Havent watched the movie. But will say that we need to move away from emotional knee-jerk reactions like "capital punishment for rapists." Do you know how wrong this is on so many levels?
Our society is suffering today bc these human rights NGOs hold disproportionate powers in our society n shape our thinking. Some of them may be well-meaning, but they don't think 2-3 steps ahead to to calculate the pros and cons of such hasty actions.
For example, things wrong with capital punishment:
1) 90% of rape accusations are false n done for monetary gain/revenge.
2) Even those convicted arent guaranteed to be guilty as we all know indian judicial system sucks n very easy to give false testimony n make-up evidence.
3) There are 1000s of cases which are reversed in the west today due to better technology (i.e. DNA) Those are 1000s of innocent peoples who would otherwise have falsely spent life in prison.
4) With capital punishment, You take away the possibility of reversing such mistakes, that is why capital punishment is only restricted for the most severe of the crimes.
5) Passing such a law sends wrong psycological message to the society. It makes people believe (wrongly) that rape is rampant in society. Reality is there is an epidemic of false cases in society.
6) Thinking a few steps ahead - If a lot of people believe rape is rampant, it will reduce foreign tourism n investment in the country. Leading to actual unemployment, more depression n suicides in the country.
There are many ill effects of such a move if you think calmly. But Indian movies are getting in the habit of having quick, one step solution to complex problems and this is bad for the society. It is dumbing down the intelligence of the people.
Movies only talk about Feminism and Rape, but no movie talks about False Rape cases where lives of many innocent men are destroyed

No Movie talks about Punishment for these type of girls
Only Shinchan Movie Robot Dad talks about Men Rights and Commission of Men's Rights
