I really want to be a full-time Skeleton, but I hate missing out on every subsequent cosmetic release, and not being able to show off other hard earned cosmetics. The skeleton curse is in dire need of some variety. All it really means in its current state is that you play a lot of hourglass, maybe cleared a few sea forts, and did a tall tale.
They should make a live event of his return. A countdown would begin, and once players log in the game they will witness a massive red storm above the sea dogs tavern, with the Burning Blade in yhe gateway. As the countdown reaches zero, the storm would fire a beam of red light to the top of the gateway. In a flash of light Flameheart's body will reanimate, and sail its ship into the Sea of Thieves. Athena ghost ships would emerge, only to be absolutely destroyed by the resurrected legend. He would sail towards the Reaper Hideout, diving down near the shore. And then his laughter would be heard across the skies everywhere on the map
Well yes and no because I think it should be a tall tale or a series of tall tales, in fact I am working on a concept of what could happen with these tall tales

I said it on Falcore's video, I'll say it again. We'll get Flameheart back as a watered-down 'Pirate Lord' for the Reapers, he'll exist down in the Reaper's Hideout with cameo appearances until he and Ramsay realize their squabbles about the Sea of Thieves are secondary in the face of the surging presence of the Maritime Union a la Sovereigns. Then Rare will make us sing around the campfire with the two and the Dark Brethren with the real message of Sea of Thieves being that "The Pirate's life is whatever you make it, it's not about the gold, or the glory, it's about the friends you make along the way." Flaccid, disappointing, and terribly on point for post-2019 Rare Ltd.
SoT is all about cosmetics, that is why we need way more stuff for the Skeleton curse. I know that they’ll probably never add the same level of customization options that normal pirates have, but it would be nice to at least have beards and hats added for the skeleton curse
I definately agree with the idea of making Reapers' Bones have their own voyages, they're no longer the dedicated pvp faction (And hardly were to begin with now days due to them being the best flag for gold). I'd love to see them have voyages involving setting up rituals, schemes, maybe a heist or two stealing trinkets from Athena caches right under the Pirate Lord's ugly nose. Anything to make them in line to be a fitting rival faction. Another thing I wish we'd get, though I doubt it, is to remake Molten Sands into something more impactful than a regular fort with a chest of rage inside. Though I can't see how they'd do that without making it another FoF with an Ashen Lord. Maybe introduce a new subtype of skeletons? I'm not sure.

This is quite literally the only reason Im still playing. I bought SoT for S8's HG pvp and skeleton curse, waiting for Flameheart's big return hopefully expanding my chosen faction.

