- Today, we came to Xiangjia Dayan Cave, which is a cave dwelling. It is located in Chaoyang Village, Moudao Town, Lichuan City, Enshi, Hubei Province. When we get closer, we can see the beautiful scenery. In front of the cave, there are lush trees and green bamboos, making it seem like it is isolated from the world. . It is understood that the history of this cave can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty. At that time, the houses were built with wooden bones, bamboo strips, and sorghum poles plastered with mud as walls. A family named Xiang has always lived here, so this place is called Xiangjia Dayandong. The ancestors of the Xiang family have lived here since the Qing Dynasty. At the time, there were 8 families living here. Counting from their ancestors, there were 8 families living here. Since then, I have lived here for about 150 years. This is a paradise cave hidden in the mountainside. The main building of the rock dwelling in the cave is built along the cave wall. There are a total of 10 houses, 44.5 meters long and 5 meters wide. , 5 meters high, well preserved, with a total area of 1,300 square meters. Arranged from left to right are the building structures with one floor and one floor, showing its unique style. All houses are roofed with cliff holes without using a single tile. The main entrance on the first floor is equipped with windows and doors, and the main entrance on the second floor is equipped with windows and doors. A wooden balcony is set up, connected to the interior of each house. The cliff of the back wall of the second floor is dug about 5 meters deep inward, and forms a two-story platform structure with the inner wall of the cave on the first floor. Therefore, the four sides of the second floor are Every house has a front and back room. In addition, many traces of people's lives in the past remain here. For example, there is a curved dam about 8 meters in front of the house, which was in the 1960s. Built during the expansion, it is the most important outdoor activity area for residents in the cave. I'm a beekeeper and the bee bucket is something I've never seen before but I guess all sorts of containers have been used for bees - seen log hives, straw skeps etc. That cave and dwellings is like a moment frozen in time - does someone look after the site and keep it looking that way or is it just completely abandoned? It should be preserved as a living museum...You are such an interesting and fearless adventurer ... your videos are excellent ... you remind me of Lara Croft Tomb Raider!!
