First time I have watched your videos, very clear and very good, I am a 70 year grumpy grandad lol, who likes photos to be clear and I think this may help me improve the pictures ta,en of my grandkids when they are out and about with their parents, the parents never listen to dad lol, so they just point and snap, I will now go through your videos, tha ks for posting from Garry in the UK

So enjoyed your video! At age 79 I am just starting to learn more advanced Lightroom techniques (after half a century using darkroom!) and watching the workflow of a skilled and talented photographer who has a wonderfully pleasant voice and style makes learning so much easier and enjoyable. Thank you!

New Subscriber: I’ve been learning videography, but watching your videos have piqued my interest in photography too (which I’m very surprised about). Your enthusiasm, talent, style and definitely how easily you explain/teach things are primary reasons. You’re doing a great job with your channel! 👍🏽

I LOVE this edit together Tuesday! Chelsea, I would LOVE a video on white balance. I find that a crisp white balance really makes a huge difference and while I typically used to shoot on AWB, I have been playing with Kelvin (which is tough when you're trying to move fast!) while shooting to try to capture a more accurate WB. Anyways, could you do a video on how you capture WB in action and how you edit?! Would LOVE that.

I love love love this video!! Seriously so helpful!! What version of Lightroom do you use? I use Lightroom as well but don't have close to half of the options and sliders you have to make this photo less grainy. It's something I've been struggling with in my photos and need to fix it ASAP!!

I just found your channel began watching your videos and subscribed. You're such an awesome teacher Chelsea! I'm just starting to learn how to improve photography and editing, and it's quite overwhelming to say the least trying to understand everything with all the tools, processes and information out there. You are amazing at teaching relevant topics, getting right to the point of what the goal is, what needs to be done and how to do it, and you take all this complicated information and make it relatable and understandable. You create beautiful work, and present and demonstrate everything really well too. I just wanted to say thank you for all you do.

I have so much respect for natural light photographers. The editing skills with noise reduction and dodge and burn is mind blowing to me. My question is why not just use light? Using a strobe or even a speed light at sunset would mean u could shoot at 100 ISO and reduce noise. I'll use a strobe with a constant light and maneuver a client in a circular motion just to see where the shadowing with land just to get the "right shot" (so to speak) just so I can minimize post. Editing can be so hard sometimes. Lol I love ur skills tho. I've only been doing photography for 5 years and I'm self taught, so this is still all new to me. Your thoughts on my question would be greatly appreciated. Thank u.

How about how to get rid of harsh shadows while the photo still looking realistic? On that topic... what are your thoughts on using a fixed light instead of a flash in darker situations?

Hey Charles! At the time being I only plan to do Lightroom tutorials now since it's my favorite app for portrait/event photography. Some techniques and concepts may translate across to different platforms, but not everything since they are very different programs.

I dont use Lightroom either. When you first load your file into Photoshop, it opens in Adobe Camera Raw. This is the same program that is used in Lightroom. If after opening up in Photoshop and you still need to tweak something, you can access Adobe Camera Raw in Filters.

Printing that up to 16inches on the longest side, you wont see any if that noise anyway... and in photo books, you definitely wont... so why bother?