Cool voyage idea. But lore wise, I'm not sure how Flameheart getting the blade would work. He would just "win" as soon as he gets it. It's too OP. Want to get rid of the trading companies? Just point the blade at the representatives and they'll happily drown themselves. Want to get rid of Athena's Fortune? Just point the blade at them and they are your army. Someone stands in your way? Point the blade. The blade is too OP to keep in the story, really. They did hint at the blade losing its power in a twitter post, but what's the point in getting it at that point?
I wish Flameheart becomes the Pirate Lord of the Reaper Bones, and maybe with the rumors of the bumping up levels to the trading comps they can prob get reapers to actually mean something and be something instead of a PVP faction and more of a actual real working faction that voyages help with Flameheart's agenda. And also cool cosmetics like AShinyRay said in his video. A world event would be stupid for so many years of saying "Flameheart is coming" and also bro imagine actually working for him, but like you would have to be like a Skelly to go down there and do voyages for him. They should also add Guild allignments so like Guilds can be allied with different factions and get more rewards, so like a Reaper Guild would be dope asf and now just get the Emissary from Sovs and only sell to them for the boosts
maybe a legend of the veil type voyage that awards rep towards one of the curses depending of your hourglass alignment but your hour hourglass is activated as soon as the voyage is started and stays activated until the voyage is complete and/or exclusive loot from this voyage is sold. this means you can be invaded by another player at anytime and not only can they take your voyage/loot but sinking someone doing this activity awards high rep if you are sunk the voyage is lost and you have to start again.
I wonder if that music that was accidentally added to the other reaper island has anything to do with Flameheart, they could build him a castle or something over there.
They really do need to expand the captains quarters cosmetics as there’s a lot but it’s still very limited. We’ve only gotten 2 set additions since the launch of season 7 being the bone crusher and legendary
Well a big part of the community seems to follow Flamehearts idea of pirates, with a lot of people not really wanting to make team up with others and just want to steal anything worth from the other pirate. Also.. I really like the second idea you suggested with Rare upgrading the Reaper's hideout like golden sand got an upgrade.. Give more love to he Reaper's bones and Servant of flames.. Also.. I don't really want the Flameheart return only be an adanture that ends after an set time.. and then never get seen again.. I like the idea of be able to relive the moment again, or have Flameheart change the world in an big way.
I would love a voyage from the reapers bones and I hope they add new characters that are members of the servant of the flame at each outpost instead of going to one location where are you end up losing all of the loot
My idea for reaper quests is to go find dark relics, like we did in adventure, but then it would be to side up with flameheart and give more power to ashenlords... completing the quest would transform your crew in ashen skeletons and you would have to assault a fortress (guarded by ghosts) to items that partially uncover Merrick's secret. The boss would be the ancient warrior (which I still have no clue who he is, even though we released him in previous adventure...). Boss NEEDS to be challenging as we are talking about reaper quests (pvp able players); multiple stages of fight with deadly attacks that have different patterns to learn (to dodge or survive). Also, bring back sea fort capture the flag (enable ghost ship of controlling faction) with hourglass ONLY crews + siren skull in the pit. Would make extreme seas =D

I think all the Reaper's emissaries should be redesigned at every outpost besides Port Merick to either be more hidden or out in the open or at least move the Hideout into the Devil's Roar as an anti Athena area
As I awaiting the return of Flameheart I myself am making a return, to this video. I like your idea of there being a sort of castle around reapers, although I had an alternate idea I wanted to share. What if Flameheart took back the sea dogs tavern? I mean it was his to begin with and its right next to reapers, maybe thats why the sea forts had sea dog paintings and sigils. I hope if they add the burning blade it isn't something crazy like level 500+ servants, maybe 100+
One of the rewards for a reaper voyage could be the ashen chest of legends as you rarely see it now with veils taking over the original athenas and ashen Athenas as the main way to grind.One way they do this is it being found in the shrine section you mentioned along with other ashen and Athena loot.
I absolutely hope it's gonna be such an epic reveal with events and actual possibility of choosing side. Reapers with Reapers, Athenas with Athenas. But... and I don't wanna sound like a complainer, judging by what has been done with Sea Of Thieves past year is not a good indicator of epic things coming... Rare seems to be in a super confusion mode lately, adding nothing new apart from Emporium stuff :/ But there's hope I guess, there always is.

Obviously we will see Flameheart in the flesh, or bones?, at some point in the future. But I believe that Hourglass was the direct result of his return? The War for the Sea of Thieves is grand enough a commemoration, even though it would have happened anyway even if return of the Damned happened differently.
If they make the burning blade the objective of the reaper mission, then they'll have to explain in-game how flame heart now has the burning blade suddenly, even though we have it locked in the Athena vault
Maybe we are tested with finding something else. Maybe an ancient throne that comes in three pieces and when we get all three pieces flame-heart himself comes to retrieve it from us or we have to deliver it to the hideout and we see him come out and sit on it
Either is gonna be worth the wait or it won't. Thats how it will really break down. Having the skelly curse might finally show its potential or will just be a disappointment and waste of a grind XD
Being somebody who voted for Flameheart to return (in order to kill him for good) this whole debacle just made me think even less of the reapers than i already did, i really love how the "super high and mighty supreme pirate warlord" has finally returned for good in order to take the seas for himself, declares war and then....locks himself in his room for 11+ months (not only locks himself but has somebody board his door up and chain it so nobody can go in and he can't leave). i dunno man sounds like the so godly Flameheart is shitting his bones in fear

