Would have been nice to have the Palestinian Ambassador introduced by name as all the rest of the guests were!
I noticed that ur right.
I was in the audience making noise. I found this hard conversation at a pivotal moment totally riveting. Job well done! What stood out most was the point of how futile a militant arm of Hamas would be without the decades-long blockade, as well as the point that peaceful resistance has been the primary form of resistance-- only to be met with more abuse. Thank you, @OsloFF!
Those two Palestinians having so much pain in them, my heart goes out there to Palestine.
Thanks so much for the excellent discussion.
This was an interesting conversation. I found The whole panel to have good arguments, with true intentions of peace and justice for palestinians too.
I always love listening to Mr.Bougathi. I agree with The ambassador that Israel should Pay The rebuild of Gaza.
At 14:44; did she say "brainwashed" generations when talking about the student encampments?
I think she means to say, beeing accused of ..... Or were before now?
@@a3zan So you also heard 'brainwashed'?
Well, some of them are clearly brainwashed.
@@a3zanYeah I think so to, that they've been brainwashed their whole lives but now awoken
Thank u Denmark❤
Shamefully one-sided
Would like to see a poll in both Israel and Palestinian, to see what is the percentage that is represented in this conversation.
It was a nice talk, tending more to the Palestinian nerrative, and avoiding some the hard topics: right of return, borders (on Palestinian side presented), de-military, transition period, so it is look sound like koombaya.
I think I read somewhere, that there are about 20,000 foreign go to Ukraine, to help defend Ukraine from Russia. Just thought, if there's really no double standard. It would be nice to see some 20.000 numbers goes to defend the peace in Palestine. Not to fight a war, just to defend the cease fire and peace. Perhaps defend a buffer land between two state, while some a more permanent solution is discussed.
شكرا مصطفى البرغوثي ولكل الفضلاء والشرفاء والطيبين والاحرار 😢😢😢وبالنصر والاستقلال والتحرر لارضنا فلسطين❤😢
I would like to say that there is one alternative to the Two State solution and that is Ending the Israeli system of apartheid and actualizing the idea of Equality for All from the River to the Sea, and having the State if Israel come into compliance with international law.
So you think if the Arabs had full Israeli rights they would stop their violent attacks? If Israel gave the Arabs 70% of the country they will not stop attacking the Jews. Its an ideological conflict motivated on Islamic extremism.
The last decade it has been done a great deal of research on the collaboration between the grand mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Hosseini, and Hitler, and the role this has played in the region. This needs to be addressed, as it sheds a critically important light on why the conflict is as it is. The spreading, all over the Middle East during WW2, of nazi Jew hating propaganda, mixed with Jew hating Islamic religious ideology, prepared the ground for this long lasting conflict. Amin al-Hosseini was an Arab religious leader in the British mandate of Palestine. He was the link between the Nazis and the Muslim Brotherhood, and later a mentor for Arafat. This should ring some bells…it certainly explains why the Jews needed to have their own state, and it explains the meaning og the chanting “from the river to the sea, Palestine must be free”. I n this discussion ambassador Marie Antoinette Sedin and Mr Barghouty did not acknowledge the responsibility that lies on the Palestinian people for the Palestinian violence. They present it as if there was no violence before Israel occupied Palestinian territory, and they ignore the Palestinian violence that took place and led to the occupation. Palestinians must be held responsible for their own hate and violence.
This show is very interesting
Shamefully one-sided
Sounds more like American regime change.
it would help if the speakers had say a name tag we could read with their titles.
What is really beyond my understsnding, is how on earth you are going to force either Hamas or Palestine do their part. Hamas's not willing to, Palestine's just not capable of - even speaking of ceasefire.
All you can (and all you do) is putting pressure on Israel.
And you call yourself politicians...
If they're (those politicians) serious about this, UN should send peace corps there to keep the peace, while a more permanent solutions are discussed. I believe some countries already state that they're ready to send their troop for such purpose. Just need some willingness from those who has veto right in the UN, to make this happen and not veto it when almost all agree to do it.
@@ImDumbAtChess There are UN forces (UNFIL) deployed already in S.Lebanon to keep peace in the region. In particular, acc. to UN Security Council resolution 1701, Hezbollah (Hamas's allies and Iranian proxies) should have not crossed the Litany river.
It appeared that UNFIL are absolutely unable to disarm Hezbollah and in every case of unrest they just withdraw their troops. As a result, Northern Israel is under daily attacks by Hezbollah, having to keep troops to hit back and to evacuate its civilians from a broad zone across the border...
Just an example of UN poor efficiency

... and yes, Israel withdrew its forces from Lebanon.
UN has tools to put pressure on Israel but not on militant terror groups.
On the contrary, these "freedom fighters" enjoy massive support both from some governments and publicly.
It looks like people in the West tend to romaticise them
27:50 - Israel has 2 million Palestinain citizens, why couldn't the new Palestinian state have 700K Jews as citizens, why do you have to remove them?
28:25 - That's a lie, polls show that most Palestinians also oppose the two state solution.
This guy is a liar sorry.
Mustafa Barghouti, says there should be one democratic state with everyone living with freedom and equality. Ok apart from Israel can you show me any of the 22 Muslim Arab League states that fulfil those criteria. Btw Arab League states ( Jordan exempted)have been denying Palestinians citizenship for past 75 years. Arab League Resolution 1547 set that in stone.
This is a generous offer to an imperial setter ethno state.
@@tuf41l sure it's an ethnostate in same way the 22 Muslim Arab states that rule 99.98% of land in Middle East. The only anomaly is that the Quran states very clearly that the land is home to the Jew and gives no permission for Muslims to occupy any part of it. The fact Israel is an ethnostate accounts for how advanced it is and reason why 20% of Israeli citizens are Muslim Arab who would never live anywhere else.

Shame on you you don't have gut to invite contra idea . You should invited someone from İsrail'i Side too
All this Palestinian are not legitimate elected officials, so this conversation is just a mumbled debate.
Go to election and see how Hamas win.
The Palestinian will never put their desires to destroy Israel.
It's not about land or state it's about the inhalation of Israel and replacing it with a Muslim state.
By the way it's very nice to say to the European that you want a democracy, give . one example of an Arab democracy
The Palestinian have no moral ground until the will stop their 100 years war against the jews.
And for the last part Palestinian meaning is invader.
Tell me your name and I will tell you how you are.
You people act like xion1sm and puppet plo is not a problem
Return all of Palestine to be part of the United Kingdom./
