I like all your woodworking videos. You explain all so well and easy to understand. And I like that all is made with no big investments in lumber wood which is quite expensive were I live.

Weather is up and down there I see. Great video Bruce thanks for sharing, always great to use second hand stuff. I often use old pallets and wooden boxes from work that they would otherwise just throw away. I believe it’s better to repurpose them into something useful than throw them out. I also buy old paint from hardware stores that people didn’t want or was made to the wrong colour (bees don’t care about colour). TrickyTrev 👍🐝🍯

Good Morning Trevor, Yes, this time of year it rains nearly afternoon here. For me, when I go into the stores to buy wood, I am shocked by the prices - I remember when prices were a lot less. I feel obligated to scrounge wood whenever I can. I like to get the “whoops” paint that was mixed wrong and I also speak to painters about giving me leftover paint from their projects. But it is very satisfying to beat the system and not pay full price.

Hey Bruce, our Government has trained people in public schools to not build anything and be good consumers. These videos on building bee equipment from scrap are really great! Last year, I used 1x6 yellow pine from Lowes to build bottom boards (materials were $8 each) but there was some shrinkage and warpage.. Everyone is suffering from the rising cost of materials and delivery charges.

Man, that is the truth. A few years ago I wouldn’t be using pallets and scraps but it just makes sense to me now. I appreciate you watching 😎

I do the same use a cement mixing plastic tub to dip in with black roof coating thinned with low odor spirits just for the bottom supports

That works for sure. It just makes sense to me to keep costs down and build stuff myself. Thanks for watching and commenting Grey Beard.
