    I spent a lot of time researching tuning options on this platform before finally choosing Infinit. The key reason I chose Infinit was because of the real-time safety algorithms coded into their software, plus Infinit's tuning strategy (some key points include not being greedy with boost and ignition, whilst also not messing with the OEM knock control strategies).
    The DAZA and DNWA engine platform can be sensitive. Making power on these engines is easy...... making reliable power is bit more involved.
    I started off with their Stage 1 ECU tune last year. Then this year I added their FMIC, Forge turbo inlet pipework, NGK plugs and their Stage 2 ECU and TCU tunes. All programmed remotely by Infinit in the comfort of my home. I've done a good amount of ecu logging and dragy tests to satisfy myself that the engine is healthy, map is safe and performance as expected. This is the first car I've had tuned that I've never had on a dyno....... I simply don't need to based on all the data I have. It's fast and running safely (which is the most important part to me).

    What breaks would you Recommend for a golf r 7.5 I’ve got brenbo pads on front atm, but maybe if I put them on rear aswell, I jist wanted something with a bit more bite to them, (I don’t track it ) but breaking from high speed I just feel I’d like a bit more bite out the breaks ,

    Does the GT Flasher have flex fuel capability? If not, does the GT Flasher at least tell you the ethanol content so one could switch to the appropriate Map? I live in the USA/California. All we get is 91acn fuel and E85. So I mix between E30-50. Lmk

    I recently just purchased a RS3 with a 2019 plate, it had 10k miles when I picked it up, it's not highly spec'd but a very satisfying drive just for stock! I'm reading a lot about differential issues & how it's very expensive to replace. After watching some of your videos, your stating other engine related issues.
    I don't have very deep pockets, I may now need to consider selling the vehicle, which will be a shame.
    Will this be an unreasonable request, could you please kindly list the common problems & prices on how much roughly 'please stay over' would these common issues would cost to rectify? And what's the worse thing that can happen & how much would that cost to rectify?
    It appears I'm missing out on even the basics which can beam the vehicle to another level!

    Any Opinions on unitronic’s maps for the daza platform?

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  Год назад +1

      They are not too popular in the uk, so I don’t have much experience with them. We have only ever rebuilt one unitronic car in the UK on 98 fuel however I have seen many e85 based failures across the pond. Whether that is maintenance or tune related, I am not in a position to say. But they do tune the majority of 5 cylinders in the USA.

    What does this package cost? I only run 99 Octane fuel, however I would want WMI fitted as well. Or is it best to get the engine fully forged to handle the more power to begin with?
    Great videos as usual, definitely be dropping my RS3 off to you guys for at least a stage 2 package or more even.

    What’s a safe torque level on stock engine? 650-680nms?

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  Год назад +3

      It is not so much torque that kills the rods but peak cylinder pressure. Torque numbers also vary from Dyno to Dyno. For example a car making 670nm on our MAHA Dyno makes approx 740nm or more on a Dynojet.
      Things that contribute to peak cylinder pressures are knock, too much boost at low rpm, boost spikes and poor fuel quality which cause knock.
      This engine is extremely sensitive to fuel. This is why commissioned our engine safety algorithm. Without appropriate engine safeties in place, every single engine will fail at some point. All it takes is for the stars to align ie a bad batch of fuel on a hot day, degraded oil quality or a weak coil pack and being wide open throttle.
      Having our engine safety algorithm on the ecu is effectively like having a nurse onboard datalogging the ecu every 100ms. A car is in a dynamic environment. Our engine safety algorithm will pick up bad fuel quality, a failing spark plug, a failing coil pack, injector and fuel pump. It even goes into a safety mode if the car is overfilled with oil. This is also one of the reasons why we are able to offer such extensive warranties with our engine build programmes.
      Without the engine safety algorithm, you are in the dark the moment the car leaves the dyno and nobody is datalogging it.

    How does the safety algorithm trigger? (For fuel with no octane booster) Via knock detection?

    • @InfinitPerformance
      @InfinitPerformance  Год назад +2

      To understand how the engine safeties work it is important to understand why the knock sensors on the car retard ignition. The knock sensors are effectively extremely sensitive microphones bolted to the side of the engine block. They are calibrated by Audi and each stroke has a set audible frequency which is picked up by the knock sensors. These sensors continuously monitor the combustion cycle to ensure everything is as it should be and within Audi’s set tolerance. If it starts to pick up inconsistencies in the combustion cycle it (this is not necessarily a knock event) it begins to retard the ignition timing on the car to correct the combustion cycle and bring it back into specification.
      The current engine safety offerings will take into account
      * Knock
      * Overboost
      * Differential Fuel Pressure
      * Fuel Trims
      * Lambda
      * Early injector failure
      * Early coil pack failure
      * Misfire
