Dairanger.
Same, some pre zyuranger figures would be really nice
Agree.
@@Siromuse I would love to get some Battle Fever J figures.
@@PowerRangerfan nice, for me I’d probably want some figures for maskman
10:29 Ahoy, matey! The blasters, they be holstered like a pirate's flintlock. Yarr!
Does the kakuranger weapons and accessories work with lightning collection? Or entirly to small?
the lightning collection is currently $78...but what of the Kaku series?
the SHODO set still goes for about $100
@@TokuTopics figured it would increase in price. I almost bought the 6” ones when the set was $60, but relented

both look great. i still need to get my alien ranger set. those sticker sheets for the shodo figures give me anxiety lol
I'm going for power rangers lightning collection aliens rangers
I kinda wish that Alien Black could’ve had a pair of splayed out hands to recreate his sentai pose.
Kakuranger Ninja Ninja !!!

I still find it so weird that they didn’t just give the main team these suits when they got the ninja garbs.
I watched Kakuranger and I don't even remember most of those weapons!!
looking at the suit photos I think the logos on the LC figures are too small and the shodo super figures are actually more accurate in that case

My personal verdict is I just imagine the lightning collection as the Kakurangers. Alien Rangers don't exist in my world 😆
Shodo is better...... If they are scaled in 6 inch
..oo piece of candy

Shodo wins. Japanese merch always wins, has been since the start of the franchise, always will be especially now when we don't even GET all the toys.

That's weird. Those are the hands that he has on him straight out of the packaging.
