Could do a Top 10/20 Mythbuster Movie Myths?
Duncan Vizla (The Black Kaiser) "Polar"
Trabucco from "Buddy Buddy (1981)"
Chun from "Remo Williams (1985)"
The Ninja Assassin
You forgot Karl rubrecht kroenen from hellboy and Jules and Vincent from pulp fiction hell even mathayus from the scorpion king is (or was technically speaking) an assassin
Keanu Reeves did a very good job playing John Wick.
We can’t wait to see the 4th one in the future.
It’s not called the future it’s actually called this year’s March 24
@@Theonionofthedisneyjuniorlore that's still the future, it's just not as far in the future.....
Uma Thurman’s character Beatrix Kiddo went from assassin to vengeful antihero in 2 ‘Kill Bill’ movies and we LOVE it.
And Daryl Hannah never looked hotter!
@@catjudo1 Splash!
Tom Cruise’s character, Vincent, in Collateral was a unique role he took and he nailed it as an assassin!!
Love that movie
Indeed he did
That movie is awesome imo and Vincent is a fantastic character
I will have to watch this, from this clip it looks like the role in Interview with a Vampire
He trained with a former SAS operative that Michael Mann used in other films like heat.
Thank you for including John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank. It’s one of my favourite ever movies with a superb soundtrack and is just as funny as it is exciting.
"POPCORN!"
It's an amazingly quotable movie. It's my favorite romantic comedy of all time and barely anyone has ever watched it!
Came here just to see if they'd put Martin Blank on the list
Bill Nighy in Wild Target, Cusack has a better role but I like both movies about the same. Sam Rockwell in Mr Right does a god job too, about on par with Cusack and the movie is a close third.
@@ljessecusterl love it
There’s also the movie Assassins featuring Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas and The Jackel featuring Bruce Willis and Richard Gere.
I'm glad Leon the professional is in it. Really good movie.
The extended cut gets WEIRD, but it's still one of my favorites.
@@JETZcorpwhat happens?
Underrated classic 'Ninja Assassin'. They changed the choreography of the film as the main actor improved his skills with a blade and chain during filming. It is cliched however the Wachowski sisters did a great job producing it and James McTeigue did a great job directing.
I agree. It’s one of the most underrated action movies ever. I love the way they paid homage to the classic ninja movies while incorporating some modern elements as well.
@@willieneon1 a sequel to this film would be awesome. Like modern old school fights against rival clans 👊🏾
@@tonyhenson1764I’ve been waiting on a sequel to Ninja Assassin forever now, it was such a fun movie. Still hoping we get it!
But script was pure crap and acting crew except Rain was awful. Action scens, one of the bests.
@@MarioCindric the script was not ground breaking however that is why I liked it. It kind of paid homage to previous ninja films prior instead of trying to re introduce the wheel 🤘🏽
First of all thanks for adding Leon and Nikita and Martin Blanke. A few of my favorite movies. But you definitely could’ve swapped someone out for Nobody’s Hutch
Honorable Mention: Charley Baltimore from The Long Kiss Goodnight
This is what I was looking for.
💯
just rewatched that over Xmas absolutely underrated movie
That's what i was going to say
She should be on the list
Desperado, inglorious bastards, and Suicide squad all have characters that could've been honorable mentions but this was overall a really solid list. And Machete! cant forget about Trejo!
Yeah, missing Antonio Banderas as well!
Benicio in Sicario also.
Never forget Trejo
Aaron Hallam "The Hunted" benicio del torro
@@MarioCindric look up benicio in The Hunted
The fact that Agent 47 or the Equalizer arent on this list says a lot about this list...
Yeah, I was waiting for Agent 47 to pop up. Same as Denzel's Creasy from Man on Fire (2004).
He wasn’t asking for help…. He was asking for permission.
I was thinking the same, plus also wanted to see on the list guys like Django and Punisher
@@halfhash neither of them are actual assassins. Yes they kill people but they are not assassins, as in profession.
