Can you make a playlist on how to consume the WebAPI? Will be alot helpful on making a full website. And thanks for this playlist very helpful, really.
Damn Teddy givin me ideas early in the morning already lol.... So I've been going thru your videos just because... I already have plans for things I'm building.... and the first few minutes of this made me realize something..... Instead of just building my portfolio/blog website using asp mvc.... I could put the database and API entirely separate and then have the website call to the public API I make and populate the site that way =] boom lol probably going nuts, but i guess thats where i am in life lol
Hey Teddy, I watched and tried the whole series and when I now look back to it I see a logic mistake. You planned to make pokemon and owner to have many to many relationship but while we are creating a new pokemon we can't add the same pokemon as with different owner. Then it is not many to many anymore. One pokemon can have just one owner with this way.
5:02 I also prefer VS Code to Visual studio. Visual studio is so overloaded with functionality. Billion buttons and settings, and folder structure by default on the right side :)
Is that a condenser microphone? If so it looks like you’re talking into the wrong side of it which would noticeably affect sound quality. Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t know that model of mic… but usually you’re meant to speak into the side of it not the top. But it would explain some of the “room sound” echo you’re getting.
@@TeddySmithDev lol I glanced through the comments and didn’t see any mentioning it so thought I would. Sorry it was something you’d already heard a lot, I didn’t know.
hello, im trying to find your authentication and authoraziation serie, have you created it yet? gonna work through ur testing but really liked all your videos, i have finnished em all. Couln't find autherization or authentication.. have you implemented it yet?
I love when someone says "You don't need Postman" when you have swagger. Lets be real, people are going to use Postman either way, just because of the UX and other things that are better about Postman.
true, another thing is explaining concept of postman to new people is a waste. better for people to use swagger, learn the concept, and use postman after.
@@TeddySmithDev true As a developer I enjoy using Postman since i can setup environment variables and also change them with a few lines of code in the request "tests" tab, also the console helps. I just love Postman for these things. I make Swagger and Postman docs on my project, Postman for myself and Swagger because its an OpenAPI spec and its good to have it for legacy.
If anyone starting this playlist it's not at all for beginners.. first learn some basic about Web API else u'll get confuse & doesn't understand anything or u already have some idea just go for it
Finally someone that can break things down like a real human being.
Yeah these analogies are awesome man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tell me about it. Half the dotnet devs on reddit are super A-holes when you ask a question.
its reddit, everyone on it is a jobsworth, best to stay far away from it. @@jaymartinez311

thanks for the tutorial mate...I have a question though, did you design the UML diagram yourself? As I am interested in learning how to create one.
You can go to app.diagrams.net/. It's a pretty good product and has all types diagrams for tech.

yeah, nobody has mentioned anything breaking or code not working as of 2024
Hey Guys, is anyone not able to access the swagger UI page?
Excuse me, where do I find the database?
Hey, how different is .NET 7, can i follow along using it?
Almost no difference, but I've got a brand new .NET 8 version I'm working on now ruclips.net/p/PL82C6-O4XrHcNJd4ejg8pX5fZaIDZmXyn&si=YqBa44J8GgsfNgHt

You’re fine but you can set it to https in settings.json if you don’t want warning
hello, im new with apis, im using Vs2022 and i did all the steps but when i debug the api the browser doesnt open
Click the arrow on debug button and mess with the browser settings
@@TeddySmithDev thanks for the answer but i just had to update the VS, the Vs was not showing me the available update
how much configuration would I need to get started on a mac?
Almost none. Best thing would be install Visual Studio on Mac and you’re all set 👍
