I love how Dr Janine gets right to the point , no verbal filer. You don't have to listen to 20 mins before getting to the point. You are the best. Thank you so very very much.
The great chemist, Linus Pauling, twice a Nobel laureate and winner of numerous awards and honours, is considered one of the greatest scientists ever. Alternative medical practitioners, particularly those advocating high-dose vitamic C, love to point out that Linus Pauling used mega doses of vitamin C daily, over 20g a day in fact, for many years, and he creditedn his good health at an old age to this vitamin. But what these practitioners don't say or know is that Linus Pauling used plain old synthetic ascorbic acid. Many health practitioners have little actual knowledge of science and keep making fundamental mistakes and promote wrong ideas. There's a misconception about "natural" vs lab-made supplements. Other than stereo or mirror isomers, chemicals behave exactly the same way or produce the same effects regardless of how that chemical was produced, ie whether extracted from "natural" sources or produced synthetically. Put in another way, a molecule is a molecule, regardless of its origins. The only exception is isomers - mirror images of molecules. The other misconception propounded by some health practitioners is that a naturally sourced vitamin is not only more complete and superior to a synthetic version, but that the synthetic vitamin is harmful or depletes your body of nutrients. The truth, as said before, is that both vitamins perform exactly the same, given the same conditions. The only caveat is that ALL vitamins work synergistically with other nutrients in vivo. Also, most vitamins often require co-factors in order to carry out their functions. A "natural" vitamin C, for example, may have these co-factors in place already - bioflavonoids, copper, and the enzyme tyrosinase. Synthetic vitamin C is pure ascorbic acid. But this does not mean that the synthetic vitamin C is useless. In and of itself ascorbic acid offers important physiological and immuno protection to the body. And whatever co-factors it needs, it gets them from the person's diet. Yet another misconception is that everything natural is good, and everything synthetic is bad. Wrong again. Regarding folic acid, for a subset of the population, it may be harmful because these people cannot effectively convert folic acid to the more biologically active forms, such as methylfolate. But many people still derive benefit from folic acid. As for B-complex, most people would benefit from taking a B-complex, even synthetic. The only caveat is that for a subset of the population that has low methylation capacity, folic acid and the cyanocobalamin form of vitamin B12, are useless, even somewhat harmful. These people would need methylated forms of these 2 vitamins.

Ascorbic Acid is a mild acid. Also, I often have a small amount (from 1 teaspoon to 1tablespoonful) of apple cider vinegar with meals. These acids (Ascorbic Acid and apple cider vinegar) help with digestion and breakdown of proteins in the stomach and absorbtion of minerals. However, your correct an acidic mouth can destroy tooth enamel and contribute to cavities. Solution : Immediately after finishing your meal brush teeth with toothpaste or at the least rinse out mouth with plenty of water (preferably with a pinch of baking soda dissolved) and spit out the water. This will de-acidify the mouth. Ideal situation - the oral cavity, alkaline - the stomach acidic during and immediately after a meal. Also, the preferred form of folic acid to take as a supplement is Not folic acid, but methyl folate.

Also, good to know my mama, when I was a little boy with a "chest cold," would "shmear" my chest with "Vicks Vapor Rub" ( made from turpentine ) and put a handkerchief over the stuff and send me to bed. It's a wonder I made it past my mid-70s.
Ya it is a wonder, but being you have I guess it really wasnt that bad for you !
@@vroomgc I appreciate your comment and have to say that you replied exactly as a scene in the movie "Kindergarten Cop."... The drugstore scene towards the end of the movie... parallel concepts. My brother got the same treatment but he's dead at 62.
ROF-LMAO

Not everyone can take methylated vitamins. I have MCAS and histamine intolerance and methylated vitamins give me a racing heart and severe insomnia.
The type of B vitamin in this vitamin is the best for absorption and tolerance for everyone. 😊