Mechanic too
I've always wanted Natalie to reprise her role as Matilda. Takes the money Leon gave her travels the world training, or enlists and comes back to be a cleaner herself and hunts the people Stanfield worked for
You and me both dude! It can still happen though, fingers crossed!
Never gonna happen. Luc wanted also to make that movie, but studios couldn't agree with his terms, so instead he made another movies with female assains like Anna and Lucy. And studios couldn't attrack Natalie even she stated she would love to reprise the role of Matilde.
@@MarioCindric it'll always be a missed opportunity. It might not have been a really well known movie, but everyone who watched it loved it and Natalie Portman is a huge star now. That movie would do excellent
@@xplosiv211 Leon Professional is one of the greatest blockbusters in 90s. It's very well known movie. Especially because Luc was one of the most wanted and known directors after Nikita. Just look at casting crew in that movie. Those actors were stars in 90s, except Natalie who was kid, but that movie launched her into a star and Hollywood.
Guys the sequel was made... it was intended to be called Matilha but the director left the company as they wanted portman to be the character but she was too young.... Columbiana was based upon the script.... Zoe Seldana girl assassin flick.
John Wick and Beatrix Kiddo are two of my several favorite movie antiheroes of all time.
I'm surprised that Denzel Washington’s character Robert McCall from The Equalizer movies wasn't on this list.
Agree
Not Assassin. But his charachter from Man on Fire should be.
@@MarioCindric he was an assassin its what is clear in the second movie when his handler is the rogue protagonist
@@MarioCindric in man on fire hes a disgrased ex secret service agent
@@TotensBurntCorpse He was Assassin secret agent. Christopher Walken made great speech about that, about what's he going to do.
We all knew who number 1 was going to be.
Wick isn't just an assassin, he's a slasher with guns and a nice suit.
“We will spill their blood, til it rains down from the sky!”
- Murphy MacManus, The Boondock Saints
I think that was actually Connor's quote
@@jimmysandonato3403 you sure? I thought if I remember correctly I pictured Norman Reedus saying it
@@jimmysandonato3403 - doesn't matter who said it, as long as the brothers have ROPE!!! 😉😉
You forgot probably the most iconic assassin in film of all time; Charles Bronson as The Mechanic
Watch Mojo video makers are too young to know him.
@@h2odivr I know it’s sad, I’m 20 years old but my father was good enough to show me all the old shows and I fell in love with them. I came to the comment section to look specifically for Charles Bronson because his role in the mechanic is my top #1 movie assassin.
+Lee Marvin in Point Blank
@@h2odivr I thought Jason Statham also did a good job in the re-make.
John Wick is less of a person and more of a force of nature. Listen, and understand. That guy is out there. He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever.
Exactly
I once saw him kill three men in a bar with a pencil. With. A. Friggin. Pencil.
Lmao You watch too much anime kid 😂
@@StuntmanDanHemi That was a Terminator reference, but go off.
Love the list! Still remember watching the Bourne identity for the first time. Fantastic!
@Max Headroom funny that those books are based on soviet era vietnam as bournes start
@Max Headroom meant most people think they are set near to today not in the late 60s
Glad to see Ah Jong on the list (and not the terrible names that some dubbed & subtitled versions saddle him with).
Vincent from Collateral should’ve been higher purely for the scene where he takes out the two hoodlums in the alleyway. It’s the most brutally efficient bit of killing I’ve ever seen in a movie.
Great list!
These are modern movies. Leon,: "The Professional" a 1994 French movie, gets my vote. Weird but entertaining.
Glad to see Bucky Barnes on the list
Listen.. I have been watching this channel for a decade. As an action movie fan, I have never seen a more perfect list. This is to me without argument the right picks. Thank you 🙌🏿
Y'all surprised me... I didn't expect you to grab World movies... I was all ready to complain about the Killer... but you have it in all its glory. Well done.
Loved this list - villains like Red Grant and Raymond Shaw (and the others) absolutely make the film.
Mr. Bean is a top tier assassin
Great list.
