My First Time To MegaCon Orlando 2023!

- On the first day of MegaCon, I drove to the Orlando County Convention Center on International Drive, and after parking at the West Concourse and making my way over to the North/South Concourse, redeemed my pre-purchased ticket and finally walked onto the convention floor! I explored around the various sections of the convention using my map for guidance, and tried to walk around as much as possible in search of particular anime collectibles, plushes, clothing, and other general merchandise before MegaCon closed for the day and I walked all the way back to my parking spot in the West Concourse. This was a fantastic first trip to the event, and I can definitely see myself indulging in cosplay, meeting a celebrity, and buying more stuff! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!
My first Megacon was 2012 when I was 19. My last was Megacon 2015 because its wayyy too big but my little bro (19) went for his first year this year. I love seeing the coverage. Im glad you had fun, Roy!
It's definitely overwhelming, and I don't know if I could handle the Saturday crowds that I saw on social media. It seems like (if there isn't a specific celebrity to meet) then the best idea to get there early and try to prioritize merchandise and collectibles!

I most definitely did haha. What was interesting that I didn't mention is that they weren't charging for parking when I got to the West Concourse. I'm mot sure if that was due to the time of day or the distance, but it saved me $30 that (along with the cheap price for the first day) went into a couple items I bought!
Hey Roy - we were actually set up at Megacon. You spent time at our booth also. We were the ones in your video that had the tubs of plushys and the tubs of figures on the table. We also do horror shows & wll be at Spooky Empire starting May 19th. We'd love for you to stop by.
Your booth was fantastic! Plushes and figures are (clearly) my favorite things at conventions apparently, haha. I wish I got to spend more time looking around but I had about an hour and a half to explore as much as possible. I've never been to Spooky Empire but I've heard so much about it!
I’ve never been to one! I will have to see if they have anything like this in Phoenix. It looks pretty fun!!
You should! I've never really experienced a convention like this before, but after Collect-A-Con I felt comfortable with the OCCC and was excited to see how it compared/differed!
