Right.!! I wonder if they had a divorce lawyer fund for their "Cast Members" during those times. "Wow I feel like a REAL movie star I can't keep a spouse and have a terrible reputation"

I’m always scared when Simon covers Disney because I am that person who moved across the country to work at Disney World because it was my dream. My dream job paid $8 an hour and I basically starved for 6 years of working there but I did love it. Disney’s costumes: when it comes to “washing” them they don’t...due to allergies they allegedly just like “sanitize” them without water from what I hear. I have picked up a “clean” costume only to find a half eaten piece of pizza in the pocket. True story. I’ve also lost my name tag and found the tag a few weeks later still attached to the “cleaned” costume in costuming. Also their motto for cast members is “Safe D begins with me” From what I hear there’s still boob spotters and middle finger spotters. It might be done with technology now but it’s still a thing. After working at Disney and Universal for years I can honestly say I have seen SO MANY BOOBS. Like how do you not know that’s hanging out. Jeeze... I always live for the Blaze and for all of Simon’s channels and podcasts but Business Blaze is the best.
My friend/nieghbor retired from teaching and then worked for Disney when she had a pension to live off of.....otherwise she would have starved too. She also LOVED her job. I liked the place when I was a kid but hate it now.
Photopass has a team that monitors all photos at the parks. There’s SOOOO MANY ways to make a photo get deleted by them. But it was always fun to show the pictures in the camera center only to notice some one’s fly down.
"Safe D begins with me"..? Is that real? Does D represent something other than what I've grown accustomed to? Otherwise, it kind of clashes with not washing the undies...
Disney used to re-release old films in theaters every few years when I was a kid. My aunt took me to see Song of the South at the theater in Florida sometime around 1985-ish. It's...bad. Just...wow.
I loved the Song of the South. Light heated, taught some morals, life skills, etc. Br'er Rabbit with the Tar Baby, Briar patch, The Laughing Place, and other shorts, and that very good song. The song and performance of the song is banned. They guy that played Uncle Remus was a great actor with great talent and singing voice. Too bad that is lost.
We had a VHS of it from China that my aunt bought when she lived there. I don't think it was necessarily super offensive per say but it wasn't anything remarkable and when people tell me they regret not seeing it I tell them they aren't missing much.
@@gracehaven5459 It is no more offensive than many of the Shirley Temple movies of the same area. Mr Bo Jangles was a legend. It is now offensive to have a housekeeper.
Simon talking about how a mop being cut into bits is scary in Fantasia but completely forgets about Satan rocking up at the end of the movie and kick-starting a hellish party.

I worked for Disney for like 6 months. I didn’t really want to work there at first and didn’t understand why for some people it was their dream job. But after getting employed there and doing the orientation I understood why some people kept applying for 10years straight until they finally got hired. There were people CRYING because they were so happy to finally get the job. And during the 3 day orientation It’s really an experience unlike any other. My great uncle was a singer in a Disney movie (which you've probably seen) and Disney was always kind to him and helped him. He even paid for his burial rather than let him be buried in a potters field.
I LOVE the things that people think are scary based on how they felt about them as children. Toilets, bathtub drains, darkness, and the closet are classics, but Simon's fear of the broom from Fantasia is great
I applied to work at The Disney Store back in the early 1990's. I was told that I would have to wear a black skirt that would be part of my uniform. Then I was told I would be given a pair of black bike shorts so that no one could see my underwear. The skirt came down to my knees. Did not accept that job. Too weird.
When I was in grade three (in 1992), my teacher had a Song of the South picture book she would read from every day. She even read us the t*r baby story while giggling about how terrible it was. I didn't understand at the time, but looking back I can't believe that happened.
My Dad loves Disney and bought Fantasia when I was 5. I left the room crying maybe halfway through and refused to go back in until it was switched off and taken out of the vhs player. I’ve just realised I don’t remember ever even seeing the box again so I don’t know where they put it. I’m sure this movie is reason why I have recurring nightmares about being stuck in dark rooms and houses where the lights will not switch on no matter what I try to do 😳😭😔
Watching subtitles is totally under rated, Simon. It adds a great layer of humor. Like when you say “behemoth”, and the great RUclips gods type it out as “Bear moth”. You can’t get that level of accuracy (idiocy) anywhere else. I often imagine, if they can’t get english right, surely they have other languages mastered.
17:53 random fact: not so much an allegedly. Walt Disney is the OG copyright troll. The original copyright law was quite reasonable, but Walt had no intention of ever giving up the rights to Mickey Mouse (who wasn't even _technically_ his own original creation) and he made sure to not only manipulate a loophole, but got the law changed entirely.
