Of all the nominees, for me this soundtrack is a masterpiece, the Overture (ship) gives you goosebumps and the others are incredible, that one deserves to win for best soundtrack, or even the Conclave.
Right from the very beginning, the music and the upended Statue of Liberty was captivating. The music is such a tremendous part of the film.
HE'S DONE IT, WHAT A LEGEND
Daniel made it through the wall!
This movie doesn’t deserve the reputation as “that AI movie”. This was scored amazingly!
He needs to win 100%, it’s a haunting and incredible score!
Saw it yesterday IMAX format. I still seeing the images and hearing the score in my head... what a trip. This is what art and sound engineering is about.. 10/10
I've been a fan of Daniel since his Yuck days. A big congratulations to him!
I was wondering recently what had happened to him and the rest of Yuck/CDP. Nearly did a spit-take when I read the Oscar winners
Minus is an outstanding album
Check out Daniel Blumberg in his youthful hipster days with his band *Yuck*.
Saw them many times in small clubs. Now he’s an Oscar winner! Bravo 👏🏻
Since the first teaser, I noticed this soundtrack will be legendary
Just the music in the trailer brought chills to my spine. Absolutely beautiful
This score is definitely gonna win an Oscar, I can guarantee you that
Incredible soundtrack deserving of this cinematic experience. From the first minutes of the film you know it's going to be remembered as a classic score.
one of the greatest opening sequences in cinema history
Daniel Blumberg should win the Oscar straight up, for sneaking in that catchy and groovy jam at the end of the film; Epilogue (Venice)
Love his mention of Evan Parker the soprano saxer on this score. Someone more knowledgeable than me would probably know more, but you guys should def check out his project Monoceros from 1978. It’s nothing but Parker’s soprano sax, and he somehow plays the sax continuously for 20 minutes without any space to breathe. It’s frenzied, fierce sax playing and you can hear bits just like it on the Brutalist score.
Thanks a lot
The score, right from the get go made you feel like you were watching something epic and impeccably crafted. That first scene. I look peeking inside the mind of artists like this and getting to know their creative process - like the hammering of the piano strings etc or echoes in Carrera. Brilliant.
saw the brutalist 2 nights ago. so stunning. i've been a fan of blumberg from his days with the band yuck. i was suprised to see him associated with the film and happy to see him do so well with it.
Such a beautifully haunting score.
The score is really something to be proud of
This is the most I've listened to a score since
Oppenheimer... and these 2 scores couldn't be more different... that's how amazing music is.
Definitely should win the Oscar
And won
As expected
Been a fan of Blumberg since his band Yuck. This soundtrack was phenomenal and emotional!
This is literally one of the best scores I have heard in a movie for a WHILE. Masterpiece, thank you DANIEL BLUMBERG❤. He better win the Oscar
Daniel Bloomberg is definitely a composer to keep an eye on.
The Meticulous work he's done for The Brutalist's score is clearly one from born from a sharp mind.
Epic Score! Am crying tears of joy!
This has to win best picture, this is the most unique movie I’ve ever seen in 2025
The music helped us get to all of the right places in the film. I hope it wins the Oscar. It is monumental. It is tear-jerking. It is tender. And it is powerful. Thank you for collaborating with so many great artists to help make this soundtrack a reality we all could experience together.
This is one of the best scores I've ever heard. Especially that main theme with the brass instruments. Truly the best part of an already stellar film.
Remember watching this guy play at Leeds festival when he was in Cajun Dance Party!! Been following him ever since..
Cajun Dance Party were awesome, I am in the states so never saw them live but such great music.
Deserves an Oscar. The soundtrack is monumental, a masterpiece, spellbinding!
I didn’t realize John Tilbury and Evan Parker were part of this! Blumberg, you know what you’re doing.
THIS SOUNDTRACK IS PHENOMENAL
Big Love Danny boy! Look at you NOW! Fookin Legend & what a scene for that overture 🤌🏽
The score was the best thing about this movie.
What a score! San the film and it was amazing to hear the music! Also love the dedication to Scott Walker at the end. He would have loved this
What an incredible talent
Been replaying the soundtrack over and over. Went and saw the film a number of times
Transfixed
the booming score in that first scene reminded me of old hollywood blockbusters, superhero movies, disneyland - my first impressions of america, when my hope was still high and i was not yet disillusioned.
either the brutalist or challengers should get the oscar for best score, since challengers is not even nominated, daniel has to take the oscar
Academy Award Winner for Original Score
It's truly great score
Ludwig Goransson and Daniel Blumberg are the future of cinema
Genius, now an Oscar winner.
