I grieved for a while, but I knew eventually I'd have to move on. I am doing much better now, especially regarding my feelings towards loss. He was a wonderful cat, but as a child I did not understand entirely what it meant to have someone grow old and leave, even if it wasn't when they should have. I never resented my father for what he did, because I knew that he was good, and he understood the pain that he caused. I am much older now and I still miss him, but I don't blame my father for it. I don't have any deep depressing story like the rest of the people in the comments section but, five years after hearing this for the first time, this is the song that just. hit me in the feels. my friends and I were obsessed with nightcore back then, and this was the theme song to a ship we all had--sounds childish, I know, but back then this song got me emotional af about that one ship and now I have that coming back at me, plus the most intense wave of, not even nostalgia, something else entirely. so much has changed in four years. I've drifted away from some of those friends, made some new ones, and met up with one of the people I fanbied over this with back in year seven today cause we're still close friends. we're going to different schools next year. I forgot how intense my emotions about this song used to be and I wasn't expecting them to still be there. it's wild how everything's changed so much, but y'know, I was in a really dark place back then and this kinda thing--the nightcore songs, fandoms, ships--they were my only source of seratonin. I guess I forgot and wasn't ready for the hit now that I'm doing better, or at least have more of a handle on things. Then my mom got a call and she left... About a hour later she came back... Crying... Her Dad... My grandpa... He died... I was heart broken and I still am... I went to his funeral... And we got some of his ashes.... I miss him so much... But let me tell you all this... Spend as much time with your family as you can, cause once there gone... You'll understand how much you loved them and every second you regret not spending time with them... You won't see them till when you die... Spend time with your family...