Back in the olden times when we had three channels and a local station, I remember watching Song of the South on TV. It had to be late 80s but it definitely was played on CBS yearly.
Danny is other persona. How else would Danny and Simon have the same "thoughts" during every reading. When Simon switches to Danny, he has no recollection of his many jobs he's done. Like Jim Carey in Me, Myself and Irene.
@@patricktomblin1998 Right? I've been saying this in more than one of his videos! At first I thought Simon was the captured victim. Then the consistency of them being on the same page gave me the epiphany I needed! I'm on to you, Simon/Danny!
All channels featuring Simon are wonderful, but this Blaze Business is something of true greatness. (I know what I said and I MEANT TO SAY IT.) Seeing Simon on a bit of a sillier note is...Fantastic. ☺️
When I was a kid, they played "Song of the South" on the Disney channel constantly. I may be aging myself. Removing the Uncle Remus characters which were traditional to the culture (and which no kid today can recognize), and replacing it with a story 100% created out of thin air by Disney? How is that better? (Also the best movie reference to Uncle Remus ever was in "Let's Go To Prison," where Nelson quotes it to the white supremacist, "please don't send me into that brier patch.")
When the snooty cat and the courageous dog with the celebrity voices meet for the first time in reel 3, that's when you'll catch a flash of Tyler's contribution to the film.
Simon I've been trying to be more careful about when I hit the like button so I don't get too many 'off' recommendations from RUclips due to random things I may watch. But when I click one of your videos I hit the like button every time before it even starts.
I have heard it argued that the fact that they can continue to sue over uses of 50+ year old characters is one of the worst aspects of our system. Disney himself had a big role in lobbying to change our copywrite laws so he could keep rights forever and never allow them to go to public domain. Allegedly.
I fucking love this channel, Simon. I love all your channels for the education, but i love this channel for the priceless entertainment. Your personality is wonderfully humorous, Dannys scripts are amazing and both together make for a wonderfull mess of a video. Greetings from Germany, please keep this channel going. I freaking adore it. Sincerally Eric
There are some omissions, like how Disney "awarded" the animators of the European team after the original animation "Mulan" saved Disney Productions, or the shameless rip-off of Tezuka's "Kimba" that was "The Lion King".....
Mickey Mouse is a ripoff too. Walt was working on a character that the studio lost the rights to, so they just changed the ears and said he was a mouse instead of whatever animal he used to be, and changed his name to mickey.
19:00 Actually, the issue for Disney here is that Disney has to protect it’s trademarks and if it doesn’t do so it can literally lose the ability to maintain the sole rights to their characters. NOW, they could have given the establishments and individuals free but limited licence to do so, which is what I presume they have done in the past. This is presumably what Hannah Barbara did for the nurseries, because they are in the same boat. This is the same nonsense law that forced Saab to HAVE to sue Memsaab because of the similarity in the name. A fact that Saab was very clear to point out and tried to force a change in the law. And despite this, and how they actually paid the Indian food manufacturer for the case, they failed to force the change and the two companies had to go to court for it to be dismissed. Saab had to carry out two other similar court cases in Europe, in similar circumstances, and in both cases was accused of being ridiculous. But if you don’t try and protect your trademarks, you lose them and there are no exceptions.
Disney doesn't own Spiderman, Sony dies. Marvel sold the character to Sony before Disney bought Marvel. Disney has to "rent" the character from Sony to be in any of their Marvel movies. It wasn't a Disney decision, it was a Sony decision.
Why would Disney be upset about a daycare that has murals featuring their characters? If I were Disney - I'd be contacting the daycares to make sure they do it correctly - it's called free advertising to a captive freaking audience . . . . or am I wrong? Allegedly . . .
Followup - it reminds me of those idiots who flag music videos where a professional musician or sound/recording tech dissects a song . . . WTF? I would like to see the metric of people who have viewed such a video and then went on to either listen to more music from the same band or purchase their tracks and merch . . . FFS . . . .

My great uncle was a singer in a Disney movie (which you've probably seen) and Disney was always kind to him and helped him. He even paid for his burial rather than let him be buried in a potters field.
You know, I was like, it feels like it's been a few days since the last Blaze during the weekend, and now, we're getting tons of videos! Nice!
Danny has been whipped harder.
I LOVE the things that people think are scary based on how they felt about them as children.
Toilets, bathtub drains, darkness, and the closet are classics, but Simon's fear of the broom from Fantasia is great
2020 has been so long, that I didn't watch these for a month (Like to let them build up so I can binge) and felt super nostalgic for literally June.
