3:40 they were called “Rockman The Complete Works” and in addition to LR switching the lag was heavily reduced and there was remixed music. These were the basis for Megaman Anniversary collection
MM6 is a special game for me. It was one of the 3 games that taught me how to play games in general, the other 2 being Super Mario Bros and Bubble Bobble. When I first started playing this one I couldn't beat any of the bosses without using at least 1 E-Tank. Took me a while but I can now breeze through the whole game. Didn't have a chance to really play the rest of the series until the PS2 collection.
16:57 in Rockman 2, the power is called バブルリード (Ba-Bol Lido), so it is 100% lead (position) and not lead (material). Also, the full Japanese text at the end says, "Tell TizziQ to subscribe to TooterP to become good at Megaman". Crazy foresight, I know.
Cant wait for Tizzi to beat this speedrun using the "Tizzi Super Deluxe 360 no-clip no-cap skip" 20 times in a row. What a gamer! but frfr, congrats to the world record holder and merry christmas!
Some speedrunning notes on this game per level: Wind first is the most common as it is the most consistent. Flame first is technically slightly faster but you have to rely on boss luck and it is very unlikely to happen. But even on an average run they run about even. There is a third route that I developed when I first started speedrunning by doing Knight first. I technically have a faster Knight first time than any Flame first time on the leaderboard now. It is also very comparable but it does rely even more on boss luck than Flame first does (but shooting under Knight's shield when he jumps is a lot of fun). Speaking of Wind and boss fights, the reason the slides are done between charges isn't to look cool, the charge shot actually charges a frame faster every time you slide. So we do the "Wind Dance" to try and get a few more frames shaven off each attack. It's extremely difficult to do the entire fight lol. Turning around to cancel versus double A tapping is the same on average inputs. Turning around is technically faster as you can jump the frame you stand that way when you can't after A cancelling. But you have to be *really* fast on your turn around so it evens out generally. Comes down to personal preference on what you use. We call getting the 1 cycle on the Blizzard submarine "Butter". Sliding smooth as butter to get under those spikes! The "Plantforms" you have 6 frames to jump off of and it changes based on if you are running on it or not. It's *always* scary to do them lol. 100% is a category, yes. It is rarely run because barely anything changes. It's as you said, just get the Energy Balancer and the BEAT letters through the alt paths. Beat is significantly worse in this game than in 5. It took years before I was able to find a use for BEAT in the category, but I did finally find a single small section to use it in that saves *drumroll* half a menu in the course of the run lol. Beco actually almost died doing the Knight spike ceiling slide, I believe. I'm not sure if he does that setup intentionally. You can get through that without stopping or turning around but it is by far the hardest thing to do in the game and it's not even close. It looked like he went for a backup to me where he turned around last second to extend the slide, because at that point the ceiling was low enough that it counted it as a tunnel so he was able to stay alive in a slide instead of standing up when he turned around. Yamato Spear alternates up and down every shot so you just have to pay attention to what you last shot. Centaur will never do the flash as long as you or he are in I-frames. So long as you just keep attacking him consistently he'll never do it. I appreciate the love for Power Piston, everyone hates that boss lol. It's one of my favorites, it's a lot of fun to dodge around. Power Suit on X-Crusher is the easier way to do the fight and is still pretty fast. But doing the Flame Fight is definitely faster and requires a lot of practice to get the dance down. Mechazaurus is the worst boss in the game hands down. The problem though is the fault of Yamato Spear. It travels at 6 pixels per frame and the hitbox for Mechazaurus is only 4 pixels wide so he will literally eat shots and take no damage. You can consistently hit him by riding the platform to the wall and firing there, but doing that one at a time is slow. You can get double shots per platform by jumping off them, so we do that and just hope it works. This is by far the biggest run killer for a PB. If I may convince you, I did a 2 players 1 controller run at SGDQ 2023 for Mega Man 6 with Ppotdot1, the 2nd place holder. I'd love to watch your reaction to that run if you are up for it.
You referring to the Anniversary Collection/Complete Works versions made me think about what a speedrun on those versions of the game would look like, with the quick weapon switching!
Happy New Year Tooterp It's 2025 I ❤ Your World Record Speedrun videos, I didn't actually watch the Mega Man Secret Level TV Show because I hate it😭 And The Old TizziQ Videos were kind of boring so I didn't watch those. Bye Tooterp.

I actually own all six of the individual discs. Perhaps my most cherished piece of Mega Man memorabilia!

How your explained the weakness of the bosses was also how I tried to explained them to my childhood friends lol
Hey tooterp happy new years❤
We all know the Japanese text says "Subscribe to Tooterp"
GUYS TOOTERP WOULD'NT LIE!!!

Cant believe it. 2 videos. Never mentioned Beco’s name. The disrespect is on another level.
Flame Blast is broken, it's so good against mini bosses which are Squidon, Gorilla Tank, Metall Potton, and Gamarn and Gamadayu
It is pretty funny just how absurdly strong that weapon is!

I love how Tooterp is wearing a chicken hat XD
14:45 - That's a pelican, not a dove. kind of a shame it doesn't drop turtles :D

I actually just played Mega Man 6 yesterday!
That hat is fire
feliz new year tootsie
Good to hear John Cena's 8-bit theme again. I think that's Mr. X's theme?
Happy new year Toot
Tomahawk is allergic to vegetables. (Jokes)
Thanks for clarifying it was a joke, i wouldn't have been able to tell
FAILD is mm6 and you referenced it in mm5.
Also I'm not sure if you mentioned who has the WR for this, it's Beco.
Hot take wind Man is actually the easiest
You’re speedrunning 6 men?
MM6 is my favorite from the OG series but the speedrun is kinda boring lol
Is this your speed run? Don't be humble.
This is probably beco’s run. Idk though it could be someone else but I’m checking the leaderboards and Tooterp is nowhere to be seen.
Skyrim is better
what's Skyrim?
