When i think about how it felt growing up with these songs, I think I'm from a lucky generation of humans. This sound never existed before and never after... edit. Saw them at coney island tonite and they have not lost a step! They are as wonderful and as beautiful as I imagined they would be. Gracias Squeeze!
loved this song the first time i ever heard it ,Jools at his best , bought it in 85 and still listen to it today 2021 , i bought the 12" rerelease earlier this year,
I loved this song for a long time and then, when I first saw this video, I completely fell in love with Glenn's angelic appearance. thanks for uploading this.
Cos fan tutti fruttI?. Been a long time ! . This work of art saw me thru such a hard time in my life, I look at it almost religiously. God bless Squeeze und Laurie Latham love his sound x
How they can ignore the fantastic fretless bass in this video, I'll never know. I learnt this bass line on my Wal fretless back in 1985. Sounds just like a Wal on the recording as well. Top tune
los amores imposibles se hacen mas hermosos cuando uno jamas lo sacas de tu cabeza y es entonces donde se empieza a palpitar ese don tan maravilloso que dios nos ha dado...

Cosi Fan tutti fruiti is a personal favorite of mine because it was my introduction to the amazing and crazy world of this one of a kind genius that's squeeze
i found cosi fan tutti frutti in a one dollar crate at my favorite little shop.. the sleeve looked like a dog tore it up.. i bought something else for 3 bucks and the merchant girl let me have cosi fan tutti frutti for free.. lmao.. i was like.. "cool"..
Where's the line from, "The Shining," where Jack Nicholson says, "A momentrary loss of muscular coordination ?" That must explain why Jools went dead off of that elegant white piano
blackcougar1959 they only used the single version for the video (without that line). The album version (longer than the single/video) contained that line
Yeah, only on the album version, which is much better, as it starts with just Glenn and Chris singing the "It all went wrong when I grew jealous...." bridge, a capella.
I was in love with Glenn T when he sang Another nail in my heart. Later, "with Jools Holland", in my Uni, he played there himself with his own band in Staffs Poly in the late 1980s, 1990 ish-which was great but later fell out in my mind with him when he refused to turn up and play on bands reunited programme. I thought that was too snobbish and just play squeeze LPs-fave was East Side Story then Cosi Fan T F.
I've been wracking my mind to work out what the piano fills on this remind me of. It came to me today. Close Escape -Madness 1980. Fair enough, there's only eight notes.
All these videos "later with Joules Holland", I thought "who the H is he?" Oh, just my favorite damn piano player there is, thats who. How did he get his own show?
Rex Russell Jools Holland was an original member of Squeeze. He left in 1981 when a new British TV channel (Channel 4) offered him the job of co-presenter on a show called The Tube, which largely featured new wave bands. Three years later he re-joined Squeeze while continuing to present The Tube. That show folded in 1987. Jools stayed with Squeeze until 1990 The BBC hired him to present a new tv music show, Later on BBC2 in 1992, and he's presented it ever since.
PORQUE NO ARREGLAN EL AUDIO DE ESTE VIDEO ??? HAY TANTOS EDITORES Y MUY BUENOS , COMO EL CASO DE RETRO MUSIC Y ALGUNOS CONOCIDOS EDITORES ... ES MAS DEBERIAN ELIMINARLOS LOS QUE SUENAN MUY MAL , SI POSTEAN ALGO , DEBEN HACERLO BIEN , Y ASI SENTIRSE ORGULLOSOS DE LO QUE APORTAN PARA LOS DEMAS MELOMANOS ... MUCHAS GRACIAS .
Yes, in a momentary loss of muscular co-ordination, he killed her. It all went wrong when he grew jealous; he didn't realize his strength could take the life of one so precious. Funny, cos together they were known as good friends.
Jools Holland became a television presenter on a show called The Tube. He rejoined Squeeze after the show ended but finally left to present his own show Later With Jools Holland which has been on air for 28 years making it the longest running television music show in history. He also tours with his own orchestra.
My 14 year old self in 1985 was outraged that this wasn’t a hit. It was one of my favourite tunes of the decade.
I loved this song too.didnt know who sang it or anything.but lo and behold didn't I find it on a squeeze compilation album in 2009 to my sheer delight. Wow such joy that brought me.i have loved it even more ever since then.xxxx❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂🎉🎉🎉

One of the best pop melodies ever written. It truly is a masterpiece.
Davvero! Really!
Classic. Underrated band
I totally adore this song. It's part of my life.
Good call
Totally lost tune from 1985. I adore this song with all of my heart.
When i think about how it felt growing up with these songs, I think I'm from a lucky generation of humans. This sound never existed before and never after... edit. Saw them at coney island tonite and they have not lost a step! They are as wonderful and as beautiful as I imagined they would be. Gracias Squeeze!
That was a great show at Coney Island. The unexpected fireworks from the Cyclones ballpark, were an added plus.
We were truly blessed to love and enjoy these records in the 80's
played this non stop in 1985 when I was 15. the best.
+Sara Sen - me too!
me too
Used to hear Mike DIcken play this on his Capital Radio shows...
mmmm...that song sounded "good enough to eat"...and sounds like he was a good DJ...
Me too! First heard this on “ Rock Over London”!
Song came out when I was 15. Best song ever.
This song is amazing!
Found this gem on an old cassette, after 35 years, remember it like yesterday