Eat a healthy diet and you won't have to worry about all that nonsense
@@veganlifestyleloveanimals1744 the thing is not everyone can eat nutritious toods because of health constraints especially the senior ones. Like for ex. cruciferous veggies are good but not for those with high uric acid so supplements are needed.
@@victoriaaletaaustria2817 When you have a healthy diet you no longer have high uric acid. Which is why men with gout issues are told to switch to wholefood plant-based. High uric acid you want to stay away from meat and seafood. Cruciferous veggies are not the issue.
*EXCELLENT* information. It’s sad how many people don’t understand how harmful synthetic vitamins can be to the body. ❤
Yes there is no shortage of ignorant people these days.
@@no_country_for_real_men Unfortunately the ignorance is planned and executed by experts.
Otherwise we'd have Dr Janine Bowring on TV instead of the Carcrashians .
That is what the MSM propaganda is in place for: to ensure that the Rockefeller/Rothschild Depopulation Agenda proceeds without too much resistance...
Thank you so much for sharing. Which form of supplements is the best? Powder form?
Powder is much cheaper, 3x, than capsule-form. Take natural ingredients, like vitamin C from fruit-powders: Acai, Aronia berries, Camu Camu...not the synthetic Ascorbic Acid. The flavonoids in fruits raise the ORAC(anti-oxidizing power) of vitamin C by 52 times!
Thanks for the great info! Can you please recommend some good brands of multivitamins to take? I think it is hard to know what brands are trustworthy and what exactly does a "wholefood" vitamin mean? where woud you buy one and can you show an example? Thank you!
You can find a variety of whole food supplements at health food stores. I personally purchased my supplements on Amazon. After reviewing and researching Garden of Life is one of them. Peak Performance is were I bought my vitamin c.
Retired Medical Service Corps Officer, U.S. Air Force here - I can't believe I'm hearing this on this vid!!!!!!! Wow!
Why? Let us know please.
A folate is a salt of folic acid. Nutritionally they are pretty much the same. I'm not a nutritionist; I'm a chemist.
Thank you very much. I take a raw B-complex from Garden of Life. It is plant based. Stay safe everyone.
I'm going to buy that one. It's a good one, according to my health food store's staff
Thankyou for the info I am going to order Garden of Life B complex
Nestle owns Garden of Life. Their are other whole food vitamins but do the research.
@@111qp2 For the reason that some of these supplement companys are selling out to maga corporations - I think it's very important to have a natural/health food store
that keeps tabs on these companies once they're sold to the corporations & that is willing to stop selling the products, if they don't maintain the original integrity & quality. Mama Jean's, our local health food store does still carry Garden Of Life, but they're very diligent in keeping them honest.
Proctor & Gamble acquired New Chapter around 10 years ago. Mama Jean's still carries their brand also.
Several years ago, when Kraft bought the company that made Boca
burgers, crumbles, etc., Kraft would no longer guarantee that it would continue to be non GMO. Mama Jean's stopped carrying Boca products.
I have good relationships with several health food stores. It was my personal decision to stop using Garden of Life and NewChapter. I was very disappointed with the change in ownership of both companies. Jordan Rubin was founder of Garden of Life but sold it and is currently in partnership with Dr. Josh Axe Ancient Nutrition. I continue to do research and speak with health experts.
My B-Complex are Methyl Pro and Metabolic Maintenance which has Folate. Camu Camu Juice powder has natural vitamin C + Polyphenols. Dr. Bowring it is thanks to information like yours that helped me replace supplements that are not the best for my body. And better yet, I am taking a closer look at the ingredients on all the supplements and foods. Thank You!

There's a lot of American "Drs" against the use of a vitamin B complex yet don't give sufficient reasoning to why
Hi Dr ,why they recommend folic acid to pregnant women when they are so bad
Ascorbic acid is ascorbic acid. The vitamin c present in nature like in citrus fruits etc. is literally the same thing as the synthetic ascorbic acid. They have the same bioavailability. If the effects u are describing in the video are true then same effects should be observed from citrus fruits
I can't agree with the b-complex. You need to so a better explaination. I take a Solgar B -100 complex for 20 years and have great numbers.
Good information....it might help to not not stand right in front of the list, ...but to the side. Just a suggestion.
Also, giving information on WHAT TO TAKE instead would be helpful.
Easier said than done. I don't think most people have the time or the money to make sure they are getting everything they need from food.
Thanx Do. for waring us not to take these Vitamins.I was using them but after you have told us about the dangers of using such Vitamins i have stopped using them.I promise to throw them away.
Isn't folic acid the same vitamins and minerals they give you when pregnant? They always say find a prenatal vitamin with folic acid in?????
Interestingly enough, this woman likely is not a medical doctor. Naturopathic practitioners are often just required to pass some exams but they don't usually study for years on end. It could be days, it could be weeks instead, depending on the state and regulations.
With Gods Mercy synthetic ascorbic acid saved my life. Anyway thanks 🙏.
ain't no god and if there was he sure ain't merciful.
If you criticize what not to take, why not advice what to take, make a very long list from every brand that meets your criteria.
Thank you. Which vitamins B and C are reasonably priced and are good for you? There's so many brands and I know some aren't as good as others. Thanks again

