Hey, my friend! Thank you for mentioning me :) I appreciate your support :) You are 100% right. So many creators use the SM7b just because it’s popular and it has a look that gives credibility. But every few know how to process the sound of that mic and know that you need a CloudLifter with great preamps and a lot of post-processing. The mic is great but for RUclips… you can achieve great sound with less work and money :) Great video!
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and also commenting! You are so kind. Oh very nice choice, sm7b is a great mic. If the mics are the same price, I think the sm7b would also be my choice! Unfortunately in most parts it is more expensive.
Yeah I realise that at this point and feel like an ass not using the mic. Something positive in my opinion is that atleast I included the audio samples. Nevertheless Thank you so much for your valuable feedback, it helps me do less mistakes and improve. I appreciate you took the time to watch my video!
Nice video, but... Why are you talking into a RODE mic during an SD-1 review? Rule 1 of mic reviews: Talk into the mic under review, not some unrelated microphone.
Thanks alot for your valuable comment and feedback! It is very important for me to learn more all the time and do things better. Actually i didnt even think about to use the sd1 since i am not a ”professional” reviewer. And I had the wireless mic connected already to my gopro which I recorded the video with. But next time for sure I will comply with rule number 1. Thanks again I appreciate the honest feedback!

You don't need the ClouLifter with e.g. the
Elgato Wave XLR (75 db gain) or the
4th gen Scarlett 2i2 (69 db of gain).
I use SM7B. Currently, in Korea, both are priced the same at 500,000 won.

I didnt hear big differences in the mic comparison. I think the sm7b was darkest. Maybe.
Thank you for your input!
Common sense should tell you to *actually use the microphone* throughout the review/demo.
