Great build. While the new BGs do have their own issues. The smaller arenas work well for the Templar play style because you want to be in your Sacred Ground(s). Adding A-Lancer set just benefits you even more. The Coldharbour Collesseum is my favorite new map for this play style. I had a group kill where Aetheric Lancer procced behind a pillar I was LoSing on. When the opposing team came to 4v1 me for the kill, I used Crescent Sweep and it procced the spear on top of that. The combined tooltip was nuts. Plague Break sounds like a good addition. But I want to try a Rangeplar with Snake in the Stars and Sloads using Dark Flare since there’s a ton of healers in BGs now after the MMR reset.
Yeah aetheric lancer can be incredible with a tightly packed group. Looking forward to trying the new BGs on console. I hope they fix the matchmaking problems before console launch
@ Everyone is running BGs right now. With the MMR reset it’s pretty chaotic. You’ll get a lot players who don’t want to die or prefer other play style because of the high skill ceiling. A really good example is a lot Cyrodiil healers joining the BGs. I fought 3 different healers in 3 separate BGs who weren’t all that good. But “by their powers combine” they all were on the same team in one BG. Whether they’re on your team or the opposing team it doesn’t really make for a fun match even with a back-and-forth. We had a healer on our team as well but they were a BG regular out healing the three together. 🙃
They should have a role function for 4v4 Solo Q like they do for Dungeon finder. If every team has 1 healer then it should be more stable. Dunno what they'd do with the tank role though since you don't need one in pvp
I play templar on PSNA. I rotate it in the armory between mag and stam builds. Lately having the most success with a ranged magic focused setup. Mostly playing bg's. I find with templar building I'm usually struggling to balance sustain and damage. Getting the comfy amount of one leaving me lacking the other.
Yeah Templar is in a funny place where it feels too far stretched. It's difficult to come back on the offensive if you are on back bar. I like range plar but missed jabs so have been playing around with this build