This is some epic Blazin’ content right here.
All of the sudden the reason that Disney stores their videos in a vault makes sense
I applied to work at The Disney Store back in the early 1990's. I was told that I would have to wear a black skirt that would be part of my uniform. Then I was told I would be given a pair of black bike shorts so that no one could see my underwear. The skirt came down to my knees. Did not accept that job. Too weird.
You could’ve not worn the bike shorts and screamed “sexual harassment” if management tried to verify your uniform compliance
When I was in grade three (in 1992), my teacher had a Song of the South picture book she would read from every day. She even read us the t*r baby story while giggling about how terrible it was. I didn't understand at the time, but looking back I can't believe that happened.
Simon, Danny & Sam - Thanks for brightening my day!!
💌 Love from Oklahoma 💌
Sprinkling ’alledgedlies’ is super easy barely an inconvenience
i see what you did there :)
It's also legally defensible. That is why journalists use it all the time.
My Dad loves Disney and bought Fantasia when I was 5. I left the room crying maybe halfway through and refused to go back in until it was switched off and taken out of the vhs player. I’ve just realised I don’t remember ever even seeing the box again so I don’t know where they put it. I’m sure this movie is reason why I have recurring nightmares about being stuck in dark rooms and houses where the lights will not switch on no matter what I try to do 😳😭😔
“Yeah, they made a boo-boo.” I lost it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You've misplaced your hyphen, that was a boob-oo
Watching subtitles is totally under rated, Simon. It adds a great layer of humor. Like when you say “behemoth”, and the great RUclips gods type it out as “Bear moth”. You can’t get that level of accuracy (idiocy) anywhere else. I often imagine, if they can’t get english right, surely they have other languages mastered.
Damn new Toptenz AND Business Blaze on the same day... Better programming than anything playing in the U.S.
*Allegedly*
I'm from maidstone in kent uk and I've never seen Simon in the town in 27 years of living here it makes sense for the accent to sound normal
I see a blaze and I click best part of the day

Thank you Sam.
Every Disney thing has a damn dark side.
Disney only has one side and it's DARK.
What do you expect from the largest people trap ever built by a mouse?
Splash Mountain will soon be rethemed from Song of the South to Princess and the Frog which I am looking forward to
Please have Simon watch "Letter Kenny" on hulu. He has to see the comedic roots to the phrase " Allegedly".
I love how Simon does the sponsor reads..its not all buisness and boring like alot of other ppl. Good on you.love your shows simon.
6 minutes?! Man, am I EARLY! Unlike the diggers that were supposed to rescue Danny and Sam...
Coming in late to the party at 8mins after release 👍
They weren't late. The moment Simon saw the he knocked them out, striped them and locked them in the basement as food for Danny and Sam.
Danny is other persona.
How else would Danny and Simon have the same "thoughts" during every reading.
When Simon switches to Danny, he has no recollection of his many jobs he's done.
Like Jim Carey in Me, Myself and Irene.
@@minilea144 So your saying Simon has a split personality? That would make sense all things considered...
@@patricktomblin1998 Right? I've been saying this in more than one of his videos! At first I thought Simon was the captured victim. Then the consistency of them being on the same page gave me the epiphany I needed! I'm on to you, Simon/Danny!
Sudden spike in people googling "the rescuers nude"
South park teaches me everything I need to know about Disney
THE RINGS STAY ON!
Funerals are for the living, not the dead. The dead don't give a shit about whats on their tombstone.
Here before this got copyright claimed 💯💯
*Allegedly*
When the snooty cat and the courageous dog with the celebrity voices meet for the first time in reel 3, that's when you'll catch a flash of Tyler's contribution to the film.
I've never been this early. Hi Simon, Danny and Sam!
Hi Simon. Danny and Sam arent aloud to comment. They are too busy in the basement making edits to Simon's videos
@@DayZeroChannel they get to read comments for 30 seconds a day before the lights are turned off again.
Allegedly.
Yo yo yo
I'm always on the edge of my seat if the ad read goes through in the end
The things your internet provider will see when they pull up your account....
😂
Simon I've been trying to be more careful about when I hit the like button so I don't get too many 'off' recommendations from RUclips due to random things I may watch. But when I click one of your videos I hit the like button every time before it even starts.
Company's have to sue for their intellectual property or risk losing it. You should do a video about the US copyright system; it's messed up.
it totally is
I have heard it argued that the fact that they can continue to sue over uses of 50+ year old characters is one of the worst aspects of our system. Disney himself had a big role in lobbying to change our copywrite laws so he could keep rights forever and never allow them to go to public domain. Allegedly.

