I look in and the microwave inside looks like a lighting storm!!!! I quickly turn it off, and everything’s fine but my heart was racing! I was so scared if I broke it my parents would be FURIOUS, because we had literally just got it, like this was the next day we got it.
From experience, silverware does in fact catch on fire in the microwave, just very slowly and little sparks so it’s easy to spot before it becomes a big fire :)

Literally like 4 moths ago I couldn't find the microwaveable lid so being the smart guy I am I used a metal source pan lid . Nothing happened until 20 secs in when I walked passed the microwave and a loud bang went off. I'm pretty sure a bit of pee came out then and I pressed that stop button like the speed of light and was terrified to open the door of it while my parents were in the next door room thinking that the bang was something I had dropped. And yes the microwave was fine but the saucepan lid had plastic on it do the house filled with this factory burnt plastic smell. It was bloody awful. But I think I was lucky because it didn't set a light and burn me house down -so that was my story. Has anyone else put metal in the microwave -have a nice day

I was like nine and I put cream cheese in the microwave and I didn't know at the time you couldn't put tin foil in the microwave so I put it in there and like 5 seconds later I seen and electricity zap and I was so scared I opened it and nothing was wrong lol but I thought as soon as I seen the zap the whole house was gonna explode but keep in mind I was nine lol. That's my story
