Can't really argue with your assessment there. And I happen to pretty much agree with the entire review. I'm a Glock guy and I'm way more used to shooting Glocks they're just a little more comfortable and I feel at home when I'm shooting one but this new Springfield Echelon is a game-changer I don't think I've ever shot a Glock near as fast as I was able to shoot the echelon on my very first trip to the range. I put 300 rounds through it and felt like I wanted to keep going all day I was tearing the center out of the target using just the iron sights. But you are right about Glock being more proven over the years.. but besides the track record and the aftermarket availability that's about the only thing that Glock has over the echelon LOL
Been a 1911 person for forty five years but realize Glocks do have their place. A while back I ordered four of those new Glock performance triggers for the Gen 5's. Wow, never really cared to shoot the Glock's much because of the trigger, but that new trigger took it down to 3.5 lb pull. Wow, and at $100. what a deal, AND it's an original part.
Great review. I appreciate the fact that you ran both guns almost exactly the same, and ran the same drills. This was a very fair comparison. You’re 💯 correct about reliability, Glock is a true winner.
That's some good Gawd Damn shooting..... I died. When you call it the Springfield emissary... Reminds me of one of my old father-in-law.. He used to call me whatever name come to mind as long as it was close 😂😂😂😂
In the last slow motion segment your draw was about perfect 👍 it obvious you out the work in on and off the range. Great review, I’m subbing because of it.
I’m going to go against the gain on this one it’s truly not a good comparison based on your feelings. In you a car for 10 years can change the oil on your own and everything else vs a new car that you drive for 10 minutes. Your going to keep the old car because you know what you have, but doesn’t make it a better car. I run those drills your an advanced level shooter your misses were a half inch high on damn near everything. The fact you pull that gun out the box and run it damn near as your 10 year old Glock Said’s everything!! I’ll go with the echelon lighter, faster and that’s a 20 round magazine sir. Great shooting!
I picked up the Echelon and had it at the range this weekend, on the second mag through it the optic started coming off of it, screws backed out, and I used the ones that came with the Holosun 507C which is what they said would work. It didn’t and it just kept coming loose.
@@neo-mt9mn I alway use loctite when installing an optic, this is the first time I have ever had an issue with any firearm that I have one on. And I have seen at least one other person mention screws coming loose.
Hate to hear that. Only two things I can think of; lock tight didn’t have time to cure or torque value wasn’t high enough. Other than that I’m surprised. Hope you work it out and keep me informed
@@neo-mt9mn generally always blue, since I don’t want it permanently attached. I think the screws are just coming up short. Over leaving us the consumer guessing.
With what you get for the money the Echelon is a much better deal. Glock is still lagging behind in features per dollar. Reliability is great, but people aren't buying more and more guns for reliability
I’d pick the Echelon..much more features out the box than a Glock..Don’t want to have to spend another $200-300 to get the Glock to where the Springfield is out the box
@@Asidebar so if you want/need an optic, night sights, better grip on the slide for those with issues to rack it, etc those aren’t needed?? You don’t know what a person’s individual needs are…only a Glock fanboy thinks like that
Good shooting. Question: do you know you lean pretty hard to the right when your gun goes dry and you drop the mag right before doing the reload? Might shave some time off that reload keeping the gun in front of you.
Agreed. I have to move my right hand so my mags don’t fall into a pit right in front of my feet. That’s why I move my right hand so much but I do agree with you.
I tried to become a Glock fan. I wanted to, so I bought the 19x. On range day, I tried the 3 different magazines that came with it and I could not get through a full magazine without having to clear it. I even switched the ammo and same, not going into battery or stoppage every few rounds. I switched guns (to the X macro) using the same variations of ammo and had zero issues so couldn’t have been the ammo. Maybe I’ll give Glock another try and pick up the 43X, but as of now not a positive experience with my Glock at all.
ok i owe u 1 big im sorry! ran bolth my colt le se70 again 1st when not useing brand new wc mags problems now even when using new ones ftf meny times imust really rack it very fast / dont get it ? they ran like champs 1st time over 4 5 hundred rds. i love my old colts so i tend to stick up 4 them way 2 much in 82 we had colt 1911s and sw revolvers and alissued colt carbines they were great back then .any way i will keep my big mouth shut when it comes 2 production 1911s sorry!!!

100% agree! That trigger is worth every penny. I thought about doing a review on it but it’s kind of hard to review a trigger.
@@glocksrock1 You should do it, I'd watch it!
Great comparison video!!! So crazy watching you guys shoot these high capacity pistols with 10rd mags!!!😫
Love your videos. You do some of the best reviews on RUclips.
Thanks!
Great video, and I absolutely understand and agree about running the Glock. I've had a bunch, and they always run.

I noticed in the slowmo with the SA for a faster time, send the slide home while pressing out.

I'm definitely gonna get me an echelon after that I'm done buy polymer pistols I'm getting all the custom 2011s I can save up for