Great List just one character I personally would have added was Booth/Leery from "In The Line of Fire" played by John Malkovitch this guy plans and very nearly fully executes every aspect of a presidential assassination with exceptional precision and skill
Love the list! I just can’t see how Jane Smith beat out Evelyn Salt though. I never realized until watching this how awesome Angelina Jolie in action flicks 🔥
The Professional is one of my favorite movies and damn amazing.
Sitting here thinking we all knew number 1. A modern classic.
What a great list idea
I was always partial to Boris The Blade from Snatch
Great list but what about Christian Wolfe from the Accountant? Ryan Renyolds’ Deadpool? Will Smith’s Deadshot?
He was not an assassin, he was an underworld accountant for criminals, he just has skills to protect himself, his brother is an assassin though
I was holding my breath for Beatrix Kiddo!! good job, Mojo.
Wow...I am truly shocked that you included the older Jackal but not Bruce Willis's Jackal. Or how about Ben Affleck's The Accountant? Sylvester Stallone & Antonio Banderas? Killua from HunterxHunter? Really thought The Accountant shoulda been on here.
Agreed with Ben Affleck's The Accountant !
Is not the Accountant the supernatural hunter that hunts Nicholas Cage?
But he is not an assassin, he is an underworld accountant for criminals, he just has skills to protect himself, his brother was an assassin though
I wonder if we should have put Denzel Washington's Equalizer or Bryan Mills on this list.
Jubal Early from Firefly is one of my favorite TV characters period. He was ice cold🥶
"Does that seem right to you?"
Honorable mention: Joubert in 3 Days of the Condor.
Great that you guys put Leon on the list.
Love this list
Yay, thank you!
Okay give me heart
And you're welcome
Literally most of this list is some of my favourite movies
Very solid list. I think many more Tarantino film characters could've made the list as well, OR honorable mentions. Jules & Vega (Travolta/Jackson)are probably number 1 on the Tarantino list...or Louis Gara (Deniro), Seth & Richard Gecko (Clooney & Tarantino), (Walken or Gandolfini) in True Romance. PS - Also low key the Albino Twins from The Matrix Reloaded tee hee
Steve Buscemi as Mr Shhh in Things to do in Denver when you're Dead. Brilliant. Forest Whitaker in Ghost Dog. Two of the very best. Must see movies.
VINCENT from the film "Collateral" is one of my all-time top THREE.... So cold and matter of fact.... I love this contract killer
Charles Bronson, The Mechanic
John Wick rightfully deserves the no1 spot on this list. Natasha Romanoff is my favorite female assassin of all time. I would liked to have seen the Ninja assassin on here. None the less great job on the video watch mojo.
John Wick is always checking his bed before he sleeps to see if Leon is watching him.
The operative from Serenity is one of my favorites.
COLLATERAL = MASTERPIECE
Good video
I want to comment but I'm afraid it would turn into a short novel...smile Excellent choices!!
John wick, Collateral Damage, Nobody, Agent 47 from Hitman are the best in the business
You forgot about the naked weapon assassins they are the best.
Honestly bloodsport and deadshot should be up there
I mean, you kinda missed the one and only bald assassin 47.
Nikita, when was put on screen, was a Fantastic movie, and after all this years,Still is a Fantastic movie.
Also like "Leon".
Charles Bronson - The Mechanic
When John Wick tells you to take the night off, you take the night off. And if he offers you peace, take it. You're not going to get a second chance
Bring on Chapter 4.
Cuba Gooding Jnr, The Hit List, a good, psychological thrill killer
best quote "I just fast forward peoples lives to the credits"
Steve Buscemi (sp?) played an interesting assassin in Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead. His character was quiet, effective and a relentless tracker. The only mercy he showed in the movie was killing a character who didn't run with a shot through the heart instead of something more painful. Mediocre movie, but he was the best part.
Also, in The Day of the Jackal, the assassination scene in which the car was shot up was based on historical events. The car was a Citroen DS21, and after the real life attempt on his life, Charles De Galle insisted that his presidential vehicle would be this type of car from then on. You just learned a Jeopardy fact!
Sorter in "Revolver" is a personal favourite.
