It is amazing how the price of these have gone through the roof over the past few years. This was for sale at$33k, now these same vehicles are in the upper 40 to mid 50k range.
Not true. Picked my 2011 up last Saturday (11/4/24) 30k miles and $30k. This was from a high end dealer that knew what they had. But they will definitely appreciate in the next 5 years or so. 5,500 made for the world and the more time goes, the more they decline in numbers. Great investment by far

The 12s had aluminum block and ford said the internals and motor could handle 1000hp at the crank. They are great cars for the money these days.

Thanks for this, Zander. I love Shelby Mustangs any year and any model. I have acquaintances around here who have bought used GT500s. They love them. I've been thinking about buying one as well. If they're in good shape, they're an instant classic and contain so much heritage, history and class. Great cars!
I’ve always loved the S197 body style, especially the GT500 and 5.0 GT model, I prefer it over the S550 facelift 18+ model year but I do like the S550 pre facelift (15-17) , and the Fox body and new edge are also good ones as well all generations for that matter imo 🤷🏾♂️
All GT500 come stock with short throw shifters it's just the way it is from the factory and I have owned two of them one was a 2008 and the other one was a 2014 and both had short throw shifters from the factory

Zander I have a stock 2019 mustang gt with performance pack. I am considering a 2008 or 2011 shelby stock. Doe sit feel better than the GT? Doe sit handle as well? Will I notice much of a difference? Almost going to be paying the same money or more getting a shelby.
With the price being the same as most used 18-19 mustang GT PP1, I’m going to have to go with no. Maybe the 13-14 gt500 though. The 5.4 motor was really at the end of its life when this car came out. The new Gen 3 coyote is a monster of an engine and all you would need is intake, headers and an e85 tune to make it comparable if not faster than the gt 500. That and the new 10r80 is a hell of a transmission. Overall the advantages of the new cars is just better.
Love my pullied 2012 gt500. About to swap a gen2r onto it. If you want enjoyable driving sit and drive a gt500 with recaros. Really hold you in the seat while hitting some corners
Are you going to upgrade an internals or anything before adding a bigger blower? I have a 2011 gt500 and also a 2015 5.0 both track pack. May upgrade the blower as well possibly on the shelby
The S197 is superior compared to the S550. The 2011 is the best year to get, lighter engine weight, more room to build horsepower. Esthetically more pleasing to the eye, better engine. And the best thing about having an S197, is when you send it to Las Vegas. And it comes back home to you, as a Super Snake. #TeamS197

2010 was such a bad trick that Ford did. Pissed a lot of people off
Why is the 2010 gt500 the bastard child? Knock sensor issue? I've heard the same thing, can't quite remember the issues.
A GT500 has more power potential than a first gen Coyote. They live at 800whp while a 1st gen will spit rods out of it well before that.
Terminator was the only cool mustang, ever
Said 1 person literally ever. Too many awesome ones to list.
They should make a few more from the factory just give it the coyote and modern technology nothing crazy the body style is just amazing.
Wow! $33K!? What’s crazy is…at todays prices you would’ve damn near doubled your money on this car!! Ha!
