    Great video and explanation. A few comments if I may as I have been through both airports transferring/deplaning/emabarking and changing terminals domestic and to Narita/HDA vv round 90 times and both have their advantages and NH flies to DLC in China form Narita so the SYD connection rquires a bus or train between airports. Both are convenient and of course downtown from Narita 65 min on the train and HDA closer but on one occasion using public transport to HDA I had baggage for once and a little inconvenient solo on monorail etc but expected that but of course both airlines have superb ground services and attitudes as displayed by you and I believe she may have noticed your QF Platinum upon checking in. Years ago Emeralds did not get express pass immigration but that was rectified by JAL. Cannot speak highly enough about all their ground services (JL and NH) and many instances where they went beyond call of duty to help and as NH Diamond was extraordinary especially bagggeg allowances in F class. In DLC they even called me at my office to tell me my points were expitring and to book a flight so as not to lose my points. The ground manager escorts Dianond members onto planes as do Shenzhen Airlines. All in all airlines in Japan and all their asscoaietd services and personnel world class. It makes traveling just a little easier. Happy and safe travels to everyone.

      Thanks of the comment. Japan gives some of the best service in the world, not just in airports.
      I am heading back to Japan in July. Been over 3 years since my last visit. Can't wait. Will be flying through many airports there, Haneda, Naha, Ishigaki, Kagoshima and Nagasaki.

    There cannot be western chefs living in Tokyo just cooking western style meals for Japan airlines. The chefs have to be Japanese. The meals that you had on this flight and which you showed in your video seemed delectable. Even if the meals
    does not fully taste like western but it's appetizing, the food should be consumed. All chefs have different styles of cooking food.
    You cannot have simple meals in business class because this is the upgraded version of the economy class. You or someone have paid for the business class service. Thanks for your video.

    • @NowGetThere
      @NowGetThere  2 года назад

      I would say they were Japanese chefs preparing the Western meals as it was heavily Japanese influenced. I will stick to the Japanese food on Japan Airlines as it was outstanding.

Qantas airways also won an award for the best business class flying to Australia, New Zealand, and the south pacific. Other Oneworld alliance members also won awards.

    Do u prefer JL/NH/JQ/QF if flying between 🇯🇵 and 🇦🇺?

    • @NowGetThere
      @NowGetThere  4 года назад

      That is a tough one to answer in just a short answer. So here is the shortest I could think off.
      I love flying so i am not too concerned on which airline I fly with. Yes I have my favourites but I will choose an airline based on:
      price
      Departure and arrival time
      Frequent flyer points and status
      If I am going on holidays and not in a rush then I am happy to go on the budget airline Jetstar but not direct flight from Sydney. Goes via Gold Coast or Cairns. If I am not in a rush then I am happy to take an indirect route.
      It has been more than 20 years since I have flown with ANA. They are high on my list of airlines to try again soon. They have won so many awards recently so I want to try them.
      Japan Airlines is a great airline. Great service, great food and I earn Qantas frequent flyer points. I am sure I will fly with them again. Last flight was with them in February on their B787-9. Great aircraft, awesome flying experience.
      I have mostly flown with Qantas between Sydney and Qantas. I loved flying on the B747-400 as it has always been my favourite aircraft to fly on. They may be retired but that will always be the Queen of the Sky.
      Now Qantas will use their Dreamliner B787-9 to fly between Sydney and Tokyo so I am keen to try that product.

      Yeah sorry I should have filmed the Japanese whiskey. You can only get 2 or 3 types of Japanese whiskey at the Duty free stores. Japanese Whiskey is so popular in Japan most stock goes to the domestic market.

    Where do I start?
    1. G'Day!? According to the latest linguistic surveys, this phase is stereotypically used by non-Australians who believe it is widely used which it certainly isn't. I have heard military mid ranks using this phrase. Can you indicate where you might have picked it up?
    2. Haneda is pronounced Ha-Nay-Da not Ha-Nee-Da.
    3. Ramen is pronounced Ra-Men not Ram-N. All vowels are pronounced.
    4. The Indicator Board at Haneda changed, of course, from Japanese to Romaji not English. People who don't speak a word of English can still read it because it is written in Romaji (Roman Letters).
    5. (Maison) Kitsune. Again the letter E is always pronounced AY so Ki-Tsu-Nay would be correct.
    I must also comment that you have a very good voice. The beautiful controlled baritone is very pleasant to listen to!
