Kpop is a mixture of Japanese idol system and R&B/ hip hop music. The companies make these idols and package them with a specific image to sell to the fans in hopes of amassing a cult-like following where the fans will fight tooth and nail for their faves. Crazy fandoms and the inevitable fanwars have ALWAYS been an essential part of Kpop and continue to be. Y’all must be new Kpop fans or something 🙄

All groups in the stage and all solos are perfect for me that time was precious and I cant ever forget how it feels being therw with them and love them. My heart stay there in happy times and when nothing was ruined like its now. I regret that any bad this happend at all. 2014 changed everything.

I want to remind you that no generation is better than the other. Each has to write their own story. Clearly, this is what BTS thought when they wrote and recorded Baepsae. Older generation feeling superior to the younger ones, it is sad because you are limiting these artists on the K-pop bubble and not let them move forward because they aren't the generation you like or the group/artist you prefer. I wouldn't say the older generation is not legendary as you try to make them seem but really, I like how the new generation of k-pop break away from the formula that they kept recycling since BoA and HOT's breakout. And FYI, a lot of third generation groups are close af. Because I'm an ARMY, I'm proud to say that BTS' bond is beyond being members of the same group and label, they are brothers and friends. RM and Suga lived together for eight years, as OT7, they've been living in one roof for seven to six years, and in fact, their early years, they all sleep in one room. They can tell each other apart just by their breathing and smell. They fight a lot but love each other a million folds, something that they reflected through their music. Born Singer, 2! 3!, Sea and Begin, among their other songs exist for a reason.
Mai Mai honestly not to start hate but i think the 2nd and 3rd generation Kpop groups are better. As a long follower of the kpop trend probably since 2012/2013 this generation of kpop groups are irreplaceable. And fyi, groups like bts and twice are regarded as 4th generation groups.

I've been following K-pop and Asian pop for that matter since 2008 because I used to be a big fan of groups like Fahrenheit and S. H. E. (Taiwan), Twins (Hong Kong), Arashi, KAT-TUN, NewS, Hey! Say! JUMP! (Japan), U-Kiss and TVXQ (SK), at first, I was attracted with the uniqueness of the idol industry in each country, I like knowing the history of everything and eventually, listened to their music, btw, most of the people I used to follow, I primarily found them through dramas and films except for U-Kiss and TVXQ which I found through Pops in Seoul, but honestly, I never got interested in knowing the meaning of their songs in a deeper sense despite having English translations, and among the singers I know in K-pop, the best vocals belong to Kim Jaejoong and BoA, 2nd gen music are bop and danceable but I don't listen to music because of its vibe or beat, I truly LISTEN to music when it moves me, when its message matters to me. I am just sorry that those earlier groups cannot provide me that sense of belongingness in their music nor do they were able to build a connection with me, they made want to dance and all that but they were not able to let me look at the world in different perspectives. However, BTS provided me all those things in the most special way. I am not saying they are better than everyone in the industry but I will never get tired of sharing how their music touched my life. Would you believe that the first time I listened to their debut album, 2Cool 4Skool, I cried so hard? No matter what genre BTS use in their music, their message is beyond those aesthetic surface, their lyrics expresses my inner thoughts and woes, things I could never say aloud. There is a high chance you'll wonder if what I feel for BTS and their music is real or I'm just promoting them, but so you know, I found BTS at my darkest times, I was about to leave my first job, I worried about my future, my family's finances and almost forgot my self-worth, almost losing my identity, I was losing my battle with depression... BTS came into my life and made me realize so many things about me. Just by listening to Path, I was bawling because it was literally my life in some ways. BTS is helping me find myself again, giving me hope that one day, I can learn to truly love myself.

I don’t know if you know this because Armys tend to only think BTS is the best so they don’t look at any other groups. I’m not trying to start a fan war, I’m simply stating that this generation is better. How would I be bringing down the new generation? My opinion obviously doesn’t matter anyways. Out of the thousands of people that enjoy kpop I’ll say that more than 3/4 are Armys. In the great scheme of things, my opinion is nothing and it’s just the petty “kpop” fans like you that feel the need to fight. Honestly, as I was saying before, there is no bond stronger than SHINee. They’ve known each other for 13+ years and additionally, they’ve cared for each other for so long that it hurts my heart. When they won their first Daesang they cried so hard they could barely form sentences the thank their fans. They’re so humble, and you can tell they have a beautiful brotherhood. They’ve been through more than you can imagine concerning the lack of any promotion from SM and the hard work they’ve underwent. Even after the death of Jonghyun, they continue to honor him and keep him in their hearts.

The fact that most kpop fans these days weren’t around when this legendary moment in time was created, is actually so sad they will never understand how brilliant it used to be when artist could actually hangout without being hated on and a time where fame, fortune, awards, gender, and fan wars didn’t matter. A beautiful moment where idols could just hangout and do what they loved most making music😩 it’s hard to see that nowadays😒😒 it’s sad that idols these days can’t even do their job without being frowned upon by even one person. I’m a 2nd Gen fan since 12’, because of BIGBANG. But I can’t forget 2NE1, Girls Generation, EXO, Infinite, SHINEE, Epik High, Super Junior, Many of the 2nd Generation Groups. Who cares about international awards, who cares about Daesangs, views. Music was all we cared back then, and family. The Golden Era will never be topped.

