I really need to pay way more attention. Dirt was just dirt until I heard the Brassmaster inspired fuzz. Sounded GREAT, but I had no practical application. This video, however really demonstrates that there’s dirt, and then there’s this super, high quality dirt. I must step up my game. Thank you, Mr Rizer.
I think I have a new favorite fuzz. The real testament to the dynamics of this pedal is that it sounds so good with an envelope. Most dirt I got to try with an envelope was just a mess. Then again, mostly terrible 20$ guitar pedals I borrowed from my friends.
Also: the filter on this seems to work a lot like it did on the EQD Fuzz Master General, except I think in reverse-- down was mid heavy and crunchy, up was scoopy and deep.
Coming back to this comment after a year, I'm not sure why I said that... but that being said, now that I come back to and re-understand the EQ controls on this, it actually seems quite smart. I have an opportunity for a secondhand Fenris and I think I'm gonna jump on it.
I bought this pedal on the basis of this video. Its a bit expensive, but fun to play and will give you a lot of high quality usable sounds. Its very organic and alive, and it really dosnt sound brutal as some fuzzes do, its your warm and friendly neighborhood fuzz. It you just want to destroy some ears and burn down the venue, this might not be for you.
@@khalylehagood3222 i ended up returning the pedal. I made a loud pop every time I turned it on. Bought a Jam Pedals Rattler and a Red Muck instead. Better !

Brassmaster style pedals are WAY more useful if you use a blender
Nice demo! I love how Fjord Fuzz is starting to make waves outside Norway these days!
I love your vids so much Zach!
Awesome demo!
I sometimes struggle to find pedals demos for bass and this one sold me the Fenris and your channel!
Thanks a lot

Awesome pedal. One of my favorite pedals you've ever demoed!

Very nice!! Thanks
@Zachary Rizer are you going to be keeping this one? If not I would totally be interested

Hey.Zack.
Which Bass Instrument cable do you use?
Greetings from Germany 😊

Another pedal maker using PCB board for the cover. Iron Ether already had some out. Why not, probably cheaper than screen print or powder coating

Does having the octave at noon rob you of any bass?

@@kaspersgaard4931 which is a shame, I really want that octave.
Do you find it to be as harmonically rich as the 3leaf Doom or Doom 2?
Zach: can on add one dirt pedal, this or the BEAD? Thanks!
@@ZacharyRizer Had to ask as I watched those videos back to back! Appreciate the info and the awesome videos as always. I’m going with a Fenris
This little ditty sounds absolutely nasty. I wonder how it sits in a mix?
