This was part of the BBU competition on Sxin and Chezame's channel (pronounced Shz-am), where competitors were given "basically" free reign to create whatever song they wanted in video format (very minimal rules) matched up against an opponent. There was only one round each. And this was Den's vs Zero. Den went all the way to the finals against hiss, and unfortunately lost. He had an incredible run.

Again, Im 100% here for the beat boxing content. The beatbox united battles are a good way to see quality audio/video battles that are of course organized by Chesame and Sxin. Keep going down the rabbit whole, and I promise there will be even more enlightenment for hip hop.

Dude I'm just at the start where BP mentions wanting to learn the 2 layers and it reminded me of watching some beatbox and learning of a guy who set a record for how many sounds at one time set and I think at that time it was 7bdifferent ones at once. This amazes me so so much how much of a talent that so difficult can be. I love seeing what we as humans can be capable of doing. Phenomenal

So if you like hype Den has a dope ass round against hiss, its a drill beat stupid hype with all the beatbox champs in the backround hyping him up. Its called HISSTORY. And me personally, I'm sort of an old head in the beatbox community, been here so long I've seen some of my techniques being used by top class beatboxers, which is totally awesome to see. But I've heard you say you'd love to see someone beatboxing at a club just rocking a crowd of non beatboxers, and I was going through some old Reeps one videos, and if don't know him he is the reason why I, and other top class beatboxers, like sxin and chezame, D-Low, B-art, and many more started on this journey. Some of my favorites have to be Rave Monster FT. REEPS ONE (UNCUT - PART 2), REEPS ONE // AMERICAN BEATBOX CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 // WEBSTER HALL, NEW YORK // CROWD PERSPECTIVE, and Reeps One - Different Ultimate Drop (FULL SHOWCASE). And if you're a beatboxer and haven't watched these this is why everyone loves old reeps one, he simple, high energy, he knew how to control a crowd, and all of these are still masterpieces more beautiful than anything I've heard to date. They symbolize the underground and another little nugget of gold is Reeps One x Secret Wars - Bournemouth final 2011, and the video that started it all for me was Reeps One from England - Interview - Beatbox Battle TV. Love the stuff y'all are putting out, if I see you guys uplooad a video first thing I do is boot up the laptop and get my headphones or if I'm at work I play it on the BT speaker on the jobsite, love you guys and big ups from me and the beatbox community. What sets Den apart is that he is musical (has an ear for the correct notes),
in that he can "play the bass" in key.
Every note makes musical sense and musically correct.
Sxin= (Sin) chezame =(Shazam). They are two German beatboxers who have a RUclips channel together and are a major reason beatbox is getting so popular via RUclips. They're like a late night show for beatbox. Both are amazing beatboxers and and they were the creators of the BBU

Anytime I would beatbox for someone they'd be like oh shit have you seen Pentatonix, it;'s the rapper equivalent of being a white boi and rapping fast and being compared to Eminem lol. But there is beatbox crews which is 4 beatboxers in one group, and there's dous. But my recomondations for you is IF ONLY, on Hiss's channel, with Alexhino (french champ, world beatbox champ, and 7 to smoke champ) River (french champ, GBB champ) Colaps (French champ, GBB Vice champ, you should check him out he's insane) and, HISS (youngest GBB champ, and he remixes beatbox into fully processed songs, and makes some dope ass tracks)
dont be so hard on your self man. be prepared for a long process, alot of ups and downs, alot of plateaus. but over all amazing gratitude
Keep bbxing, never Stop, it will Sound good after some time. It May even take years, just have fun with it, search for tutos it helps alot, but first get the basics down. Kick sounds strong allready.

I have a massive list of Beatbox performances that blow this out of the water. Including this performance if you search up Wawad's cover of this, it's pretty much the two of them side by side and it's ill. But if you want me to give you links to the sickest beatboxing performances, I would love to help pass on the love of beatbox. I been a fan since Aesop, Dougie Fresh, Rahzel but I have kept with it. The artform is truly beautiful. The BBU was an Online Beatbox contest ran by Chezame and Sxin of the former Group Oni-Chan in 2022 so Beatbox Battle Online United aka BBU was incredible and allowed for production value because they paid the entries who were selected. Alot of the newest videos that allowed beatbox a platform was because of those two. so the vs. Is the two contestants. (IE the line in Dens performance about Zero in the song was a nod to the person they battled Zero.) I hope this helps ^^ 1=2

BP I watch a channel you are familiar with Anthony Ray and he also has been doing some of the beatbox reactions and dude I've been amazed that he really has a great talent at this if you watch some of his. I never knew until he did some reactions and displayed it. It kinda took me back as I told him I think he may have missed his calling really he truly has potential I never knew of until he actually did it.

As a good beginner beat try doing “B t t t k t t B t t B t k t t t” and just loop it from there. It’s a good way to work on your transitions in between sounds and develop the muscles in your mouth to be able to do more complicated stuff. Beatboxing is a journey and nobody is too old to learn! Keep on rocking it and you’ll get better bro.
Also, the two layers thing you’re talking about, it’s simple. Instead of making the beat with the normal BTK sounds and your breath, you use strictly your lips and tongue. So your B is going to be almost like a small b. Since it’s just your lips creating the force for the sound it’s much less punchy compared to a full B. The ts are pretty much the same as normal. For the k, it’s a bit different. Some people use a spit snare (the clap sounding one) or a ph snare which is taking a normal B and then immediately switching to an F sound without the vocalization. A good way to learn it is to say the work Buff and then remove the u to get Bff. Then make the B punchy like a kick. It will probably still sound a little weird but once you have that sound down you need to practice directing the sound through a smaller exit to create the snappy snare sound. Continue doing the BFF sound while making your lips tighter and change your mouth shape around. You should be able to find the spot where it sounds most like a snare. (This one sounds remarkably similar to a real snare drum so compare to that). Finally for the 2nd layer on top of the beat, it’s a simple as humming a melody. That’s why we’re making sure we’re doing our beat with our lips so that way we can save the vocalization for the melody.