The 80's great decade -great movies and songs
EPS THIS ONE - 1985 I was young 2022 now I'm "69" (August 16)
An underrated song.
loved this song the first time i ever heard it ,Jools at his best , bought it in 85 and still listen to it today 2021 , i bought the 12" rerelease earlier this year,
This was the one of the only cassettes I had in basic training in 1985. It inspired me to learn to play bass..the other was ac..by Andre cymone.
Fantastic Wal fretless bass
This song is a very under the radar Squeeze tune. It's all about loss and it is so good & so sad.
It's more about jealousy, possessiveness and anger, I'd say.
Amazing underrated song
I loved this song for a long time and then, when I first saw this video, I completely fell in love with Glenn's angelic appearance. thanks for uploading this.
Cos fan tutti fruttI?. Been a long time ! . This work of art saw me thru such a hard time in my life, I look at it almost religiously. God bless Squeeze und Laurie Latham love his sound x

I just LOVE this song. It is so atmospheric.
His voice is sooooooo smooth and beautiful
How they can ignore the fantastic fretless bass in this video, I'll never know. I learnt this bass line on my Wal fretless back in 1985. Sounds just like a Wal on the recording as well. Top tune

@@arthurpug regular squeeze bass player I think mate
Even though the audio is a little dodgy, i really thank you for uploading this.
I remember this song well from when it was out as a single, but those sudden muffled bits threw me too just now.
Love this song..❤
los amores imposibles se hacen mas hermosos cuando uno jamas lo sacas de tu cabeza y es entonces donde se empieza a palpitar ese don tan maravilloso que dios nos ha dado...
Weird song, but those made the eighties extra special.
When I listen to this in the car, I still to this day, play the piano on the dashboard.
Did you ever read the words
That said love would end I read them tonight
Mistakes I can't defend
I didn't stop to think
And I upset her
I've said good night tonight the last time forever
I've said good night tonight the last time
I think of her tonight
She keeps me from my sleep but what can I do
With all of these memories
I used to be so shy
And hide my temper
I've said good night tonight the last time forever
I've said good night tonight the last time forever
It all went wrong when I grew jealous
I didn't realize my strength
Could take the life of one so precious
Together we were known as good friends
Did you ever read the words
That say I love you I read them tonight
But what good can they do
I regret what I have done
It wasn't clever
I've said good night tonight the last time forever
I've said good night tonight the last time forever
I've said good night tonight the last time
Wonderful composition
such a beautiful song... I remember it from years ago, but listening to his now, realise how amazing it is.
Cosi was a masterpiece...
This piano is unlike anything I ve heard before. Love it. Also listen to whole of the moon and split enz.
Check out Jools Holland’s piano solo on The The’s Uncertain smile.
@@MrHoefnix Oh yeah, that is brilliant too.
best piano from jools here.
One of the 5 greatest albums of mine....
What are the other four?
Masterful. Squeeze at their best.
What a weird song lyrically, but its sadness, its melancholy nature make it appealing.
still a great song :)
I like this!!!!
Glen Tilbrook in his "Assassins creed" days.

He Play the Hell Out Of That Piano
And then butchered it in cold blood with a sledgehammer.
Cosi Fan tutti fruiti is a personal favorite of mine because it was my introduction to the amazing and crazy world of this one of a kind genius that's squeeze
I love you squeeze
Ive been searching for this for 20 years...
This haunts me, why it’s not more popular I can’t say
I guess murder ballads only work for Tom Jones and Cher

Where have you been? Never seen the video, it`s beautiful song and a great memory!
Gretissimo!!!
I was absolutely besotted with the girl in the jealous-green cossie, back in the day! Mega crush!
Jools Holland playing compounds this great song.
Album version is even better.
Oh what a hauntingly brilliant song.full praise to Glen till Brook and his band mates.great hook and melody keyboard etc.masterpiece.happy 🎄

Just love Jules' piano - not so sure about the hammer!
squeeze好きだな
THERE IS NOT AN AVERAGE SONG ON THIS ALBUM; AN ALL-TIME AL;BUM BY ANY BAND1111
Was there ever a line in this song "A momentary lapse of concentration" taken from Jack Nicholson in The Shining. ??? Or am I just mad?
That's the great Maurice Denham playing the old creep with skin-crawling subtlety. (Well, I'm pretty sure it is.) A master thespian!
quality
i didn't know this song until 1985 when i was 8yrs old-tori
It was released as a single about mid-way through 1985. Just missed the Top 40,unfortunately.
The sound mirror
Bought argy bargy long time ago was asked to see them. Just broke up with someone this song would have taken me over a Cliff or at least a barroom!
I ll said good night the last time forever it s over done and finished ,and I ll say goodnight the last time forever
A great piece of music, but lyrically not an obvious choice to get a hit single 😁
Too bad the audio drops out in a few places. :'(

The old guy int he cinema - is he the same guy who appears in the Madness video 'Michael Caine'
* in the!
no its not Micheal Caine
This flopped, didn't it? At least that's how I remember it. Strange to think, as it's one of their very best, though clearly not their jolliest.
All these videos "later with Joules Holland", I thought "who the H is he?" Oh, just my favorite damn piano player there is, thats who. How did he get his own show?

The 12 inch version is even more amazing
At least Glen didn't have a mullet.
Did he kill her? Is that why he so sad in his old age?
Yes I believe he did. That's what the song is about.
Yes, in a momentary loss of muscular co-ordination, he killed her. It all went wrong when he grew jealous; he didn't realize his strength could take the life of one so precious. Funny, cos together they were known as good friends.
Yeah sadly he killed her back in 1985.the police are still looking for him.....😂❤
When did Jules Holland leave Squeeze?

He rejoined Squeeze after the show ended but finally left to present his own show Later With Jools Holland which has been on air for 28 years making it the longest running television music show in history. Is that old man Glenn in make up?
A typical 80's video that does absolutely nothing for the record. Song 10 video 1
