This is the best performance I've ever heard so far (of this piece) I like the phrasing and specially the intonation, and not to mention the tempo is almost perfect and great use of pedal!
Im working on this piece and my piano teacher sent me an email with a link to this video and I just want to say that this song was incredibly performed! The notes were so graceful, and you made this song sound so effortless! Love it
This is the most beautiful rendition of my favorite Chopin piece!! You make the trills and grace notes seem so effortless and sound so elegant! Thank you so much for the video
To all those commenting on the pedal action: I tend to play more free-range when I use the pedal, using it where I think it'll sound nice an not necessarily strictly sticking to the music (Unless it's for an acute performance.(
parfume, scents, space...sound and its silence...i like it, simple tender beautiful music...arent we all amateurs (lovers) trying to love...chopin and alan made it
One of the my favourite renditions so far. Das que já escutei até hoje, esta é uma das minhas interpretações favoritas. Congratulations, Dr. Huckleberry.

*why did I ever come to this world* Basically, this video plus my mom equals me going crazy It is nice, but WHY DOES EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS MAKE MY LIFE HARD
Is the pedaling incorrect here? I thought that the pedal should be released on the second beat of the measure. Perhaps I'm not seeing it correctly....i'm just a beginner.... Thanks for any advice.
This is Dr. Alan Huckleberry on the piano, with The University of Iowa Piano Pedagogy Video Recording Project. They feature several pianists in their performance archive of piano pieces. Alan Huckleberry is my favorite. He has beautiful expression, articulate hands and wonderful performance skills. Enjoy listening!
for your information, that is helpful because in the future he might play even better then this, and are you even a musician, because if you are what do you play and how long! :p
best performance i've heard so far, so many people try to be too much of a virtuoso on a very simple and mellow piece like this, the result? *mhe* when i play and in my head this is like it sounds, don't care it's called like that, i'm not gonna play like a waltz on another note i'm wondering why this stenway is so bright. seems kinda out of place

I'm pretty sure Alan's music is beautiful even if he uses YAMAHA, KAWAI, or just a piece of paper. It does not matter piano maker, but who plays.
Is the pedaling incorrect here? I thought that the pedal should be released on the second beat of the measure. Perhaps I'm not seeing it correctly....i'm just a beginner.... Thanks for any advice.
Scott BikeDawg You can use the pedal however you want, it's up to you to make it sound good ;)
Smikkelbeer yeah I agree with you I love music!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
it indeed should, but personally I think it doesn't sound nice
There are different ways to pedal it. There are 2 common ways: the one you use and the one in this vid. The correct way is debated
You let the pedal go at the third beat. That’s what my teacher said.
Wait, is the piano tuned specifically for this song (non-equal temperament)? Great performance by the way.
steinway!!!!!!!!
Noice
Piknie
I mean you're good at the song
Is there a list of levels that you have and descriptions? What is level D2?
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the performer PLEASE?

Beautiful performance ! I wish people just enjoyed the music instead of picking your technique apart.