Hi, can u suggest any natural supplements for focus, concentration, stress... Please
Try B Complex with at least 100 mg per B in the complex.
Hey I really think you should do “honest (insert trending supplement here) review”
Recently I’ve been looking for Bioniq honest reviews, couldn’t find any. I think your channel could skyrocket. You’re very good at talking to the camera etc.
Came here to defend B complex, I had angular cheilitis and not one doctor/dermatologist could tell me why. B complex got rid of it, turns out it's vitamin B deficiency.
This is the channel i needed. Does she tell us the brands that dont have junk?
GREAT VIDEO DOCTOR. I'M 57, FROM INDIA. WHENEVER I TAKE THESE 3 SUPPLEMENTS, I GET REALLY SICK. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT I HAD A PROBLEM, OR WHY SHOULD I GET SICK FROM A HEALTH SUPPLEMENT. NOW, YOUR VIDEO VALIDATES MY SUSPICIONS.
THANKS
Try looking into MTFHR gene mutation. It might give answer to your situation
😂
Yeah, exactly, you are sick because you take those vitamins 😂
Complex problem, simple solution. It must be right 🤣
be as close as possible to nature.that is the master word.nature.
So, for ascorbic oxide for example, what is the problem if it is extracted chemically, this is not clear.
Just because you can chew it and it can damage teethe?
If something is chemically extracted, does not automatically mean, this is bad
Same for this fillers, are there indications, they can be damaging you?
Do you have studies that support your statements?
To be fair, some doctors may prescribe these supplements so it doesn’t always mean you can’t avoid them, just talk your physician about them and consult on their use .
I am in Europe, could you recommend any B vitamin supplements that are not synthetic? I know you recommend getting it from whole foods, but I would like to know if there are any known supplements that are sourced from whole foods (not synthetic). Thank you.
Looked ant numerous brands and I can't find any vitamin C that doesn't say "as ascorbic acid" on the label.
@teamdrj9: Hi check out, @vitatree Organic Vitamin C this whole food vitamin maintains healthy cells & immune system. It also contains quercetin & citrus bioflavonoids to help improve absorption.

Why do some folate supplements say “methyl” folate as opposed to just folate?
So.... what multi vitamin doesn't have those in them

How do we heal a sliding hiatal hernia, acid reflux, and prevent the progression of diverticulosis?
Quit all animal protein and refined food.
Eat a diet high in soluble fiber.
Buy Non-GMO products whenever possible (organic when you can). I've read that people who began to eat only Non-GMO foods became much healthier. *All organic foods are automatically Non-GMO. Check under the ingredients or the UPC. I eat this way as much as possible and I've been feeling much better.
High fiber diet like lots of oats, almonds etc.. I have Gerd as well and that has worked out for me.

Oats is an excellent source of soluble fiber. And nuts contain good fats and fiber.
Small meals, don't lift anything heavy after meals, go to sleep minimum 2 hrs after eating. Press with your fingers on the stomach region and pull it down gently. Water trick also is beneficial. Check 'water jump hiatal hernia' on YT.
Thank you, Janine 🏆

If you are having swollen gum, and are bleeding when brushing your teeth, stop taking aspirin if you are doing so.
Look up dr Ellie philips and her mouth are comes clean system.
What are you talking about. ALL studies out there show that vit c (ascorbic acid) helps prevent gum disease. Now if you were taking the chewable then that may be a different story.
Camu Camu Juice Powder has natural vitamin C + Polyphenols
Freeze dried Kakadu plum powder is the best source of vitamin c
Which vitamin u suggest
Most people should get most vitamins from the food they eat except those that have conditions that makes it necessary to take some supplements
Is Bio active B Complex okay-to take? What kind do we buy? Is it called whole food B complex? Help!!!
Natural vitamins are simply too expensive.
What is the problem if a vitamin is produced synthetically or extracted from a natural product when the chemical formula will be exactly the same and the final product clean for consumption?

The Best B Complex is Non fortified nutritional yeast.
This is a powerhouse of natural B's.
Number 2 on my list is someone talking about what not to take and to take what you shouldn't, remember they all push pharmaceuticals. One is fda fraud, and the other is pharmaceutical corruption.
I have a daughter born with hydrocephalus and was told for my next child to take folic acid

They never recommend any brand. I will buy grass fed..
Yeah natural is better than synthetic then again most company says they use natural organic products on the label and charge heavy price then in reality they use cheap synthetic stuff in it. Most RUclips "doctors" just want to market their own products to make money out of it.
Actually, it seems most vitamins, pharmaceuticals and supplements are chemically derived... and that's a bummer.
I can't afford the natural one. what will I do? Don't take it anymore?
Can u recommend any organic folic acid suppliment
Folic acid can increase certain disease rates?
What diseases?
Your information is inconclusive.
How about taking Brewers Yeast, for your B vitamins?
What about Kirklands vitamin water zero that states:
