The reservoirs, Ashokan, Roundout, Neversink, Pepacton, Gilboa, hold trout over 20lbs! And if you wanta see bald eagles, go to Roundout. At Pepacton, they love to fish at night. Row boat (only), lantern attract the sawbellies. Snag em and you’re ready to go. Some nights it looks like a little town out there with all the lights!

Was 1/4 the size i was expecting to rise up hahaha, but yeah the current and where was hooked didn't help. Also the fish was hooked out a ways and went deep straight up, was psycho pulling against that rip current hahaha. Yew

@@CavyFishing I fish a lot of Atlantic salmon in big rivers here in Norway and if it's hooked on the side like that it's always a pain in the a... and since it's a river the current is also much harder so some running is sometimes aquired. Never caught a monster but a 25 kilo Atlantic is still deacent imo. I'll keep looking for the big one so keep em coming:)

So this same exact thing happens to me while I am bass fishing and I can never get it on camera 😅 and trying to explain that the lure was just sitting there and was smashed is hard especially when you don’t get more chances to make that same situation twice and if it does it’s completely unpredictable.!😂 so ya I love when the fish are just so excited you don’t even need to reel up to get a bite or even set bail . And the fish always spits the hook if your not ready and 99% of the time a lure on top with no action means your not ready .! So it’s surprising when a fish hits it and you’re just waiting not expecting it .! Because you only think it will get a bite from making action so that top water slam is always a split second and it’s either gone or you set the hook either way without an actual camera guy it’s super hard to catch on film .! Bro I respect all of your videos and watch them all the time you and couple other guys helped me make that choice to switch up my content.! And thank you I wanna say .!! And hat off because making fishing content is not easy not one damn bit .!! And you make it look simple anyways this is amazing spot and good luck on future trips .!!
