Not true. Picked my 2011 up last Saturday (11/4/24) 30k miles and $30k. This was from a high end dealer that knew what they had. But they will definitely appreciate in the next 5 years or so. 5,500 made for the world and the more time goes, the more they decline in numbers. Great investment by far

The boss engine has been proven better than gen 1, gen 2 and vmp says it’s even better than the gen 3 motor in terms of reliability and strong motor

Had a 2012 vert. White with black roof black int. Upgraded the supercharger and intake plus custom tune. Put down 652 at wheels. Had a ton left to do to it. The 12s had aluminum block and ford said the internals and motor could handle 1000hp at the crank. They are great cars for the money these days.

With the price being the same as most used 18-19 mustang GT PP1, I’m going to have to go with no. Maybe the 13-14 gt500 though. The 5.4 motor was really at the end of its life when this car came out. The new Gen 3 coyote is a monster of an engine and all you would need is intake, headers and an e85 tune to make it comparable if not faster than the gt 500. That and the new 10r80 is a hell of a transmission. Overall the advantages of the new cars is just better.

The S197 is superior compared to the S550.
The 2011 is the best year to get, lighter engine weight, more room to build horsepower.
Esthetically more pleasing to the eye, better engine.
And the best thing about having an S197, is when you send it to Las Vegas.
And it comes back home to you, as a Super Snake.

Any ideas on how the dealership got the car? Trade in? auction? From what I can see. The price is spot on. Great job controlling your right foot. Thanks for sharing a fantastic Shelby Mustang GT500. I can easily see you selling your GT with the terrible luck you've had with it and buy a cheaper 13-14 GT500 or even the one in the video. You would be different than the rest with still having great content...Rowing gears, already supercharged, tune, exhaust and pulley away from much more..Man it would be very tempting to go in that direction..

Preston Walker I fell in love with the new 10 speed and the clutch pedal in my 500 was killing me. Sometimes I take it to work and get caught in traffic , that started to take the fun out of it

The coyote has much more potential than the 11-12 GT500’s. And the 2010 is the bastard child

Why is the 2010 gt500 the bastard child? Knock sensor issue? I've heard the same thing, can't quite remember the issues.

A GT500 has more power potential than a first gen Coyote. They live at 800whp while a 1st gen will spit rods out of it well before that.