Nah man, the dark side of Phantasma is just the Beauty Underneath.
Someone should get that reference!
Sincerally
Eric
There are some omissions, like how Disney "awarded" the animators of the European team after the original animation "Mulan" saved Disney Productions, or the shameless rip-off of Tezuka's "Kimba" that was "The Lion King".....
I always knew they ripped off Kimba (from my childhood)! Never have seen lion king...its awful (commercials) and the songs are worse!
I’m from Maidstone, Kent. I remember that story- honestly that poor boy...
Allegedly . . .
Followup - it reminds me of those idiots who flag music videos where a professional musician or sound/recording tech dissects a song . . . WTF? I would like to see the metric of people who have viewed such a video and then went on to either listen to more music from the same band or purchase their tracks and merch . . . FFS . . . .
Business blaze idea: hilarious show trails. People getting killed and outrageous acts. Hit all the criteria to make a blaze
Ayyyyy been waiting for some new blaze!
Enjoy all this watch time Simon.
Sam is the unsung hero of business blaze. I also am willing to bet Simon's title from Danny is Business Daddy. It's gotta be rough in the basement.
#FREEDANNY
@@ginashemeth7708 how do we even know danny wants to be freed? Danny sounds like a kinky bitch
@@choc795 he certainly has had an interesting life..if the stories are true...but his eating habits *shudder* someone get that man a Fluffernutter sandwich!
Honestly Simon, the ads are fucking great, you make it entertaining so I'm really not bothered by them at all they are quite funny, have a wonderful day man 🤙
That intro made my lights go “off, on, off, on”.
JK
So YOU'RE the one guy who ever bought The Clapper...
You can definitely tell that Simon loves his job! Love the content
6:22 I love you Sam, that made me double take.
Well the segments are there! Niiiice, Disney
How long until you launch SimonTube? You’ve got enough content to start your own streaming platform. Maybe you’ll even be able to use some of the money to upgrade Danny and Sam from Basement to dungeon😂
It has been a little while since I watched Business Blaze as I had already binged the entire catalogue. I come back and I see a sponsor, and then I'm excited for them. Then I start to worry, as maybe they've toned it down. Nope. Still swearing and maybe getting copyright claims. I absolutely love it. Never change Business Blaze.
Edit: Then Simon absolutely riffs that sponsored segment.
I'm pre-liking this episode.
Yes, I already like it.
I saw Song of the South in theaters as a little kid here in Canada in the early 80’s and loved it.
Meanwhile my old daycare was literally covered head to toe in disney characters on the inside and even huge murals in the front
I know I'm super late to this but we had a few daycare/learning centers for kids just like two to be exact around here one was a daycare and one was like a learning center and they both decided to paint Disney murals and stuff like that and somehow Disney caught wind of it and threatened to sue them and shut down those places if they did not change the murals...allegedly. the businesses eventually changed all the characters

My employer under pays me and treats me terribly, too.
Me: You keep cutting half an hour off every cheque. I put in a full 8 hours per day.
My employer: allegedly...
Just wanted to say that your sponsor is frekin awesome. Took less than 2mins to complete the 3 simple registration steps. No money up front for at least 1 month and found an awesome documentary just 4 videos down their home page. Great 1st impression. I highly recommend anyone reading this to click on the link in the description and have a go.
P.s....Magellan t.v is seriously good. I’m keeping it forever. No cancellation after a month.
Sam cracking my shit up with the spicy memes, woke up both my housemates when the bipedal centaur popped up - chef’s kiss MUAH!
Sam, I soo wish you had used the meme of that child stumbles trying to say something while Simon was trying to pronounce that sweet hero kid's medical condition. And to that child, I know you are slinging webs around Heaven right now. ( I made myself cry while I wrote that ) 🙏⛅🕸️⛅🙏
Hi Simon.
I like how your bookshelf's lamp is wearing a Solo cup as a hat.
That is allegedly awesome.
Live long and prosper.
Simon, never forget: Darth Mouse is watching you.
I live for these videos!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Goofy distributing pubic lice to Minnie and Cinderella is an amazing mental image 😂
Imagine trying to explain that one to your other half and the STI clinic...
"Nooo honestly honey, it wasn't Darren the repair man who I was just helping after his pants fell down, it's from Goofy.. I swear" 🙄
There is a Walt Disney Elementary School in Anaheim, California that was unsuccessfully sued by Disney Corp: The school was established while old Walt was stll alive, and he gave them paperwork allowing them to use murals of any of his (then) existing characters to decorate their school.
