Guess how many churro pillows I bought? Also don't forget to check our website for planning advice to Tokyo Disney Resort including hotels and tickets! tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disney-resort/
You have to buy that Christmas sweater!! It will look amazing in flu!! And I’m going to ship that churro back to my home in Australia!! There’s no way I’ll be able to leave that store without buying it and having it shipped!! And I know exactly where to put it!! It will be mine. Oh yes. It. Will. Be. Miiiine
Honestly, I love you just giggling about the cute and silly things you see! 😆😆 I watched you before the world shut down and I'm still here watching and dreaming about getting to Japan one day. Thank you.
Yea the keys are a thing from the US Disney stores. They were apart of the opening ceremony. If you helped unlocked the store in the morning, they would give the guest a small key to take home. Then they became this collector thing. They would do them on birthday anniversaries or movie releases. Now Disney Store is running them into the ground but since we don't have much for stores left they're shoveling off our American Disney store merch to Japan.
Yeah, I kinda like not having to be there during store opening to get a free promotional key. Especially since half of those just ended up on eBay for crazy prices. During COVID, I got lucky and the stores that were closed couldn’t give theirs away, so my store ended up with them and sold them as normal products. The boxed keys that were considered regular products started off as being obnoxious to get like Cinderella, and yes, even Pluto, but later they were able to meet consumer demand and made plenty, now they can’t get rid of them. Sometimes my physical store will give me one for free just for buying something. The mystery boxes are stupid. People buy up multiple quantities in hopes of getting a full set. Who wants duplicates? So those do end up out of stock. And then there are the pin versions, because Disney knows they can milk fans for everything they got. The open ceremony key though. How I got mine was quite sad. I’ve been to an open ceremony before, but they picked a kid naturally, I don’t think they gave him anything, as this was before the keys. One time I arrived and was the only person there. They just opened it like it were some regular store. But again, this was back before the keys. But with all the Disney Stores closing, because it’s cheaper to make customers buy online than pay for retail space and staff, my store ended up with a bunch of these green open ceremony keys. I got one for free because I ended up buying a few boxed keys.
It's kinda sad you think Disney makes exclusive keys only for the US like Disney is a global community... and corporation aka they would never limit their financial gains 😶
@@melz4766 well… …they did make at least one exclusive key for Canada, and for a store in the UK, and another for Paris, so I wouldn’t put it past Disney to have a few US only keys. They had one for a store in NYC. At the moment now, they seem to have released a few in Japan that we haven’t got yet in the US. Japan stores got a mass release, which is great for people who want to combine shipping. In the US, where they decided to close most of their stores, Disney is all about releasing one a week in hopes that people will buy even more through multiple orders.
@@melz4766 Think what you want. There's is an over saturation point to anything. Disney has a track record of over flooding collectable items. Then they do poorly. They end up running things into the ground this way. See: Vynilmation, US tsumtsum, pook-a-loos. I'm in several groups were i see collector dropping like flies (quitting) because every two weeks they're dropping a new key. Not to mention the endless blind box keys that also detoured collectors after a while. Yes you're right a company can ruin anything in the name of greed but eventually they'll end up with a bunch of plastic keys that no one wants and thus will be a financial waste.
The thing about Tokyo Disney and their merch is that they use the same design and make different products of the same design like shirts, tpwels, notebooks, stationary, and your favorite, Chris, clear files. And I don’t mind that , actually. Its unique merch for a good look. They also do these kind of merch in major anniversaries is that they have Mickey in the previous major anniversaries. Also a good thing and very unique. Can’t wait for Tokyo Disneyland’s 40th anniversary merch in 2023!
