Wow. I am blown away with the serendipity ths crazy world continues to offer. 3 weeks ago I sold my backdated 964 as it was gettting toooo risky $ wise, as the values are still going nuts and it was a stunner, if I say so myself. I decided a 2022 Macan GTS would be nextfor me, however after test driving and being very impressed with the further updated PCM...nice and the thing flew...incredible, which i had seen on YT Straight Pipes channel. However, whilst the performance exceeded expectations, it didnt excite me and with 25% improvement and a whopping NZ$150,000 premium needed and I just couldnt justify, with that being my everything drive. After having owned a Diesel Macan before, i knew they were great drives, but not as your everything car. So, my brain took a different track and after already owning a 2003 986S Manual and knowing what a great handler and drive that was........PIVOT........I then found a 2015 Macan S Diesel fully loaded looking sharp as in Black as my run around/trailer wearer ;) and within days, I also traded my 986S up for a 2016 Black 718 Boxster S, and have this as my Sunday whip and occasional track day with that CRAZY Buton incl with Sport Plus :) Happy Days and No regrets on sale of 964. Both great cars, just use CarPlay its better than PCM IMHO ;)
I have driven both these vehicles and to my mind they both present their specific benefits. The diesel feels faster because its torque kicks in early way before the petrol spools up its HP but the petrol is faster on the track. Also the diesel front is heavier which is noticeable but relevant only if you are racing the car. For general city driving the petrol is better but long distance I would go for the diesel. Both have same fantastic double clutch transmission which is the best thing about this car. The biggest letdown is the steering which comes nowhere close to 911
Not much difference in anything, obviously petrol will be faster once outside legal limits, same for fuel diesel be bit better , but petrol much more tuneable So depends what you want

Big cars like this I prefer a torquey diesel unless it's the highest model
Maybe you guys could make a publicly available document with the 30-70 times? Enjoy your videos a lot, you deserve many more views!

Pumping out the content mate, keep it up. Just keep grinding, maybe a daily life video some day or more about you?
Which engine would you get more miles/life out of, petrol or diesel? I’ve heard that diesel outdoes petrol engines in terms of engine life?
Is that diesel ok? That seemed very slow considering it can do 0-60 in less than half a second more than that time.
Macan diesel doesn’t come with the new design wide touchscreen like in your video does it?
Nice video. Agree with you, diesel will never have that fun feel you get with petrol. But the improvements over the years have been amazing.
Do one with the 3 series with the m340i vs m340d... Would be interesting to know the real life performance differences and fuel economy

Is it possible that in the next video you could link the 30-70 times spreadsheet so the viewers can see the whole leaderboard, would love to see it.
Leaderboard will be coming soon.
Can you make you please try make a review on the 120d or 125d?
If we get one i'll review it.
@@ParagonCarsLondon thank you 🙏
The U.S. does not promote Diesel cars which is a shame. They only push EV's on people.
Same in Europe
The new Macan is only avaiable in EV, old style in petrol and diesel phased out years ago
not impressed with your detail, weight differance is 15kg, are thay specked the same, stick a chip on the diesel