I wanna see a echo/ghost of "Old Mother" kraken fight, or even skeletal. Those bones at krakens fall are too small for old mother, so where is she? Starved under cursed chains. I think she could be out there, undead in some variety. Be it the ancients, pirate lord, or captain flameheart that brings her idk or mind, just wanna see it
the reapers views are not flamehearts views. reapers are about purge-esque freedom, to do whatever you please, but flameheart believes in living in a world where HE can do what HE pleases, and nobody else.

I don't think flame heart can have the burning blade considering how powerful it was that would give flame heart the instant win immediately subjugates the pirate Lord, all of the pirate legends and all of his oppositions with a sword that can directly control people against their will
I hope they make him a new faction. They should make him a new faction on par with Athena... We could have a real "good" and "bad" thing going then in PvE; athena vs flameheart.

Eh, I’m pretty over flameheart at this point, so I wouldn’t really care if any of this came to the game tbh. The novel ruined his story for me and the adventures last year were very off-putting. Let’s also not forget how disney has came along and interrupted the story TWICE! Seriously, how many times can I have déjà vu with this game over the last few years.
@@mountainrogue3448 no salt, I just think the Reapers faction was absolutely pointless, stealing peoples loot and fighting didn't need more incentives as most crews already look for it. On top of that is the fact reapers always show up on the map taking out the challenge of keeping an eye on the horizon and the cherry on top being most Reaper ships are just PvE grinders and FoTD grinders completely going against the whole point of the faction. Now if Reaper gameplay was an alternate mode where you are a skeleton with the skeleton ship. Unable to begin voyages and tall tales (potential Reaper exclusive voyages like defending a fort or something) I'd feel different about but the whole concept and execution of the reapers just sucks
WoulD be cool, but rare favorite Ramsey anD care more about soft playerbase then harD playerbase (the true main playerbase of SoT), couz sof playerbase is bigger in numbers xD

They shouldn't bring back flameheart, nor should they bring back adventures or advance the "story". Let it all die with a whimper and focus on what makes sea of thieves unique. The Sandbox and the mechanics within.
Based on recent history we can’t have both. They have been focusing so much on the narrative and adding things that get played once and never again that the core of what makes the game unique has suffered.

Yes to the first bit but no to representatives on each outpost, it makes Reaper's too easy!

Flameheart's not actually back right now, you do know that right? It's taken 11 months because of the issues behind the scenes with developing Guilds.

I personally think that the burning blade would not make sense because the pirate lord has it after the money island tall tales but it’s a good idea

I don't think flame heart can have the burning blade considering how powerful it was that would give flame heart the instant win immediately subjugates the pirate Lord, all of the pirate legends and all of his oppositions with a sword that can directly control people against their will

Eh, I’m pretty over flameheart at this point, so I wouldn’t really care if any of this came to the game tbh. The novel ruined his story for me and the adventures last year were very off-putting. Let’s also not forget how disney has came along and interrupted the story TWICE! Seriously, how many times can I have déjà vu with this game over the last few years.

@@mountainrogue3448 no salt, I just think the Reapers faction was absolutely pointless, stealing peoples loot and fighting didn't need more incentives as most crews already look for it. On top of that is the fact reapers always show up on the map taking out the challenge of keeping an eye on the horizon and the cherry on top being most Reaper ships are just PvE grinders and FoTD grinders completely going against the whole point of the faction.
Now if Reaper gameplay was an alternate mode where you are a skeleton with the skeleton ship. Unable to begin voyages and tall tales (potential Reaper exclusive voyages like defending a fort or something) I'd feel different about but the whole concept and execution of the reapers just sucks
Also, let's be realistic, our expactions are way above SoT content xD