The accessories for the Switch might be because Disney had a couple of very recent crossovers with Nintendo: - Nintendo put Sora from Kingdom Hearts in Smash Bros Ultimate (which was a super big deal in the gaming world, and he's the final character that was added, which was an even bigger deal) - and they're also releasing a new disney kids game on the Switch soon
We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in a family room in November. My son found the churro pillow at the hotel gift shop. So of course I got it for him. He has it on his bed. It's so freaking awesome.
CHURRO ~ i like churros especially the ones that are dip in sugar and chocolates. There's always room for sweets and desserts 😁😆 and no mistaking it, i always love their drawstring bags
Churro! As a food lover and as someone with friends who love Disney, this park looks like the perfect place for a trip. I'm hoping to plan a trip to Tokyo in a few years and when I go, this is definitely a place I want to visit. Cheers and have a happy New Year!
I'm with you on the switch. The thing is big enough without adding more bulk. Those 20th charms are gorgeous. Need to convince them to bring out Nuimos Duffy and his friends. The dinner sets are very hefty. I bought my daughter "Nightmare Before Christmas" a couple of years ago and needed a trolley to carry it. My son also got the Harry Potter one last year. The glass sets they are selling now are very heavy as well. So if anyone is thinking of ordering and shipping be aware of that. I'd worry about a CHURRO pillow. Imagine dreaming about being hungry in Disney and waking up full with no pillow left. 🤣🤣😂😂😂😂. Thanks again Chris for an awesome and fun vid.
I remember seeing someone at the California disneyland having that cute little pass holder. I looked it up n was a little heartbroken you can only get it from Japan. lol maybe one day 🙂
Yes!!! I get so amped to play these videos while I work. It's just so soothing, my girl and I love it. We watched tdr with a nice morning coffee and dessert.
The Disney store keys I believe are supposed to be small scale versions of the giant keys they use to open a Disney store in the morning (at the least in the US). The Disney stores here had opening ceremonies i believe each morning
Chris, you have made me excited for our trip to TDL/TDS in three days. It has been almost two years since our last visit. I will get that Christmas sweater if it fits me. Thanks for showing prices on everything.
As of writing this, ¥8590 is US$76.62! Spirit Jerseys are insanely overpriced IMO, and that’s when they were $69.99! They recently raised all spirit jersey prices to $74.99, because money money money! I was at Disneyland and found a blue Wishes spirit jersey from a year ago that had been marked up to the new price! A week later, I went to my local Disney Store outlet, and the same spirit jersey was there for $42! That’s how much all these spirit jerseys should be! I don’t think these will be a big seller in Japan. US merch is just way overpriced.
Pozy Plushy Outfits its also been used not just as a Tokyo Disneysea Outfit it also used in The Former show in the American Waterfront "Over The Waves"
Those mystery keys are a thing but sadly the Disney stores are dwindling so you have to buy them on Shop Disney... That event calendar is full of Disney keys very nice but can't justify the price
Love your commentary 😂 I don’t get these light up kids toys, oh wait I love it. mean girls vibes. Cultural tips. Feels like I’m shopping with you. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm 🥰also I chuckled just like you with the churro went around the store with it in hand about 3xs and put it back. After watching this maybe now I regret not getting it 😝 great Disney marketing
Love the Christmas merchandise! But ohhh how expensive they are! The hoodie costs like 8000yen? No way can I afford it. Also I noticed the some mickey & Minnie plush changed...? I mean the way their faces look. Seems a bit odd to me...looks like vintage style or some sort.

I love it when people said ‘imma buy this’ but after seeing the price ‘nope!’ And leave..hahaha coz same 😆
Right?!

Churro - I like that first Christmas sweater - I think that's an understated but classic design
Loved the Churro pillow!! My kids giggled at you apologising to Eeyore’s butt! 😂
Thanks for the awesome videos! #churro

The keys are popular in the states. I’m not onboard with that trend but I love spirit jerseys!
I *NEED* that Mickey Churro plush.
That sorcerer mickey cardigan! I want:)

CHURRO!!....Honestly I love how extra Tokyo is with their merchandise! && even just their overall appreciation for characters tbh