Marc Strong’s character, Sorter, was an excellent assassin in Guy Ritchie’s movie Revolver (featuring Jason Statham and Ray Liota)
Forgot to put in Raizo from Ninja Assassin. Badass movie dude 🤙😎!!!
Top two most realistic hitman characters were Leon and Vincent, hands down. What surprised me was no mention some other very good and/or unique movies like Ghost Dog, Assassins, Smokin' Aces or Hitman.
Lately, the assassin on my mind has been Anna from the 2019 self titled movie. John Wick killed someone with a pencil, while she killed someone with a fork.
John Wick The World's Greatest Assassin.
Funny how several assassins work stealthly yet their reputations and respective identities are well-known.
Missed Maxwell Smart, agent 86. Other than this, a solid list.
Haven’t watched yet, but Bruce Willis in The Whole 9 Yards is a personal favorite
This list surprised me. I saw Atomic Blonde I was like Kool. Then the assassin from FireFly? Alright! Then Leon. But there's people that are left out that should be included. The Mechanic Jason Statham. Maybe Underworld Kate Beckisale.
Damn I had hoped Ninja Assassin would get some kind of mention. But I also know the movie wasn't well received.
Bruce Willis in "The Jackal"
I knew John wick would be #1
Great list, but I do want to bring up one glaring omission: Chev f***ing Chelios (Crank.)
Ya know, if John Wick was sent to kill Godzilla, he could do it. Don't ask me how, he just could.
...with a pencil.
Yeah, but the whole franchise was so unrealistic, it was hard to watch. A guy got shot and stabbed million times and still survived until a blind person (even more unrealistic) killed him from a far.
Just saw this movie recently: The Fable. His talent as an assassin is on a completely different level.

Half of these are spies more than assassins.
Robert Raft (Stallone) and Miguel Baine (Banderas) in "Assassins"
Snake Plisken
Charlie Baltimore (The Long Kiss Goodnight)
Agent 47 (Hitman)
Mr. Hinx (Spectre)
Giselle (Kingsman)

Col. Stauffenberg (Valkyrie)
Agent 47 Hitman (2007) and Hitman Agent 47 (2016)
Yes
Fully agree! He should have been at least nr. 2!
Leon: The Professional and The Boondocks Saints are amazing movies
personally i think Leon should have been nr 1, i mean the rest are obviously great but the film Leon is just iconic
"I shot him. The bullets and the fall killed him."
Francis, _Mr. Right_ -- played by Sam Rockwell -- might not've qualified for the top 20, but should've at least received an honorable mention.
Man, I love the John Woo films The Killer and Hard Boiled. There influenced on films like John Wick cannot be understated.
The PS3 game was great too.
then you will also like The Replacement Killers ... Woo did the fight scenes
@@TotensBurntCorpse love that one too. Underrated gem.
Now I wanna see all these movies...again.
Lmao. The chick in the James Bond movie punching him once in the abs 🤣 tf was that?
She had knuckledusters on...
The Equalizer, Man on Fire, Hitman (2007), Bangkok Dangerous.
Helen Bingham from Cat Run is one of my favorite movie assassins. I also liked Bruce Willis as The Jackal.
Vincent needs to be at least in the top 5.
Two Denzel Washington characters could have/should have been on this list: Mr. Creasey from "Man on Fire" and of course Robert McCall from "The Equalizer". Jason Statham's Christmas from "The Expendables" is a guilty pleasure as well.
Oof! The pronunciation of "Baba Yaga" @ 17:37 hurt me right in my Russian soul! 😖 lol 😝
Martin Q Blank- "I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork, how have you been?" Grosse Pointe Blank, I saw this in the theaters about 15 times (WAYYY before streaming was a thing) and on DVD too many times to count. Thank you for putting him on this list. On my Top 10 list of best movie of all-time.
The Mechanic with Jason Statham, banderas in Desperado, agent 47 in Hitman, so many that should be on this list ahead of others.
Yooo! Jules, how can you not have Jules on this list??? He was Pulp Fiction!
A hitman list witout Arthur Bishop from the mechanic is incomplete.
Bronson or Statham?
@@TrashJack3000 nice question. Both were great, but Bronson had more deph.