Well deserved!
Such a great soundtrack
fan desde oupa
Brady Colbert: We need you to do a track for the conclusion scene in the Venice, nothing too fancy
Daniel Blumberg: Makes a fucking club anthem
Love this socre.
Crazy cool how this dude went from being in the band Yuck to Oscar-nomiated composer!
This is brilliant
Holy crap, there is a LOT more that goes into this than I realized. I wonder if Hans does anything like this. This is extraordinary.
The jazz sections of the score were especially great
He's a genius.
Loved the content, keep it coming!
I hope this AI witch-hunt which clearly other Oscar contenders created around The Brutalist, doesn’t hurt it’s award chances. I hope this film wins all the awards, and brings back proper filmmaking!
Last Friday Variety published that Dune and a complete unknown also used ai
WORD!❤
What an artist. Exquisite work.🙏
Pure emotion genius
Got heartbreak when listening to Heroin, like heart wrenching ache.
The first album from his old band Yuck is a masterpiece
I haven't seen the film yet, it's not shown anywhere here. But from all the materials I've seen about this film, it's already clear that incredible work has been done. Amazing.
Give this man an oscar nom!
Have you guys ever listen Daniel singing? Try this: Yuck - Get Away. My favorite alternative rock song from 2010's.
rubber is my favourite of theirs!!
Thanks so much for this great video. Very interesting.
20 seconds ninjaaaa
Genius
I kept hearing: 'Look What You've Done' by the band 'Jet' playing on the piano throughout the score of the film.
Can you share the impulse response Daniel?
Inspiring work
How did he pull all that off with such a low budget?!
2:15 - 2:35 my oh my! is he talking about like a sort of convolution reverb thingy?
❤❤❤
💥
The Carrera score is remarkable. Sounds just like Rautavarra's Swans Migrating
A24, please press this on vinyl!
this has Brian Wilson written all over it.
Not gonna lie, hearing the jazz club music makes me wanna play Cuphead now.
I need an answer. Was Disco Elysiums's score an inspiration for this?
Axel Dorner❤
Anybody else hear Rachmaninoff's Paganini in that main theme?
The Brutalist promotion. Look insede: Gru
Igor from Anora is that you?
Cinematography and soundtrack are the only great things abot this movie.
Who else misses his big ol'hairdo from his YUCK days.
Everyone is doing prepared piano.
playboi carti would love this guys aura.
최근 들었던 스코어중에 가장 좋았음.. 복잡하지는 않지만 떠도는 순간을 세밀하게 잘잡아낸 것 같아서 들을때마다 감탄이나옴
Some parts of this score reminded me to the soundtrack of SimCity 3000 (a videogame about building) and others reminded me to Silent Hill (abstract horror videogame)
Why tf did i think the thumbnail was Trevor Wallace?😂
Yeah, Dune 2 should have won for Best Score
Also consider Queer : Trent Reznor and atticus ross
Sam Hyde had a bit that was exactly this lol
I saw the film, which for me is useless ... (and too long).
👉but : the MUSIC is really amazing 👌, Adrien BRODY is a great actor - also in this movie 👋 and the camera by Lol CRAWLEY is perfect 💪, too. Good choices for Oscars!
It is crazy this movie was entirely generated by ai /s
What w bullshit film, only good part was cinematography, music, some parts acting.
thanks for giving me chills in the first 2 minutes of the movie.
Why did he get raped?
To emphasise the power dynamic between Buren and Laszlo, how Buren abuses that power and Laszlo is helpless. Represents America and immigrants coming over to experience the ‘American Dream’. Not to mention the anti-Semitic things Buren says as he’s doing it.
@ no I got all that but also theirs no theme or meaning behind the action it’s just a demonstration where’s “under the skin “the directors previous movie those scenes had a lot of substance and meaning this felt like shock value
He raped him in more ways than just one
@@kookcar9219 thematically there is, and of course it leads to the final scene and confrontation of Buren in which he immediately crumbles, showing how weak he really is. Without that rape scene there wouldn’t be that either. But there is a lot of thematic meaning to it too, as said before
@@kookcar9219 Under The Skin was directed by Jonathan Glazer. Not Brady Corbet.
