Are we all going to ignore how in the second game Alex moved the Queen from b5 to f8 completely ignoring that is the wrong diagonal instead of taking the Rook on d7 (which was on the same diagonal). It was still winning but still.

I don't actually think she meant to place the way she did. It was fringed between both squares, and Anna threw out the bishop on white, pushing the queen entirely back. I don't think it ever technically was on black, and they just didn't notice how the following play moved the piece lol

this is the most chaotic blitz game i have ever seen.
On the second blitz game, when you went for g4-g5 g:h6 then swap the black bishops (?) plan, that was like Totally Anti-Positional chess on your part.
You just made efforts to exchange your great bishop with that big pawn on g7, willing giving away your strong bishops pair, and allowing the offside black knight on h5 to enter the game via a dream square on f4, when he can never be kicked away..
Your mother won't like that one at all ...

En el minuto 17 y 45 segundos Anna se dejó mate en uno al mover Da7. Con Dxp mate. Alexandra Botez tampoco vio el mate en 1.
No pudo el mate ya que su dama estaba en jaque. Después de Alex mover la dama, Anna se defendió.
Que chulo el tablero, muy piscinero jaja ideal para ese lugar. Ponle flotador a los peones por si acaso, unos donetes a algo asi. :D

I don't understand the moves starting at 18:35. White moves her Queen leaving her rook unprotected from capture by Black's Queen. The Black's Queen, instead of taking the rook, passes right by the rook and moves to an illegal square so that she can protect her rook. This enables her to capture White's Rook a few moves later. How can this be?
This is known as a rook deflection..normally QxR but if the rook is backed up by a shark and two lemons he is able to resist the attack and the queen is deflected to the adjacent diagonal.

Winning positions though. Ask your father how he would convert. I often get winning positions too, but have trouble converting them aswell. Often I ownder about including the options to exchange the rooks for winning positions. Like a rook for the bishop pair, or a decisive mating attack.