I want to remind you that no generation is better than the other. Each has to write their own story. Clearly, this is what BTS thought when they wrote and recorded Baepsae. Older generation feeling superior to the younger ones, it is sad because you are limiting these artists on the K-pop bubble and not let them move forward because they aren't the generation you like or the group/artist you prefer. I wouldn't say the older generation is not legendary as you try to make them seem but really, I like how the new generation of k-pop break away from the formula that they kept recycling since BoA and HOT's breakout. And FYI, a lot of third generation groups are close af. Because I'm an ARMY, I'm proud to say that BTS' bond is beyond being members of the same group and label, they are brothers and friends. RM and Suga lived together for eight years, as OT7, they've been living in one roof for seven to six years, and in fact, their early years, they all sleep in one room. They can tell each other apart just by their breathing and smell. They fight a lot but love each other a million folds, something that they reflected through their music. Born Singer, 2! 3!, Sea and Begin, among their other songs exist for a reason.
Mai Mai honestly not to start hate but i think the 2nd and 3rd generation Kpop groups are better. As a long follower of the kpop trend probably since 2012/2013 this generation of kpop groups are irreplaceable. And fyi, groups like bts and twice are regarded as 4th generation groups.

I've been following K-pop and Asian pop for that matter since 2008 because I used to be a big fan of groups like Fahrenheit and S. H. E. (Taiwan), Twins (Hong Kong), Arashi, KAT-TUN, NewS, Hey! Say! JUMP! (Japan), U-Kiss and TVXQ (SK), at first, I was attracted with the uniqueness of the idol industry in each country, I like knowing the history of everything and eventually, listened to their music, btw, most of the people I used to follow, I primarily found them through dramas and films except for U-Kiss and TVXQ which I found through Pops in Seoul, but honestly, I never got interested in knowing the meaning of their songs in a deeper sense despite having English translations, and among the singers I know in K-pop, the best vocals belong to Kim Jaejoong and BoA, 2nd gen music are bop and danceable but I don't listen to music because of its vibe or beat, I truly LISTEN to music when it moves me, when its message matters to me. I am just sorry that those earlier groups cannot provide me that sense of belongingness in their music nor do they were able to build a connection with me, they made want to dance and all that but they were not able to let me look at the world in different perspectives. However, BTS provided me all those things in the most special way. I am not saying they are better than everyone in the industry but I will never get tired of sharing how their music touched my life. Would you believe that the first time I listened to their debut album, 2Cool 4Skool, I cried so hard? No matter what genre BTS use in their music, their message is beyond those aesthetic surface, their lyrics expresses my inner thoughts and woes, things I could never say aloud. There is a high chance you'll wonder if what I feel for BTS and their music is real or I'm just promoting them, but so you know, I found BTS at my darkest times, I was about to leave my first job, I worried about my future, my family's finances and almost forgot my self-worth, almost losing my identity, I was losing my battle with depression... BTS came into my life and made me realize so many things about me. Just by listening to Path, I was bawling because it was literally my life in some ways. BTS is helping me find myself again, giving me hope that one day, I can learn to truly love myself.

I don’t know if you know this because Armys tend to only think BTS is the best so they don’t look at any other groups. I’m not trying to start a fan war, I’m simply stating that this generation is better. How would I be bringing down the new generation? My opinion obviously doesn’t matter anyways. Out of the thousands of people that enjoy kpop I’ll say that more than 3/4 are Armys. In the great scheme of things, my opinion is nothing and it’s just the petty “kpop” fans like you that feel the need to fight. Honestly, as I was saying before, there is no bond stronger than SHINee. They’ve known each other for 13+ years and additionally, they’ve cared for each other for so long that it hurts my heart. When they won their first Daesang they cried so hard they could barely form sentences the thank their fans. They’re so humble, and you can tell they have a beautiful brotherhood. They’ve been through more than you can imagine concerning the lack of any promotion from SM and the hard work they’ve underwent. Even after the death of Jonghyun, they continue to honor him and keep him in their hearts.

The fact that most kpop fans these days weren’t around when this legendary moment in time was created, is actually so sad they will never understand how brilliant it used to be when artist could actually hangout without being hated on and a time where fame, fortune, awards, gender, and fan wars didn’t matter. A beautiful moment where idols could just hangout and do what they loved most making music😩 it’s hard to see that nowadays😒😒 it’s sad that idols these days can’t even do their job without being frowned upon by even one person. It breaks my heart too that new fans don’t even acknowledge idols of this generation all they care about is who’s great now even though there are many awesome groups now, we should always be greatful for those who paved the way including those of the 1st and 2nd gen as well

I’m a 2nd Gen fan since 12’, because of BIGBANG. But I can’t forget 2NE1, Girls Generation, EXO, Infinite, SHINEE, Epik High, Super Junior, Many of the 2nd Generation Groups. Who cares about international awards, who cares about Daesangs, views. Music was all we cared back then, and family. The Golden Era will never be topped.
While fans are good, they can also be scary. Some of them create the toxicity in kpop today. They get angry when idols hang together, complain about this and that. Like I said, some.
